We have eaten here many times and we have always had an excellent experience. We had a table reserved on Sunday evening in the restaurant. We started the bar with friendly service and then when were ready, we were shown to our table. The whole evening was very relaxed and enjoyable. All the staff were attentive and welcoming. Our server was called 'Tegan' and she was delightful. The food was outstanding and will be returning again soon.

Found this hotel by chance after I saw a Facebook advert advertising it. Thought looked nice so booked a three night stay in a luxury suite. Throughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. Our meal in the main restaurant was delicious and the service was faultless. Will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel. Highly recommend.

We used the venue for a business meeting recently, and it was exceptional, from the location, the service, the food. I wanted a room that was a step away from the normal corporate environment, and it was perfect. Nice comfy big armchairs - we were able to have the doors open to a small private courtyard, enjoying the fresh air rather than just aircon. The communications from the events team were spot on - and they couldn't do enough to ensure our event ran smoothly and efficiently. The snacks/lunch/afternoon cake as part of the package were delicious. I've ran many work events over a long career - and I honestly can't recommend The Vineyard highly enough. Thank you to all the staff.

We were looking for a spa hotel full board. The reviews for the hotel appeared good. It is not a cheap stay so we expected the best. Generally the stay was great and the spa was very nice except you had to book your 2 hour slot. The meals we good and the service was excellent. Problem was it was only two average size plates of food and anything extra was charged for even bread at £6. I ordered a GnT it was £17 plus a service charge so was in excess of £19. A bit OTT. The room was spacious although very tired. The patio outside had two chairs and a table but the floor was covered in bird poop. The bed base cover was torn and there was no extract in the bathroom. The room definitely needed updating. On receiving our bill by email we noted we were charged over £40 service charge for our dinners. First for us. Would we return - no. The following night we stayed near our family and were in a Young's hotel adjoining there pub in Chertsey. Value for money it was exceptional. A great room with everything one would need an a breakfast with proper coffee and cocktails included all for £125 for 2. Unfortunately no 2 hour spa. Dinner for two £50+. Highly recommend.

I recently dined at the restaurant for dinner and was initially impressed by the beautiful ambiance and the impressive wine selection. The black glass used during the tasting was a unique and exciting touch. Unfortunately, the food was just okay, and what really marred the experience was the service—or rather, the lack of it. Despite the great setting, we felt neglected throughout our visit. No one checked on our food, and we weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks. We eventually had to get up and find the staff, only to discover them chatting at the bar. It's such a shame because this place has so much potential, but poor service really let it down.

We recently stayed at the Vineyard for a weekend, with some friends joining us on Saturday night for dinner and then also staying the night. The room was lovely and dinner on each evening was great with excellent food and service. There were two issues that slightly detracted from our experience. First was breakfast. We had unintentionally booked a stay that did not include breakfast. That was not really a problem - we were happy to pay - but the set up was unnecessarily complicated. When we arrived for breakfast we got a lengthy explanation about how we could have continental and/or a la carte and that coffee/tea would be extra if we only chose a la carte. To have both would cost around £30 and given that neither of us wanted a huge breakfast I had continental and my husband had a la carte - he chose sausages and mushrooms and asked for eggs which were provided even though not mentioned on the menu. This experience was slightly disappointing but fine. It became a little comical the next morning with six of us, two of whom had breakfast included. The mix of continental and a la carte seemed too much for the poor waitress and the bills all got mixed up. It was also awkward that some could have juice and others couldn’t etc. Overall, I think it would be much better and simpler for guests and staff just to have a single £20 charge for breakfast (which is the extra charged if you book the inclusive rate), allowing you to have the same options as if you’d booked on an inclusive rate. We weren’t clear which menu included toast as we weren’t offered it on either morning even though we heard it being offered to others - we could have asked but decided just to do without. The second issue was the spa. It’s small but is very nice. In order to manage numbers, you had to book in two hour slots. This means you lose any spontaneity and for us meant we had only one option to go to the spa all weekend - which I did and enjoyed. I understand the spa is small but at times it was not very crowded even though we had been told there were no slots available, presumably because people hadn’t turned up. I’m sure we could have got in if we had asked but, because we had been told there were no slots, we planned to do other things. It might be better if they had a first come first served approach with a cap on the overall number of people allowed in at any one time. This could also cause some frustration but might lead to better utilisation.

