Santiago: i migliori hotel a 5 stelle

Il Parador de Santiago de Compostela è uno splendido ed austero palazzo storico sede un tempo dei regnanti spagnoli e domina la piazza della Cattedrale. È un “museo” che illustra la vita dei re cattolici e lo sfarzo sostanziale ma contenuto di questa loro dimora, è visibile nelle parti comuni e nei saloni come, appunto, in un museo. La struttura possente ha quattro chiostri interni e un sotterraneo in cui è stato ricavato un suggestivo ristorante con volte in pietra e mattoni e finestre a livello piazza, ed un bistrot più informale. Visitare tutto il complesso rende più piacevole il soggiorno: i saloni, i chiostri, gli arredi…. Personale preparato e cortese senza essere invadente, ristorazione al top, parcheggio in struttura o in parking pubblico convenzionato, ad un tiro di schioppo dal Parador … e tanta, tanta magica atmosfera! Gruppi di Pellegrini festanti e vocianti, messa solenne a Ferragosto per la ricorrenza dell’Assunta… Paradores? Una garanzia! Noi ne abbiamo già sperimentato una ventina e, detto per inciso, quello di Santiago non è più caro di un hotel di lusso a Forte dei Marmi, con trattamento di mezza pensione… Pensateci!

Clean, staff friendly. C'è un'università intorno, il lago è bellissimo. A circa 15 minuti dalla Catedral di Santiago, non è male tornare e uscire e stare tranquillo.

Hotel is in a great location and near all the main tourist areas, and also shops, bars and restaurants. I was very disappointed about the staff at the hotel. On check-in, after waiting about 10 minutes as the receptionist typed on her computer, we eventually got our room keys. Staff were not very welcoming and did not tell us anything about the hotel, facilities, breakfast room or the Pool. When we got to the room, we found that we didnt have a bath-tub (which was why I booked that room), no robe and no slippers. Mini-bar was empty with a sign saying it was closed due to Covid safety. I have no idea what Covid safety has to do with it. No other hotel I was in in Spain has had excuse. Also, no water in the room. No sanitisers in the room either. When I called reception to enquire, she said she would send water up, and then we had to sign to pay 4 Euro for the bottle. Terrible service, how can a hotel not provide water to their guest. This is coming from an expensive 5 star hotel. On checkout it was as bad, but I couldnt wait to leave then. Checkout person had a phone to his ear the whole time, took our key cards, and the continued his call. No receipt, no 'goodbye', nothing. The room itself was very nice, but the sound proofing is absolutely awful. All we could hear each morning was the noise of doors banging, hoovers and we could even hear snoring from the room beside us. So you had no choice but to wake up early with all the noise. Also the air-con is terrible, we left it on the whole time, and the room was still very warm. It was only about 20 degrees outside, so I would hate to stay here in the miiddle of Summer. Total let down of a hotel, I would avoid it. I think alot of 5 star hotels have gotten lazy during Covid, but have no problem charging top prices.

Chose this hotel for overnight as on outskirts of SDC for easy get away next morning. Situated high on a hill the rooms face the courtyard or the pool/ tennis court, town and busy road. Super easy parking. Decor is a bit 80s time warp, but the hotel has a slightly faded grand hotel layout with sitting areas about, wide corridors and spacious rooms. we took a family room so we had 2 double beds for a bit more space rather than 2 small singles. Due to Covid the room was a bit *****ped down...no kettle, minibar, robes, slippers, notepad etc. Very clean. Got a complimentary bottle wine but no corkscrew to open it. Good basic buffet breakfast with plastic gloves to wear to use buffet. Simón, who checked us in was charming and very helpful giving us all the useful info. Good wifi. Did hear some noise from nearby room with kids going crazy but just a few hours in the evening. Wonderful huge size bath. Great linen and pillows and very comfy bed made for good nights sleep. Would use again. If you want to open windows ask for a room facing the courtyard so there is no road noise. Room service limited hours but came fast and was delicious. Very good value for what we paid and a great night's sleep.

Stile sopra la sostanza - soggiornato una notte dopo passeggiare il Camino. Room modern but hotel is located near Galicia Plaza and is central so noisy both day and night, especially when Spain sleeps in the afternoon and stays up late evening. Quarta camera - finestra piccola alzata alti, quindi nessuna vista e incastrata in ; nessuna informazione su né - sì 2 cassette nel cassetto- quindi non ne ho idea quante cifre sono necessarie, ecc; doccia - v v v divario marginale tra correre v caldo o freddo, Impossibile ottenere una temperatura media; la seconda doccia non poteva ottenere il cambio di doccia (sotto il tappo) per rimanere così doveva lavare in 2 pollici di acqua nel bagno - quindi apparire sopra la prassi. Il codice QR ti porta all'informazione dell'hotel - accuratamente alimentato con questo e utilizzando la batteria telefonica / spazio ecc più doveva andare alla ricezione per il codice wifi come non in camera. Wifi non ha funzionato nel ristorante in soffitto.

