Hotel in zona Upper East Side, New York

Stayed in the Junior suite for 7 nights. Very big room with sofa and a small dining table in the living area. A separate kitchen with gas stove, fridge and oven, ideal for cooking with all utensils and some pots provided although we didn't use the kitchen that much. The room is definitely considered big in New York, and bathroom is adequate. There is a commonlaundry room room in the basement, $3 for washing and $2 for dryer. Very useful if staying for a long trip and need washing done without spending a fortune on a typical hotel laundry service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location couldn't be better if you like to stay in the Upper East Side, which doesn't have that many hotels anyway. Within walking distance to Central Park, lots of shops around and places to eat. Merton Williams, a very good supermarket is just on the next street on 3rd Avenue. Few subway stations few minutes walk away, super convenient to go around New York. My only qualm is it charges $39 per night for 'facilities fee' which include $10 daily allowance to get drinks/ snacks from the cupboard. And also for Wifi. I find it strange for hotel to charge for Wifi, and can do without the cupboard drinks/ snacks. Otherwise a good hotel in a good location and room size.

Questo non toglie nulla al servizio che rimane estremamente efficiente, la nostra camera aveva una bellissima vista su central park. Ricordo con particolare simpatia il cameriere di Cremona che ci ha seguiti nelle colazioni in hotel e anche tutto il personale che si succede negli ascensori per farti arrivare con un sorriso fino alla tua destinazione che sia in camera o alla hall. Best location! 5 min to subway 6, easy going downtown and come back uptown. Walking distance to Central Park and MET, surrounded by good coffee, bars, restaurants and shops! Employees are all super warm and nice! Super good room cleaning with all my stuff hanging everywhere and they can still carefully place and clean!!! Wish I can go back and stay here again! Best decision I made for my NYC trip. 😊

My Experience at Loews Regency New York was Beyond my Expectations!! This Hotel is Best in Class with Outstanding Customer Service and in a Great and Safe Location! From the moment you enter the hotel, you will be greeted with a friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and kept immaculate. Every staff member you meet will make your Experience here Extraordinary!! While you’re there make sure you check out the restaurant and of course The Regency Bar for some great food and incredible cocktails!!! When you’re booking your next trip to NYC, I highly recommend this location!

We stayed here based on our travel advisor's high praise and booked with points, so we were not rewarded with the usual upgrade stuff. The bell staff greeting was friendly and the check-in was efficient. Our room was not ready at 4PM and we were offered a drink at the lobby bar, which is hosted by a bartender right out of a Noel Coward play, who entertained us while we waited. The place is packed with folks who appear to be on an expense account and their entourage checking in for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful, and the menu is well thought out. Aesthetic of the public rooms and the guest room is tightly planned, but deco chic, with caramel colored overstuffed mohair seating and gleaming nickel lighting in the reception area. The hotel room had a gorgeous marble bathroom, with deco cabinetry and nickel finishes, and the room was designed to convey whimsy and high style. The one complaint about the check-in was the unmonitored wait - we went back to the front desk after an hour plus at the bar to see if the room was ready. The front desk should have retrieved us when the room was ready instead of leaving us in the bar to fend for ourselves. That said, when we were finally taken to our room, we were moved almost immediately when I showed concern of potential noise from Madison Ave. The room faced an interior courtyard, and was small, but it was serene, which fit the bill. Technology was well planned in the room as was the mini bar and closets. I would guess the hotel gets a great many business guests and would recommend it to my traveling professional friends. Dinner through room service dinner from the kitchen was handed over to the Morton's Salt rep, because the soup was darned near inedible, and I'm a gal that likes my salt. However, brunch in the restaurant for us and friends the following day, albeit expensive, was very tasty (try the avocado toast), so the salt police were in control. I've eaten dinner at the restaurant with friends before, and it's a place to ”see and be seen”, but great.. Breakfast through room service delivered perfectly poached eggs, and the exercise room is adequately equipped. The coffee cups weren't the usual tiny breakfast tea, but real coffee mugs, which I liked. Housekeeping is well managed because the room was spotless, as was the exercise area and public spaces. Management gets the joke here, and there's a ”ricksaw” to Bergdorf's as well as a hotdog cart outside for the welcome pooches. I'd go back to this hotel, given it's competition in the neighborhood, but would opt into an upgraded room with Fine Hotels & Resorts or Virtuoso, and get the perks.

Abbiamo soggiornato per le vacanze di Natale, ed è stata una delle migliori esperienze che ho avuto in un hotel NYC. Sono animali amichevoli. La cortesia e l'attenzione del personale erano eccellenti. Il servizio in camera era sorprendentemente veloce, e il cibo era da Harry Cipriani, quindi era delizioso. Non era un soggiorno economico, ma quale hotel a Fifth Avenue sarebbe?? Dopo essere rimasto in Sherry-Netherland, non credo che nessun altro hotel NYC farà!

Un vecchio classico hotel ha mostrato la sua eccitazione.Il pavimento è troppo basso per me, più forte di quello della sala sportiva della sala spa.Ma poi ho cambiato la grande stanza del dodicesimo piano.La grande stanza della Promemoria non è stata molto inclinata.Non è molto in linea con il vecchio stile. Bar preferito per la carta di soggiorno è buono 👍

If there were a half star, I’d have given the Lowell 4 1/2 stars. Yes, it is a rightly very well rated and a very well appointed hotel. The service is excellent, from the doorman, front desk staff, bellman…all excellent. We never saw a maid but someone cleaned the room very well and was back for turn down service in the evening. The room and more importantly, the bed, was very comfortable. The space is nice. The bathroom has both a large tub and an excellent walk-in shower. There are towels, toiletries, and personal care items galore. Good closet and storage space. Nice little bar area, water in glass bottles every day (good job reducing plastic, Lowell!). What deficiencies then? Well, the old windows are leaky, and we were there for a very cold stretch. We were delighted on day one to have received a nice bottle of red wine and three pears. Beautiful gesture, but the pears were over-ripe and banged up pretty badly. Overall this was a lovely place to stay.

My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for several days. We would like to give five gold stars to Mr. Willie Howard at the front desk for always going beyond the call of duty and providing outstanding customer service for us. Every time we come down to the lobby Willie always greet us with kindness. No matter how busy he is, he always makes time to talk to us. My husband is very ill with stage four Cancer. Willie always knows what to say to motivate him and also encourages him to exercise. Also there are many times he has jokes for us. We always go back to our room laughing. Willie Howard is a major asset to all guests at this hotel. Please tell him we wish him continued success. In addition we will also share our experience with our friends and family.
