One of the oldest hotel along Gurney Drive but still among the best and cheapest in that area. Clean and friendly staff. Fair breakfast buffet spread. Free canned drinks and apples daily. Simply amazing hotel. We chose the seaview deluxe room and the view facing the bay was amazing. The new Gurney bay park is just in front of the hotel where you can jog and catch sunrise at the promenade. Evergreen Laurel is surely my favorite hotel in Georgetown and will come back here soon.

The hotel is good and clean, but the service of parking security is terrible, before we check in, one of the security was playing his phone and videocalling with his friend，so he didnt even notice our car，when he finally noticed us after my husband was leaving to check in first， he knocked our car heavily，and said this is not parking area，i said ok，just a second，he is checking in，the security was rolling his eyes and said it emphasisly again，asked me to move it and i dont even have driving license here. One minutes later ，my husband was back with room card，he checked and let us just parking right there！！ can not believe there are rude staff in this fancy hotel！ 这个酒店的保安无比地*****，我们车停在门口去checkin ，有一个印度保安当时在草丛里玩手机压根没看到我们，然后我老公刚离开座位，车引擎今年还开这，就听见有人猛敲我车窗，我吓一跳看见这个印度保安从草丛里跑出来手机不玩了，说这不是停车位，我说好的 等一分钟，他去checkin ，我们马上开走，他在那翻着白眼大声说这不是停车位！ 我说我没驾照，不然你来开。他一副高高在上的嘴脸，站在我车门口，然后等我老公出来拿着房卡，他一看是酒店的客人，就说把车摆正，等我们下车他赶紧跑远了。酒店平时都没有服务态度的培训吗，他都把自己当这酒店主人了

We had a pleasant three-day stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, situated between two large malls with plenty of shops and restaurants and within a reasonable cab ride to both George Town and Batu Ferringhi. The room was quite spacious but a little bit dated and worn down. It could use a refresh. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We enjoyed using the beautiful infinity pool. Service was friendly and efficient. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Although there is a good variety of items offered, many just weren't very tasty. The best thing on the buffet was the homemade ice cream. Overall, this is a good place to stay when exploring the island of Penang.

The white elevator is very unique to this elevator. Tho it was slow but I don’t mind bec it so chic with glass door. Very unique indeed! Love it though I wasn’t able to take pic. 😒 +++ white elevator, water refilling dispenser, very spacious room & bathroom +++ location was quite away from the main action but there are 2 bus stops nearby, komtar & chowrasta are 5-10mins walk +++ they provide dental kit, small soap, nice shampoo/conditioner & body wash, mugs, electric kettle, safe, ref, ac was functioning very well, room telephone, tv but i did not use it +++ free wifi was good —- reception is not very friendly except for 1 Indian guy who promptly answers whatsapp tho he mistaken me for a guy at first 😄, the chinese receptionist hardly smiles, indian lady seemed to not know anything when you ask about tourist spots (i think hotel people should equip themselves with some knowledge on tourism. I mean there should be basic orientation by management on this. Times had changed and you need to have these extra customer service, just suggesting). —- i was in the assumption that cleaning is daily but i was told every other day but i still need to remind them about it. Entire hotel can use some improvement in the cleaning — no closet inside the room, you just have to hang your stuff —- my view was a huge wall —- soundproofing is bad, very noisy when people close doors or children running around. You hear toilet flushing from nearby rooms —- it was raining when I arrive and nobody offered an umbrella except on the second day when the janitor heard me. That was appreciated very much. It also made me realize that umbrella is a weapon for solo travellers so that made the carrying a little easier —- towels smell mushy maybe bec of rainy season —- sometimes bathroom had some drainage smells —- food choices was a little limited in area unless you walk for like 5-10mins. Overall stay was still on the good side. I had way worst stays than this. I did enjoy my solo trip to Penang and would love to go back. I plan to stay next time near the street art areas where the actions are. I would still recommend le embassy to other travellers.

Il centro commerciale 1st avenue proprio accanto ha molti servizi come cinema, karaoke, negozi, caffè, farmacie e supermercati. Siamo stati qui per 2 notti e 1 notte in un altro hotel sul mare che costa il doppio ma mi piace di più l'hotel Jen per la sua posizione perfetta. La tv via cavo ha alcuni canali tra cui il calcio, ma sarà fantastico se in futuro avrai Netflix o YouTube. Nel complesso soggiorno molto piacevole.

O era arrabbiata con noi che chiamavamo in anticipo e richiedevamo un check-in anticipato o ci trattava in modo abbastanza poco professionale in base alla nostra posizione sociale. Devo ammettere che la mia amica che era insieme a me è figlia di un VIP che non sente il bisogno di vantare il suo status, ma anche lei è rimasta perplessa per il trattamento poco amichevole. Puoi camminare fino alla famosa Chendol Road Penang e stazione di autobus entro 1 km. Hotel esteticamente molto bello, potrebbe rendere ancora di più se ci fosse più cura nei dettagli, per esempio sulla cucina convenzionata ( che è un ristorante italiano che di italiano forse ha solo il nome: ”Rossi” ). Detto ciò le camere sono belle e spaziose, tutto sommato abbastanza pulite, abbiamo scelto quella con la vasca ( manutenzione e pulizia di quest'ultima da rivedere). Per il costo medio alto che ha rispetto alle altre strutture di Georgetown mi aspettavo qualcosina in più!

