A lovely, modern, waterside park, seems quite new and everything is in first class condition. We have an ensuite facility that is spacious and well appointed. There is an on-site restaurant/bar that is excellent for happy hour taking in the wonderful water views. It surely must be one of the best camp kitchens I have seen, as it has everything you need, fridges, freezers, elec hotplates, BBQ grill plates, microwaves and more. A lovely find for us and we wish we had longer to really enjoy the place better.

Bottom line: Stay well clear of this untrustworthy place. We booked via booking.com a ”queen room with sea view” at the Queechy Motel because of the many good reviews. When we arrived, the room we were given (room 25) had only a view of the car park. To see the water you had to come outside and stand in the car park. We raised this to the property manager who said firstly ”That's not the sea”. And then the outright shamelessly absurd ”It doesn’t say that you can see the sea from the room”. When we pressed the matter that we had clearly booked a room with a water view. He became very aggressive and accused us of being abusive. We had simply asked for what we had paid for as advertised. He stated that he had taken people to court ”for this” (for what they were promised and paid for but did not recieve?). He the said that he was calling the police. He did better. He went to his car and drove to the police station returning with four policemen in 2 cars. He told them that we were not welcome to stay. Since they had just been called, we did not want to stay. The police told us that we had to leave even though we have done nothing wrong. We asked for a refund as the owner refused to provide the room as advertised. The owner stated to all that he could not refund because booking.com were the agent. This was lie. When we contacted booking.com they stated that the motel initiates the payment. Following our request for a refund, they stated that the owner had refused. Even though the owner told us to leave their property and denied service. So this motel owner misrepresented the room and called the police, asking for us to be removed because we asked for what we had paid for. He then charged us for the room anyway and refused to refund. 288 dollars taken from us for nothing. But much much worse than the money is the feeling of being lied to and robbed. To anybody reading this we would suggest you stay as far away from this untrustworthy place as possible. We managed to get last minute accomodation at the Panorama St Helens hotel. Staff are helpful and the room is really nice with 180 degree sea views, a jacuzzi and a good price at the end.

Situato a 87 acri di un bel ambiente naturale sulle coste della baia di Georges, questo è stato un luogo perfetto per rilassarsi per due notti e solo godere della tranquillità della natura che ci circonda. Se siete un po' in uccelli (come noi) siete ben curati, con binoculari e libro di identificazione uccelli forniti. C'è un uccello nascosto al bordo dell'acqua, per vedere i numerosi squali neri, eroi bianchi e altri uccelli acquatici, gatti bianchi che crescono nei cavoli di pellicce e fagioli meravigliosi nelle erbe. Poi ci sono i mieleater, gli uccelli, eccetera, negli alberi e nelle barbabietole, il raptor occasionale, e aggiungere i suoni di fondo tranquilli di fragole e cicada. Solo la nostra idea di felicità! Siamo stati in un appartamento Sandpiper, che era moderno, spazioso, molto ben arredato e la cucina ben attrezzata per la cucina. I proprietari vivono sulla proprietà e la mantengono bene, e sono felici di incontrarsi e parlare con. Vorremmo che il nostro soggiorno a Pelican Point fosse stato più lungo.

Sulla strada da Wineglass Bay a Launceston, abbiamo scelto questo hotel per una notte. Appena svegli, potremmo andare a Flaming Bay per il check-in. L'hotel si trova a 20 minuti di auto da Flaming Bay. L'ambiente generale di questo hotel è simile a quello di una pensione Samsung domestica, ma le strutture e l'igiene all'interno sono ancora OK. Anche la zia alla reception è molto entusiasta. Ricordo che la colazione costa 10 dollari australiani a persona, e puoi scegliere diversi set per il brunch, che hanno un buon sapore L'unica cosa negativa dell'hotel è che, poiché la posizione è un po' disattivata, vodafone non può ricevere il segnale. Il mio cellulare è dell'operatore Optus, quindi delle 4 persone nello stesso gruppo, solo il mio cellulare ha il segnale. Anche il WiFi è inutile. La nostra camera non è ben posizionata e il WiFi non viene ricevuto affatto.

Stayed in room 9. Certainly not an apartment more like a cell. Very small narrow room with no outside window other than the bathroom one with obscure glass and a locked insect screen and the outside door which had a long narrow piece of glass running down the length of it. Had been sold as a motel unit with a kitchen. No photos of this accommodation appears on the website. I bought food to avoid going out as it was Sunday and nothing much open in St Helen’s. ‘Kitchen’ was a very small bench, a small microwave, a small fridge and no sink to wash dishes. Sentences on information card referring to the mentioned stove top etc had been crossed out with vivid. What was mentioned was a $150 charge if any food smells were left behind. Not sure how you could avoid this if eating in the room and not having a sink to clean up. Using the hand basin didn’t appeal and the porcelain was cracked as well. Didn’t feel comfortable that there would be a safe way out if there was fire. Access was via a lockbox. This felt a little odd. Would not recommend or stay again. If considering make sure you specifically avoid units 8 and 9. Actually if I had then what I know now I would avoid St Helen’s altogether. Found the whole experience disappointing and there are much nicer places to stay and visit on the East Coast.