Ubicato a pochi minuti dalla stazione ferroviaria e dal centro storico, offre una vasta gamma di confort di qualità. Il patio centrale gode di una gradevole illuminazione grazie al gran lucernario che lo corona, ed è contornato da numerose piante naturali che contribuiscono a creare un ambiente gradevole e rilassante; la medesima cosa si può notare tramite i due ascensori panoramici al servizio delle varie camere. La camera era ampia, arredata in modo moderno, pulita e ben tenuta. Il personale gentile e disponibile. Il buffet per la prima colazione abbastanza vario. E’ disponibile un parcheggio a pagamento. Prezzo nella media. Utilizzando il mio metro di valutazione ( da 1 min a 5 max): qualità 4,quantità ( riferita al buffet per la prima colazione) 4 , prezzo 4, servizio 4 , ambiente 5.

abbiamo soggiornato qui solo una notte, ma siamo stati molto bene, a disposizione degli ospiti un parcheggio gratuito. è possibili raggiungere con 10 minuti di camminata Rua de San Lazaro Costa, dove ci sono diversi ristorantini, che si trovano proprio sul famoso Cammino (ci siamo passati davanti come pellegrini all'ultima tappa). la posizione è ottima per chi viene dall'aeroporto, non vicino alla Cattedrale e al centro. camere davvero spaziose e pulitissime. il materasso è buono, i cuscini tipici anche. la doccia e bagno grandi. camere insonorizzate e silenziose, buio garantito da grosse tende oscuranti. camera tipica di un business hotel, con scrivania, cassaforte, frigobar e tv. il wifi potente.. molto gentile il personale, check in rapido. la colazione eccezionale, con tanti prodotti freschi, uova strapazzate, torte, brioches e croissants, apprezzato il fatto che cercano di limitare l'uso di prodotti confezionati plastica monouso. buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

This is one difficult review to write as I always like to say as many positive things in my reviews. However, this has to be said if only for the hotel to improve their service and/or re-evaluate their culture. I was excited that this hotel was a Melia hotel because we've stayed in Melia hotels in Spain before and were very happy with our experience. Here is one beautiful, modern hotel that we looked forward to staying in especially after our Camino Walk. I checked in our group of 9 ahead of the others and was efficiently attended to by Pilar and Lourdes at the Front Desk. The hotel offered a lovely breakfast spread. That's where all the positives stop, I'm afraid. That night, we booked for a late dinner to celebrate my son's birthday and the end of a tiring Camino Walk. While seated at the long table in front of the bar, we were subjected to very rude treatment by the waitress named Marta. When one of our companions asked for an extra soup bowl, she said it was impossible. To give her the benefit of the doubt in case there was a misunderstanding in language differences, my friend asked our Spanish tour escort to ask the waitress for our bowl. The next thing we saw was our tour escort being rudely treated by the waitress speaking to our tour escort at the bar, telling him off. We understand some Spanish but what we saw from the body language and our tour escort backing away from the wait staff spoke volumes. He was being harassed by the wait staff. All we asked was for our tour escort to ask our waitress, Marta, in Spanish for an extra soup bowl. And we saw very aggressive behavior directed at our tour escort. She handed our tour escort a sauce dish, not a soup bowl, that's how offensive she was. When he told Marta that he wanted to deal with another waiter Christian (the other wait staff who was also there with Marta) told him, pointing at Marta, ”she's the boss”. Where was customer care in this scenario? If Marta refused to attend to our needs, why couldn't Christian attend to us? Two of us went up to the bar to talk to Marta and Christian when we saw what was going on. When I asked her what her problem was, Marta glared at me and said she didn't speak Spanish and went away. I took out my phone and typed on Google Translate: ”Be kind. You are in Customer Service. Where is your manager?” I showed it to Christian since Marta refused to deal with us. A bit later, Pilar from Front Desk came and talked to my friend and me. We told her that we didn't want trouble but that this massive, massive failure in customer service must be addressed. Pilar was very defensive of the wait staff but she did listen when we insisted. When we asked for a manager, or the Officer-In-Charge, we were told that there was no manager on hand. All the staff, all, covered for one another. It made us wonder about the culture of the company. To make things worst, 2 of our orders were not served and we were charged for the orders.
