"Location is strategic. Sadly, No TV channels available until 3rd night. Old building that needs repair. It was suppose to be No Smoking Hotel but then the corridor was horriblly smells with cigarrette smoke. Staff services are good tho."

"Checked in at the hotel at around 9.30pm. I noticed the air conditiong was kinda hot. But i thought to myself, I’ll give it some time run first. Maybe it’ll get better soon. Then an hour later, it was still hot, so i called operator, and she said she will send someone to our room. Waited about 30 minutes or more, still nobody came. I called the second time, and she said she’ll get someone to our room again. And that’s it, nobody came to our room, to help us with the air conditioning. And we were to tired to wait already. So My 8 month old baby sleept sweating that night and i had to fan him with the note book that they put beside the bed. Upon checkout, I complained to the receptionist and the manager about the incident, and they checked on their system that the issue had been resolved. Which was abvioustly a lie. So the manager said he will investigate the matter and he promised something to me. So i hope he keep his words. I’m a regular here, so i know there was something wrong with the air conditioning. I know the quality of the hotel. So let’s see wether the manager is serious about his words."

"La stanza è molto grande, tutte e tre le camere sono al sesto piano. C'è un'interruzione dell'acqua ogni giorno, il water non si scarica e l'unico modo per fare la doccia è chiedere alla reception una tessera per andare in un'altra stanza al tredicesimo piano! A volte non c'è acqua al mattino e a volte di notte, eh! Stanco, dicono che sia un problema del comune, lo dimentichi e non vuole occuparsene, anche gli spogliatoi sono fastidiosi, tranne questo, tutto il resto è a posto, ci vogliono circa dieci minuti a piedi per raggiungere Durian Street e Gaya Street, e anche il centro commerciale Shuguang è raggiungibile a piedi. Fa troppo caldo per camminare durante il giorno, fa più fresco di notte!"

"Servizio fantastico, personale cordiale, disponibile, gentile e professionale. Veloce ed efficiente, e anche premuroso. L'hotel è sulla spiaggia, la loro parte privata della spiaggia è pulita e molto bella. Il cibo è gustoso, prezzo molto onesto, diverse varietà, così come le opzioni alla carta sono belle ed economiche. Altamente raccomandato. Soggiorno molto piacevole, posizione perfetta, attività, palestra, golf, bar sul tetto con vista fantastica, bar anche sulla spiaggia. Ottimo soggiorno, letti comodi, ho anche dormito molto bene. Grazie a tutti per la fantastica esperienza, apprezzamento per tutti i membri dello staff, dalla direzione, al concierge, al personale della sala da pranzo e alle receptionist: comportamento e professionalità eccezionali! Bravo! P.S. Mi dispiace, mi sono goduto così tanto il soggiorno, ho dimenticato di fare foto. Niente vacanze al telefono, mi sono semplicemente goduto l'ambiente. ❤️🙏👍🥳"

"Fabulous service, room was impeccably, clean, and modern, host to hotel was very responsive through WhatsApp, location, right in the heart of KK, bed, super comfortable, and the pillows, one issue was just the check in part. You do need to have WhatsApp, and not only dead on your phone, but to be able to call the host in order for them to let you in the door. I did mention a suggestion to the host about just adding a doorbell for people who aren’t tech savvy. But other than that everything was perfect. Secondly, you do need to climb stairs. You will need to climb to the second floor just to get to their level then you climb another floor to get to the hotel. "

"My stay at the resort was not as smooth as i hoped, i did have some issues as the resort clearly requires a lot of attention in terms of maintenance. The issues i faced were addressed promptly by Mr Jakil who has the knowledge and competence to address many of the issues the resort is facing. As i have more than 15 years of management experience, i know talent when i see it and i believe Mr Jakil has it and should be given more responsibility and authority in the hotel to raise the quality and standards."

"Questo resort ha una bella vista sul mare, ma una piccola zona di spiaggia che ti ha consentito di giocare. Deciso di rimanere a Sutera Harbour invece di Shangrila a causa del castello di lusso nella piscina. Il castello di Bounce non funziona però tutto il tempo; ha allegato il tempo di funzionamento per riferimento. Inoltre, il primo giorno di arrivo, il castello di Bounce non funzionava dalle 4:00 - 6:00. Il secondo giorno, non funzionava neanche durante le 12:00 - 2:00. Per fortuna il mio ragazzo ha dovuto giocare dalle 4:00 alle 6:00. Il check-in è lento ma il personale è amichevole.Nota che ci sono molti turisti cinesi che soggiornano in hotel, tuttavia tutti i membri del personale che ho incontrato non parlano cinese. Mi chiedo perché l'hotel non impiega personale in grado di parlare cinese, poiché vi sono così tanti turisti cinesi che rimangono. L'hotel offre una navetta per negozi e centro città che è molto conveniente."

