I had an excellent stay at Hotel Sudu Araliya in Polonnaruwa! The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views and a serene ambiance. The highlight of my visit was witnessing the sunset – it was a truly magical experience. The food was delicious, with a great variety to satisfy every palate. The staff provided exceptional customer service, always friendly and attentive to our needs, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with great views, excellent food, and warm hospitality, Hotel Sudu Araliya is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! 🌅🍽️✨

The hotel has a beautiful garden with 360 degree view of the Lake, thats the only positive aspect of the hotel, i booked a lake view room but was given a partial view room. The room didn’t have a mini bar, hairdryer not working, there was noshower gels, when requested they told only shampoo is provided, which is very weird. Its a run down hotel and needs a revamp of its amenities to be called a four star hotel. For me this is worth a 3 star hotel. There is no shops or hotels nearby, so plan everything before coming to the hotel

This was a great location in Polonnaruwa. We loved all the services provided. The hotel had a great garden and I would say this is one of the best hotel gardens ever experienced in Sri Lanka. I specially thank front office “Hansika” which she was very proactive in helping out, also her wonderful customer service to all of us stayed at the hotel. We also would like to thank “Dilshan” for his services throughout dining. We wish both of these staff very well and hope to come back soon. Also would definitely recommend the place for wonderful stay with fantastic views over Parakrama Samdudraya.

位置優越，毗鄰湖邊，離著名的帕拉卡拉巴忽一世石像只有幾百米。環境優美

房間很乾凈，服務也不錯，就在湖邊，日落很美。就是比較摳門，12歲孩子還加收7000多，雖然酒店政策如此，但是感覺不是很好

清潔です。 レイクビューの部屋にしました。 部屋の大きな窓からキラキラ輝く湖面と夕陽が見られました。

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sudu Araliya! The reception staff, especially Hansika, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel offers a stunning view of Parakrama Samudraya Lake, and the surrounding nature creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect getaway.

Staff including GM and all the managers went out of the way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Laundry man-Nishantha is very efficient and helpful Restaurant, bar staff extremely friendly and provide professional individualised care. Thushara restaurant supervisor is very efficient and nice Bar attendant is extremely good.

A special mention goes to the General Manager, Mr. Roshan, and the Front Office Manager, Mr. Dilan, for their exemplary professionalism and attention to detail. Very average, compared their own chain hotel araliya red, this hotel needs much more improvement. Foods are very limited. The breakfast buffet had only fruits as dessert. Chicken curry only had the smallest ever chicken pieces mostly chicken necks n wings , it was same for all the 3 meals. It was a very crowded day, so meals could be better. The chef at the live station disappear after making few items n its almost unavailable. Outdoor balcony of the rooms were not properly cleaned n the door of the room number 135 that we stayed couldn’t be locked, it could be opened even without the room key

From the moment of our arrival to the very last moment as we left, the staff at Hotel Sudu Araliya made us feel extra special at every moment they could! Whilst the hotel decor itself is a little dated, the nearby to Polonnaruwa location, beautiful lake setting and the staff service was truly wonderful. Thushara and team are doing a great job!

We, 4 families stayed at this hotel on full board basis on 23rd May of 2014. Location of the hotel, the meals and the staff of the hotel were good. Only problem we faced was lacking Wi Fi for rooms. In some rooms phone facility was not available..