Per la prima volta alloggio all'hotel VOUK. Non è sicuramente l'hotel più lussuoso, ma per il punto di prezzo, vale la pena un soggiorno. Pros: La posizione è perfetta, con molti piaceri locali all'interno della vicinanza (2-3km lontano). La receptionista e tutti gli altri membri del personale dell'hotel sono in gran parte amichevoli, tranne che non sono molto fluenti in inglese e la comunicazione può essere un po' difficile. Coni: Le strutture non sono molto complete e la pulizia può essere migliorata, i tazze non sono stati lavati e il pavimento di pavimento non è stato vuoto. P.S. Non consiglio l'odeno dal salone. Abbiamo aspettato 45 minuti anche se eravamo l'unico cliente nel salone. Le noodle non erano cucinate e la tom Yum sepoltura era fatta di olio.

La posizione è fantastica. Vicino al centro GAMA. Fornisce Netflix, torcia, mutandine, ecc ... Configurazione della camera: (1) King Bed (2) 1 Queen 1 Sgl (3) 2 Queens. Spazio con soggiorno e una grande cucina dotata di caldaia, microonde, asciugacapelli e frigorifero. Ma la sua pulizia era in dubbio. Ci siamo rimasti nel letto con un bagno in seguito. La stanza ha profumato, quindi abbiamo dovuto lasciare la porta aperta tutta la notte. Inoltre, il nostro letto ha profumato molto male. Lo schermo della doccia si è spostato fuori dal suo allineamento e sembra pericoloso. Quando arrivarono, ci diedero una carta e una password WiFi specificata e il giorno dopo il check out data. 1. Password Wifi era sbagliata 2. Controllare la data era anche sbagliata Che cosa li ha saputi, hanno fornito una nuova password e hanno confermato che la mia data di check-out è due giorni dopo. Il giorno dopo, non potevamo entrare nell'appartamento come numero di pin per la serratura non era più valido. Quindi tutto il gruppo di anziani e bambini dovevano aspettare che qualcuno venisse a rimettere la pin. Chiese cosa sbagliava, semplicemente dissero errore di sistema. Non ci sono scuse. Non potevo cambiare l'hotel anche a metà strada, perché ho pagato per 2 notti e trasferire 4 anziani + 3 bambini in un altro hotel nell'ultimo minuto durante le vacanze scolastiche di giugno non è una battuta. Mentre le minori inconvenienti sono state risolte alla fine, non credo che rimarrò qui, poiché la pulizia e la sicurezza sono importanti per me.

I recently stayed at SAVV Hotel in March/April 2023. I have stayed in George Town a number of times over 10 years and this (relatively new) hotel is really working very hard to look after guests and now tops my list! Everything was fantastic - staff very friendly, outstandingly helpful and professional from reception, cleaning, to security and maintenance. Hotel is spotless and the small pool gorgeous to cool off in (cleaned regularly). Busy location but I liked this as a solo traveller and felt very safe - easy to catch a Grab car at hotel entrance. Special mention to Mae and Kathy who made my breakfast every day - thinking about that great homemade jackfruit jam! Thanks everyone for making my stay so enjoyable. See you next year! I stayed for one night at The Chambers Hotel. Though it’s well maintained, it still looks dated but still comfortable enough. The receptionist was friendly enough to upgrade me to family room as my own room type was already full. Wifi is quite strong though it may lag sometimes when streaming videos. The toiletries are relatively sufficient with both shampoo/body soap combo and toilet paper (though there’s a bidet spray). I couldn’t find the hair dryer and was careful about opening drawers as some of them looked old and brittle. It would be good if the furniture could be maintained better. Location-wise, this is a very good location as it’s just opposite the Esplanade. It’s a good location for those who wants to mostly visit points of interest in historical George Town. I picked this location as I needed to take my ferry to Butterworth in the morning and this is just 10 minutes walk away. However, as it’s right next to the main road, there tends to be noisy cars passing by even during the wee hours. Convenience wise, there is a water dispenser in the hotel and there is also a 7-Eleven if you need stuff late at night.

When I came there on a rainy day around chinese new year, the old guy at the reception shouted : ” fully booked” agressively, and then when I show him the booking on my phone from Hotels.com, he was a bit kinder, he grumbled about Hotels.com and then offered me a room without window without even offering a discount. I refuses because it wasn't what I had payed for, then he told me they had an other hotelandI could stay there but I had to wait for a guy with a car coming soon to drive me there, I waited for more than an hour then he drove me to the other side of the city to an hotel really crap (foto) and an other room wirhout window, I was really furious, I told then, then emailled them I wanted to cancel and get a full refund, they never replied. As soon I found a new hotel I contacted Hotels.com, they could not reach the hotel, they promised to do their best but 3 days later they had done nothing they even made a confusion with another hotel I had booked thru them, they send me messages every 5/6 days saying they still could not reach the hotel but they keep up trying, and then 2 weeks passed and nothing more, I asked them what was going on: They said they could not reach the hotel and in this case their politic was :no refund! And generously they offered me a 10$ credit! So on Hotels.com they can book for u a room in an hotel already fully booked, and then if the hotel do not reply at your request it can gleefully going away with the money and rent rooms that do not exist! In the normal world, in a justice suit if a party doesn't show up at the court he will lost, the absentee is always wrong, with Hotels.com it's the opposite!

