Kota Kinabalu: i migliori hotel per soggiorni di lavoro

"Sono arrivato all'alba e ho controllato se fosse possibile effettuare il check-in 24 ore su 24 e ho prenotato un hotel, ma alle 2 del mattino non c'era nessuno alla reception, quindi ho dovuto aspettare impazientemente per 40 minuti prima che un membro del personale arrivasse e mi facesse entrare in camera. È stata un'esperienza davvero assurda."

"Francamente, era la piccola cosa. La stanza era semplice, ma super pulita. Il letto era un po' più comodo di quanto mi aspettassi. Il personale era genuino amico, non il tipo falso. Tutto quello che mi serviva era vicino, quindi non ho perso tempo per arrivare. Per il prezzo che ho pagato, mi sentivo come se avessi fatto di più di quanto mi aspettassi. Non è fantastico, ma solido. Sarei sicuramente rimasto di nuovo."

"Il colazione è pieno di scelta, ma l'esperienza di soggiorno non è stato davvero buono come il desk mi ha detto che la vostra stanza è al centro del piano alla fine è l'ultima seconda stanza (che deve camminare per 2 collegamenti dall'ascensore) ma la posizione dell'hotel era strategico a partire dalla strada Gaya"

"La stanza è molto grande, tutte e tre le camere sono al sesto piano. C'è un'interruzione dell'acqua ogni giorno, il water non si scarica e l'unico modo per fare la doccia è chiedere alla reception una tessera per andare in un'altra stanza al tredicesimo piano! A volte non c'è acqua al mattino e a volte di notte, eh! Stanco, dicono che sia un problema del comune, lo dimentichi e non vuole occuparsene, anche gli spogliatoi sono fastidiosi, tranne questo, tutto il resto è a posto, ci vogliono circa dieci minuti a piedi per raggiungere Durian Street e Gaya Street, e anche il centro commerciale Shuguang è raggiungibile a piedi. Fa troppo caldo per camminare durante il giorno, fa più fresco di notte!"

"Hotel nuovo, personale fantastico e disponibile. Bisogna usare Grab per raggiungere il centro commerciale più vicino, Imago e altri luoghi di interesse. Ci sono alcuni ristoranti locali nei dintorni. I prezzi sono ragionevoli. Un ringraziamento speciale a Olivia, membro dello staff."

"La posizione dell'hotel è davvero comoda. Il molo è raggiungibile a piedi. Vicino all'hotel si trova un centro commerciale, molto comodo per i ristoranti. C'è anche un minimarket. L'aeroporto è raggiungibile in soli 20 minuti."

"I visited the hotel with my parents, my wife and my daughter. We stayed for four nights, checking in on 3rd May and checked out on the 7th. This is actually my second time visiting this hotel, the first time being 30 years ago, again with my parents. I had great memories as a kid so I was looking forward to this trip. The First night was great, had dinner at Coco Joe's and rested after a long trip. The Second day was fantastic, breakfast and dinner and Cafe Tutu, met a lovely dining lady named Rohana. During the day, we enjoyed the great activities of the Leisure Center. Friendly staff from there made the experience children friendly. And the icing of the dessert - the sunset parade, Jamie loves it. Housekeeping did a surprise heartwarming job, covering the lion doll of my daughter with a little towel on the pillow, very cute and thoughtful move. The Third Day we went out to town so didn't stay much time in the hotel. The Fourth Day, was quite disappointing to be honest. Housekeeping did not arrive in the morning when we were out playing at the pool. I understand as there are many rooms to take care of. We went back to the room to rest between 2-4pm, switch on the ”Do not disturb” button, and somehow housekeeping team arrived so they put a card to say they could not clean as we put up the do not disturb button. Fair enough, but again, there was five hours in the morning which they could clean the room. Leaving the room again at 4pm for activities, I called service center for housekeeping, switched off the ”Do not disturb” button and went out. We returned at 7:45pm, still there was no housekeeping. Frustrated, I called the service center again requesting for housekeeping, they replied they will check and follow up with housekeeping. Half an hour later, still no one turned up. Extremely irritated, I called service center for housekeeping again. This time, housekeeping finally arrived but our whole family were waiting for clean towels to have shower. VERY disappointing with the effecitivness of housekeeping and service center on this incident. On that very same day, I discovered a big crockcroach in the toilet, so I do have a big quetion mark on the housekeeping of this hotel. The day was worsen when we had dinner at Coco Joe's, where we wait for nearly an hour (from 6pm to 6:53pm) before we get all our food served. I did complain it to the manager when he came by, which he did apologise and waived our dining fee. Despite my disgrunt towards the long waiting time of the dishes, I would like to give credit on the manager (I think his name is Mr Kan?) in terms of how he managed the complaint. Overall, the experience is mixed. With friendly staff at leisure center + Cafe Tutu, good food but unreasonably long waiting time at Coco Joe's, and disappointing housekeeping after the heartwarming performance on the second day. The hardware of the hotel is great (view, pool design, restaurant seating) but our experience was mainly affected by the staff. On this ocassions, I would like to give commendation to the following staff: Rohana, Majid (both from Cafe Tutu), all staff from Leisure Centre (especially the two ladies and two gentleman hosting water polo and volleyball respectively), and Kan from Coco Joe's on complaint management. Please keep up on the good work you already have, and work hard on things that requires improvement:)"

"I love the swimming pool especially at night! And the location is very good that there’s so many restaurants behind the hotel! Everything was perfect:)"

"Pros: The hotel is conveniently located near everything — KK Plaza, the Philippines Market, Gaya Street, and more. As it is a new hotel, the amenities are modern and well-maintained. There is a good view for watching the sunset, although it was cloudy during my stay. The security system is also good; you need to tap your room card to use the lift, which adds an extra layer of safety. Cons: Sometimes, the room had an unpleasant sewage smell. In the afternoon, the room became extremely hot due to its sun-facing direction and took over an hour to cool down. The door was very hard to open and close, which made loud noises, especially at night when neighbors were coming and going. One day, the lift system was unable to detect my room card, and I almost missed my tour because of it. On another day, after returning from outside, my room card could not be used to open the door or operate the lift. Lastly, the breakfast menu was almost the same every day, and I got tired of it after four days."

"Il Luma Hotel era incredibile e pulitissimo! L'atmosfera era piacevolmente profumata. Il fattorino e il personale di servizio erano eccezionali. L'hotel è situato in posizione strategica, vicino al centro commerciale Imago, raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata attraverso un ponte. È anche vicino a diversi minimarket e al Chagee. Il personale ci ha offerto un servizio eccellente, aiutandoci a depositare i bagagli mentre aspettavamo il volo. La nostra camera era spaziosa e confortevole."