I stayed here for 2 nights related to the Silverstone Grand Prix. I had a suite room which was beautifully fitted out, fantastic bathroom area and a super comfy bed. The staff are just excellent, all meals and bar service were outstanding. A truly memorable stay.

We booked a Black Friday deal last November for the Tasting Room for four, we went for the summer menu and were certainly not disappointed. We are not strangers to The Vineyard and was lovely to be greeted like old friends on arrival, pre tasting room drinks served to us by Pino and as we found out it was his last day as he was retiring, and we wish him the all the best for that. Then shown to our table which as requested was a circular table for the four of us. All four of us chose all seven courses plus the wine flight to accompany them, and we certainly were not disappointed by either the food or the wine. Thomas our wine waiter and Jiad our food waiter both had great knowledge and added to the evening. Best courses vary but for me was the blind red wine tasting which accompanied the beef main course, a Californian and Chateau Neuf to chose between, and the table voted 3 to 1!!!! and I was the 1, I preferred the Californian. Every course subjected your taste buds to intense pleasure. And to round the evening off, Sir Peter Michael was also eating in the restaurant and came over as he was leaving, introduced himself and asked for feedback on the meal, setting and the hotel itself. A fantastic evening at the Vineyard again and we are looking forward to the Winter Tasting Room menu to see what that looks like.

We stayed for 3 nights (Sunday to Wednesday) our primary purpose was to visit Highclere Castle which is very nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable but dated and in need of a lot of TLC. Not 5 star standard in my opinion. Lots of nice areas to sit in reception and in the bar. Extensive wine list. Any we tried were excellent. Breakfast is basic and limited options. The breakfast manager is excellent and a credit to the hotel. Very accommodating and professional. We had dinner on our first night. We had intended eating here every night but the first night was such a let down we ate out for the next two days. Chairs were very uncomfortable and more suited to being garden chairs. The food was good. Not excellent but good. Staff are clearly new and not trained. We did the wine pairing and our second glass of wine was brought to the table before we had even completed our first. Mains were given immediately after starters. There wasn’t a huge crowd eating so not sure why we were so rushed. Overall it was a pleasant stay. But not 5 star standards. There is a scheduled fire alarm maintenance every Tuesday morning for instance and no advance warning which I think is outrageous. Surely goes against every health and safety precaution not to warn residents. Location was good for Highclere Castle but wouldn’t return.

We had a Spa day,facial and lunch here it was superb,lovely setting,tasty lunch,spotlessly clean,best facial Ive had. Every member of staff was polite helpful smiley,went above snd beyond,seemed like a great place to work Would defo recommend and go back

This wonderful hotel never disappoints……The Vineyard at Stockcross with its wonderful wine history always delivers a warm welcome. The Vineyard has beautifully appointed spacious bedrooms and a relaxing restaurant serving a wonderful creative menu under the direction of chef Tom Scade. This hotel is truly our favourite hotel in Southern England.

Fantastic service and attention to detail from start to finish. The food was superb from dinner through to breakfast. The wines to accompany were brilliant too. Staff are attentive, polite and engaging. Nothing is too much bother. We stayed for one night in a suite with a view of the golf course. Room was big and comfortable and the linens were great and the bed very comfortable. Have read some reviews about the spa area and feel these are unjustified. Lovely pool, jacuzzi (quite small) and steam and sauna all brilliant. Lovely staff and a daily menu should you wish to have a glass of something while sitting poolside.