"L'ambiente non è bello come mi aspettavo. Ho sentito che le camere a Saliya Shangri-La non sono molto vecchie e l'ambiente è molto bello, quindi ho scelto questo posto. Ma la stanza vera e propria è molto vecchia e non c'è la doccia, solo una vasca da bagno con una tenda da doccia! Sentirsi male. Inoltre, non so se la camera in cui abbiamo alloggiato fosse una parte separata della suite e l'isolamento acustico era pessimo. Ci sono molte attività e piccole attrazioni nell'hotel scritte nel pacchetto. La cosiddetta cascata è davvero molto piccola. Sono sorpreso che possa essere chiamata cascata. Lo scenario non è poi così bello. Ovviamente non abbiamo partecipato al percorso escursionistico, quindi non sappiamo come. Anche la spiaggia privata non ci è sembrata così bella. Forse non abbiamo remato e non sapevamo che ci fossero delle belle isole nelle vicinanze. Il tramonto era ok, ma era più breve e non bello come quelli visti allo Sky Mirror e al Tanjong Shangri-La. Nel ristorante dell'hotel non c'è niente di delizioso, non c'è molta scelta e il sapore non è buono. Il prezzo non è davvero economico. Alla fine, la gestione del personale di questo hotel è stata davvero pessima. Ho incontrato un impiegato della portineria con scarsa integrità. Ha promesso di prendere i soldi che abbiamo restituito e di aiutarci a richiedere un rimborso, ma non lo ha fatto. Anche la comunicazione via e-mail con l'hotel non è stata fluida. Alla fine, ho presentato un reclamo alla sede centrale e ho chiesto il monitoraggio e la questione è stata risolta. Altamente sconsigliato."

"I visited the hotel with my parents, my wife and my daughter. We stayed for four nights, checking in on 3rd May and checked out on the 7th. This is actually my second time visiting this hotel, the first time being 30 years ago, again with my parents. I had great memories as a kid so I was looking forward to this trip. The First night was great, had dinner at Coco Joe's and rested after a long trip. The Second day was fantastic, breakfast and dinner and Cafe Tutu, met a lovely dining lady named Rohana. During the day, we enjoyed the great activities of the Leisure Center. Friendly staff from there made the experience children friendly. And the icing of the dessert - the sunset parade, Jamie loves it. Housekeeping did a surprise heartwarming job, covering the lion doll of my daughter with a little towel on the pillow, very cute and thoughtful move. The Third Day we went out to town so didn't stay much time in the hotel. The Fourth Day, was quite disappointing to be honest. Housekeeping did not arrive in the morning when we were out playing at the pool. I understand as there are many rooms to take care of. We went back to the room to rest between 2-4pm, switch on the ”Do not disturb” button, and somehow housekeeping team arrived so they put a card to say they could not clean as we put up the do not disturb button. Fair enough, but again, there was five hours in the morning which they could clean the room. Leaving the room again at 4pm for activities, I called service center for housekeeping, switched off the ”Do not disturb” button and went out. We returned at 7:45pm, still there was no housekeeping. Frustrated, I called the service center again requesting for housekeeping, they replied they will check and follow up with housekeeping. Half an hour later, still no one turned up. Extremely irritated, I called service center for housekeeping again. This time, housekeeping finally arrived but our whole family were waiting for clean towels to have shower. VERY disappointing with the effecitivness of housekeeping and service center on this incident. On that very same day, I discovered a big crockcroach in the toilet, so I do have a big quetion mark on the housekeeping of this hotel. The day was worsen when we had dinner at Coco Joe's, where we wait for nearly an hour (from 6pm to 6:53pm) before we get all our food served. I did complain it to the manager when he came by, which he did apologise and waived our dining fee. Despite my disgrunt towards the long waiting time of the dishes, I would like to give credit on the manager (I think his name is Mr Kan?) in terms of how he managed the complaint. Overall, the experience is mixed. With friendly staff at leisure center + Cafe Tutu, good food but unreasonably long waiting time at Coco Joe's, and disappointing housekeeping after the heartwarming performance on the second day. The hardware of the hotel is great (view, pool design, restaurant seating) but our experience was mainly affected by the staff. On this ocassions, I would like to give commendation to the following staff: Rohana, Majid (both from Cafe Tutu), all staff from Leisure Centre (especially the two ladies and two gentleman hosting water polo and volleyball respectively), and Kan from Coco Joe's on complaint management. Please keep up on the good work you already have, and work hard on things that requires improvement:)"
