TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that.
She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met.
It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here.
Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed.
While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information.
The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate).
The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean.
Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

Location: Very convenient. Short 10 minute Didi taxi ride (10rmb) to the ancient city. Or can take bus (2 RMB) 15mins. From Airport Didi 15 mins (20 RMB).
Room: The room is clean, with fast wifi, very cool aircon, smart lights and curtains. Has all the amenities you need: kettle, great hairdryer and each day will have basic room cleaning and you get new toiletries and bottled water.
Besides the comfort of the room, what makes this place really great are the staff. From the moment you arrive, they come out to greet you, take you into their cozy reception room and check you in while enjoying fruits and/or Xinjiang nut snacks. Not all staff spoke English but any translation app will do and they all are so willing to help. They gave very valuable advice of places to visit so ask them any questions! The owner can speak English and I'm sure you will get to meet him as he is very hands on and around everyday to make sure all his guests are taken care of and enjoying their stay. He is a great guy and I believe is the real reason what makes this hotel so good!
When I come back to Kashi/Kashgar, no hesitation I will definitely stay at this hotel. Highly recommend!!!

UUtente ospiteThe hotel exterior was amazing, felt like we were in some sort of fairy tale. Location was fantastic too, right in the middle of the ancient city so we were in the middle of it all as soon as we woke up. Room was very clean and tidy, but the service was on another level. The breakfast was so good and had so much variety that we were full for the whole day! But the best part of our trip was Enwar, he was beyond AMAZING! his English was impeccable so we had a good time conversing and he really taught us a lot about the culture and we felt like we made a genuine friend on this trip. He took us to places after we got lost and really was an amazing human being, who also helped us get the best deals when it came to shopping as well! I wish nothing but the best for him. He also ensured we were super comfortable and all our needs were taken care of.
ONLY 2 downsides were the room didn't have any window, which was not made super clear during booking and the aircon faced away from the bed so can get a little on the hotter side but nothing too unbearable as we generally had a good sleep as the bed was comfortable. Also the private balcony was accessible by anyone living in the hotel so wasn't exactly private.

UUtente ospiteDato che sono andato nella contea di Ta per due giorni durante il mio viaggio a Kashgar, ho prenotato una camera da letto king-size business per due notti dopo il mio ritorno. La camera è grande, con un divanetto, per il resto è simile alla camera doppia superior dei due giorni precedenti. Nel complesso, sono molto soddisfatto. Questo viaggio a Kashgar si è concluso con successo.

Il design dell'hotel è avanzato e di qualità, l'intero piano aperto di libreria è dotato di catene e cinture di luce, il divano è ampio e confortevole nella zona di riposo, il tetto specchio è spazioso per l'atmosfera, e il bel robot di consegna, i dettagli intelligenti sono pieni, e si siede molto gentile quando si aspetta di soggiornare.

Llewis23Extremely well located, and great value for money. Happy staff who are very welcoming, and the room had everything it needed.
My only concern was some extremely noisy guests in another room, which continued from midnight until 6am on one of the nights. Admittedly, I did not raise this to the staff as it felt too late to do so, so I cannot comment on how well it would've been handled. I'm sure they would have helped to stop it. It does mean that the soundproofing isn't totally perfect, but everything else was very good.
Enjoyed my stay, will return if I come back to Kashgar.

QQiranxiangnuanQuesto è un ottimo hotel in tutti gli aspetti.La posizione è al contrario della città antica e è comodo per la sua viaggio.La stanza è calda e confortevole, le strutture sono nuove e funzionali, e l'isolamento sono buono.La colazione è ricco di sapore e i dettagli sanitari sono fatti bene.Il servizio della ricetta è attento e fa la gente come il vento primavera. Dopo il soggiorno, ho scoperto che il caldo della stanza non era riscaldato. Dopo aver chiamato per spiegare la situazione, il personale ha subito inviato un nuovo. L'efficienza del servizio è troppo alta, deve essere elogiato!

DDDMDOverall, quite a decent stay. You really can’t beat the location. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the main entrance to this side of old city. The balcony overlooks the main street and I loved sitting there and taking in the sounds and smells. The building itself is a bit older and it shows. The table in my room was a bit dirty and aged, and there was an ashtray which suggests smoking can be allowed in the room for prior guests, but thankfully there was no cigarette smell in my room. Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks. The bathroom shower did not drain well and after 5 minutes water would start flooding out of the shower room to the hallway. There are two washers in a lower room but they were both occupied with sheets that were just sitting there and had not been put through the wash cycle yet. It seemed like the hotel uses these as their main washer for their linens. When I was checking in, the front desk person seemed confused if I had a reservation but that’s about as much as I could figure out with the language barrier. My trip.com reservation said I have a late checkout of 4pm but they came to my room around 2:45pm and said I was supposed to check out at 2pm. Thankfully I had everything packed up and said I could leave at 3pm. No one came to my room to clean so my trashcan was full. You can hear everything on the street which wasn’t a big problem to me, sort of white noise drowned out by the second day. However, the second day there was a new group of tourists that arrived and spent a lot of time on the balcony (as they should) but their noise was very audible and quite annoying. You could also easily hear people going up and down the stairs and in adjacent rooms.

BBlade.around.the.worldI had originally booked another hotel for my 10 day stay in Kashgar but my intrigue with the historical background that's behind the Seman Hotel made me switch hotels.
Admittedly I was a little disappointed upon my arrival when I realized the Rezen brand had decided to choose a modern approach with their recent renovations. But in the end it was fine; the hotel's rooms are very comfortable, in excellent state with outstanding beds, good sound isolation and very good amenities. The shower has a great pressure and the rooms are warm and refreshing in the cold winter.
The location is okay, walking distance to the old town, Uyghur restaurants and a mall.
The receptionists are outstanding and have a wonderful service mind. We had a small issue with housekeeping halfway our stay but the problem got resolved with exactly the kind of attitude you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
All in all for the low off season price we paid it was an outstanding value and a true pleasure to stay at the Rezen Seman Hotel in Kashgar. I would highly recommend this hotel and dont let the slightly shabby look of the outside of the hotel make you change your mind as from the inside the hotel is modern, clean, well decorated and comfortable.
