A me piace davvero questo hotel. La vista è sorprendente, e la reception è molto amichevole. Hanno anche un ristorante e un bar giù, che è davvero un risparmio per noi dopo un lungo giorno di guida.

We stayed at the Corriegour Lodge Hotel for 2 nights between the 9th - 11th of September. The Lodge is a wonderful old converted Hunting Lodge by Loch Lochy, which is between Loch Ness and Spean Bridge. The Lodge is around halfway down the Loch and is isolated from most local amenities, that may be a good thing for some people or it may be a bad thing, you will certainly have to drive for a good 15 - 20 minutes to get to the nearest town (Spean Bridge), but I'm assuming most people staying at the lodge will have transport so shouldn't be a problem. The owners are very nice people who do their upmost to ensure that your stay is the best it can be. Also to note that the Lodge does have its own private beach which you can use (we never did, but you can), however, the Lodge sits the other side of the A82 from the Loch, meaning, in order to use the beach you have to cross the relatively busy road. When looking at the pictures of the Lodge on Trip Advisor you could be easily mistaken for thinking that the Lodge sits right on the edge of the Loch, but that's not the case, something to bear in mind. The grounds of the Lodge itself are very nice with ample parking, complete with its own waterfall in the back garden. The room we had was Room 4 which had a nice view of Loch Lochy (see pictures), the room itself was a decent size, had its own small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower and was very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. We were aware of the prices of the restaurant for the evening meal and so decided not to eat at the lodge for our evening meal, instead choosing to eat at some other local restaurants which were very good. However, we did have breakfast every morning (as it was included in the price). You have to make your breakfast selection the night before which wasn't an issue for us, but for some people it may feel a bit limiting. The breakfast itself was very nice, every morning I had the full breakfast, Bacon, Egg, Lorne Sausage (which is like a square sausage, quite nice). The only thing I felt was that the breakfast was a bit dry, due to the lack of serving something like Baked Beans with the full breakfast, but, to be fair your getting a full Scottish Breakfast not an English one. The views out of the restaurant are stunning, looking out over Loch Lochy and the Great Glen. There are 2 rooms downstairs which are for exclusive use by the hotel guests, these are a wonderful sitting room with a log fire and a small whiskey bar which sells a variety of bottled beers, ciders and of course whiskeys. It's a nice place to have a drink, but just be aware that the prices are not cheap. The lodge itself is decorated in a very rustic old style which we actually really liked and think it makes the Lodge seem very warm and cosy, almost like stepping back in time, which is a good thing. This may not be to everyone's taste, if you are the sort of traveler who likes new and modern then this place is not for you. I personally enjoyed my

Ok, parlate della parte della zona pubblica: i prodotti del ristorante sono ancora abbastanza standard, e ci sono standard di Michelin, sia pranzo sia colazione... sono abbastanza buoni, ma la qualità del caffè è buona.Il personale di servizio è entusiasta, gentile, sereno e sorridente. Ci sono diversi saloni di soggiorno ricreativi nella zona pubblica interna, anche ristoranti, sono estremamente lussuosi, comodi, scritti, confortevoli, niente da sfidare.Le foreste esterne e i sentieri hanno molte aree ”gravi” da migliorare, come il progetto di verde. Un ultimo commento: il parcheggio è gratuito. Dopo tutto, il proprietario Chai è un cinese dell'Asia sudorientale. Il territorio del castello ha una superficie di 5000 ettari.Se il parcheggio è ancora costoso... è troppo ridotto. In generale... si può dire che è un vento europeo antico, ma le persone non pensano che l'antico vento europeo non debba necessariamente aggiornare o rinnovare strutture e mobili. Soprattutto la superficie è così grande che se si fa bene in termini di verde... è una vecchia frase ”al di fuori dell'oro, perdendolo”.

Lovely experience and warmly welcomed by Matt, who provided an overview of the facilities and assisted in our arrival. We arrived later in the evening and he took the time to check in on us. Nice little touches in the room with wonderful amenities and close proximity to the centre of town. If I was a whiskey drinker, I would have taken a dram from the honour bar which was a nice set up . Loved the stay and will definitely revisit on a future trip