Absolutely terrible. I walk in at 10am, and the guy at the counter does not welcome me, but instead asks for over 100myr. Poor customer service from him, he maybe be new but it would be worth that he gets some training on how to deal with customers. My first room was very dirty. There were stains around the bed, there were stains on the towel, the bathroom had not been cleaned properly, it very disgusting. The cleaners did not look like official cleaners as they were not dressed in uniform. The cupboards were dusty. I asked to move room, and the lady was very kind and moved room. However this room smelt of cigarettes!!! It was vile. Again there was same problem with the room not being clean. I felt incredibly disgusted because whose spit and body fluid could In that room. I instead checked out and found that the manager was rude to his staff. I did not get a refund on my room but did end up with all the extra cash I had to pay.

We stayed with the Ascott group numerous times for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities around the world, and Citadines Connect Georgetown is no exception. The building is renovated from a historical building which gives the hotel a mixture of cultural and contemporary vibe. It's a 3-story newly-built hotel and everything you see is brand new and tidy. The lobby is not large, but there are plentiful spaces to rest for a while. The room we stayed in is Studio Executive, and it's clean enough. The air-conditioning system utilized a touch panel for you to easily adjust to your liking. There are no drinking bottles inside the room but a water dispenser is just in the hallway, both environment-friendly and convenient. One of the things worthy of notice is the tap water system, where hot and cold water may be installed conversely. The hotel itself is located around minutes walk from Komtar neighborhood, and you can easily take buses to the airport or to other areas of Penang via the Komtar terminal. Several malls are also in this area to give you the convenience of shopping. The well-known hawker food centre at Lebuh Presgrave crossroad is also close by, where you can easily grab most of the famous and delicious local dishes here. CAT bus station is also not far from the hotel, and you can tour the UNESCO sites with it for a day trip. Overall, it's an excellent choice to stay here for its brand-new facilities, and its convenience regarding transportation, shopping, and dining.

這麼棒的酒店竟然攜程上評價很少，我也是因為一些原因之前訂的酒店沒有被接單，攜程幫我換到這裏，一開始有點忐忑啊，門臉非常小差點就沒找到，但是進去別有洞天。非常有特色，聽出租司機介紹這個樓有百年歷史，後來翻新做了酒店，真的很厲害！整體感覺乾淨，安靜，有中文前台，服務非常好，詳細介紹了周邊吃飯和買東西的地方。院子景觀別緻，游泳池小巧精緻。早餐每天不一樣，提前一天去前台小姐姐那裡選，雖然不是自助但是絕對絕對夠吃而且味道非常非常贊！這裏住的外國人很多，早餐時候感覺自己像在歐洲而不是東南亞！房間有一個單人床一個雙人床，如果是帶孩子的一家三口，孩子超過5歲會額外收80一天的費用，這樣客房服務會幫我們準備單人床的被褥並且多準備一份早餐！客房每天提供礦泉水，膠囊咖啡，room service 後會放個小零食在被子上，特別可愛温馨！床品舒服，洗澡用品不錯！ 位置在喬治城中心，距離有名的88蝦麪很近，附近有個大商場，大超市，711，福祿壽餅店，走路去壁畫街20分鐘，打車去周圍幾個打卡點基本10多塊就可以！

Questo è un hotel di recente apertura. Le camere sono molto confortevoli e pulite, molto silenziose e parcheggio gratuito davanti alla porta. La cosa più importante è che il capo sia molto simpatico, molto entusiasta e parli cinese! Anche la posizione è di prim'ordine, è facile da trovare e c'è un grande mercato notturno alla porta. Sono qui per viaggiare. La causa dell'epidemia non scomparirà per un po'. Vivo qui da un po' e mi sento molto bene. Lo consiglio vivamente

La posizione era facile da trovare, il processo di check-in era ben fatto e tutto era grande. Il ricevitore era molto amichevole, e la pulizia della stanza era buona. Io e il mio amico abbiamo prenotato lo stesso tipo di camera, ma abbiamo due disegni di camera diversi, aveva una camera più grande con un bagno più piccolo, e la mia era una toilette più grande, ma una camera più piccola. La mia camera è molto piccola e non c'è posto per il nostro bagaglio, ma la vista della mia stanza è solo il muro di un altro edificio, mentre la vista del mio amico è bella soprattutto di notte (posso vedere il bar e il camion al cibo in fondo). Suggerire di contattare il ricevitore per confermare la progettazione della stanza prima di prenotare. IVA il loro corridoio è stato super bello. In generale, altamente raccomandato e soddisfatto!
