Hotel in zona ArToursNY, New York

Me and Harlem go way back. Aloft Harlem used to be my go to hotel before I started staying more on the lower east side. In fact, a Marriott employee who used to work at Aloft directed me to this brand new, just opened hotel. I was excited to return to uptown and stay in this spot! I wanted to love this hotel. I don’t like giving lackluster reviews and feeling like a Karen. But over two nights, the transgressions just piled up. I’m a Marriott ambassador who stays in hotels about 240 nights a year. I never bring up my status. This might be the first time I actually uttered in frustration, “it’s September and I’ve already spent 27,000 dollars at these hotels, why is this so hard?” Upon checkin, it took almost an hour. This is even more frustrating because my first night was business and my company always sends a spending authorization. Two days in a row I checked with the hotel to see if they had received the authorization. They lost the first one. They mismanaged the second one. I always call or chat ahead to ensure a smooth checkin. It was still a mess when I arrived. The room was a “Central Park view.” I should have known better; I don’t know why I believed this title. I know New York geography better than that. I was looking into a building. Central Park facing or in the direction of Central Park shouldn’t be called central park view. I had changed from the city view to the Central Park view before arrival and I guess I’m glad I did because while they were trying to figure out my reservation they mentioned they had oversold the city view rooms. I will say the black out shades do a great job. The bed was fine. Sheets were a little co****. This hotel costs close to what a Moxy costs, so their sheets should be comparably smooth and comfortable. The bathroom was an absolute joke. Maybe not all the rooms are like mine, but mine may as well not have had a door. As you can see in my photos, the door is for “art.” There is a huge gap where you can see everything! Like probably 12 inches or greater of a gap! Who designed this and thought it was a great idea?! Glad I was alone. The air unit is SUPER loud. Doesn’t bother me as much since we usually have a fan on at home, but it was so loud that when it came on, I had to turn the TV up. It will likely bother some people. And you can hear everything through the walls. Oh, and the toilet clogged twice. And one of the days, the hot water was off all day for repairs, though that’s out of anyone’s control. It’s just giving context to a very un-relaxing stay. Back to the front desk mess—I later noted a destination fee on my bill (I had two separate bills because one night was business and one was personal). I don’t mind destination fees—I’ve had them at many Marriott properties. But I was never informed of this one. I even asked at the restaurant, and they had no idea. I finally went to the desk and asked and they explained I should have been given vouchers for each ni

Ho viaggiato con una famiglia di 5 persone. Mi è piaciuto molto il nostro soggiorno. Il personale era molto accogliente e gentile. Avevamo bisogno di alloggi e soddisfano le nostre esigenze senza problemi. Il parcheggio custodito era cortese. Le nostre camere erano pulite, organizzate e molto ben strutturate. Abbiamo adorato il bagno dietro lo specchio. Molto bella. I bambini l'hanno adorato e hanno apprezzato il soggiorno. Hanno una piccola palestra, una bellissima hall per la colazione, una terrazza inferiore con tavoli e una terrazza superiore con una splendida vista. La loro colazione era ok. C'è bisogno di un po' più di lavoro. Toast offerto, bagel, cereali, farina d'avena, waffle, uova, crocchette, frutta, caffè, succo e acqua. Le uova erano acquose e i tater erano freddi e non ben cotti. I bagel tostati con crema di formaggio erano fantastici. Lo valutiamo un 4 su 5 poiché ha bisogno di lavori sulla loro colazione, ma abbiamo apprezzato il nostro soggiorno e visiteremo di nuovo. Grazie!

Non ho mai, mai soggiornato in un posto che ricorda il mio nome. Bella è una delle persone più calde che conosco. E' la faccia di questo hotel. Sono stato anche accolto da molti membri della squadra che mi chiedono come mi sia andato. Tutti si preoccupavano davvero e aspettavano la mia risposta, pronti a risolvere qualcosa o a parlare leggermente di me, trasferindo mio Figlio a New York. La zona sembra schizzina, ma tutti si mantengono a se stessi. La stanza era molto pulita e fresca. I letti potevano usare letti più caldi.Abbiamo trovato parcheggio stradale per la nostra auto. Non hai davvero bisogno di una macchina qui!

I booked at Nap York Central park in June 2022 for September/October 2022. I chose the discounted flexible rate, as I didn’t see having to cancel or move my dates at all - my flight was paid for. Earlier this month my father suffered a stroke, was diagnosed with cancer, and was told he was in need of an operation on his heart. His quality of living went from active and healthy to in need of 24/7 care overnight. I contacted this property to see if even though the flexible option was non-refundable if there might be some leniency with this as I don’t see being able to travel in the near future, even at a partial refund (mostly for the $500 I already paid to be used for medical bills/needs). You cannot actually call or speak to anyone - they do not have phones. You can only communicate through a chat service. They don’t provide any details as to who you are talking to and my questions as to whether there is a management company I might reach out to were unanswered, and then I was just told ‘we don’t have phones’. After explaining my situation, they let me know they would not refund anything but would move the dates. According to my original booking, I would have six months to reschedule. Speaking to someone through the chat service, I was only given four months to reschedule and many dates blocked out and unavailable to me due to holidays. I pointed out that it was less time than my original booking stated and that went unaddressed, the person let me know that ‘my situation’ (my father possibly terminally ill) ‘was not their responsibility’ and they wouldn’t refund my payment or add any dates (which really would have just been giving me what I should have anyway, not exactly doing me any extra favors) and again - all questions as to whether there is an actual number or company to contact with questions was not provided. While I understand my original request for a refund was outside of the original terms, they don’t even offer the terms that are paid for and clearly stated. I’ve also worked at hotels and lodges in the past to know that they often make allowances for nonrefundable stays in cases of extreme circumstances. Booking.com reached out to try to negotiate and the only response they received was ‘no refund’. I’ve also had travel plans in the past change slightly and have been out money and have not asked for special accommodations or refunds from locations, but with the stress of my father’s health and rising costs, and so suddenly, I was looking for some empathy here. United Airlines is notorious for delayed customer service or non-negotiable refunds and I was able to explain my situation and received a full refund immediately. After some of the language used by whoever manages their chat service, I wouldn’t stay at this location at this point. I've attached some of the reviews on google, as well as management's insane responses (including taunting people about calling the police, or pointing out they don't speak English).

Si può dire che questo piccolo hotel, oltre ad avere ascensori, dovrebbe avere tutti, la stanza ha anche un armadio, l'aria condizionata non è finalmente una finestra, molto tranquilla, il letto è anche molto comodo. Anche se la stanza è piccola, ma ci sono anche secchi e frigo. La cosa più importante è la posizione geografica molto buona, Camminare alla Times Square è meno di cinque minuti!Il personale della ricezione manderà anche il bagaglio nella stanza. Se non ci sono figli degli anziani, è molto consigliabile!

Ubicazione fantastica, nulla da dire, e lo stesso dicasi per la particolarità della camera con vista (avevamo la Sky queen). Servizio e accoglienza piuttosto inefficienti, non so dire se solo rispetto agli standard italiani o se sia un’anomalia anche per gli USA. Alcuni esempi: assenza ciabattine in camera e impossibilità di averne, adattatore presa corrente solo in vendita a 10 dollari (non possibile noleggiarlo o prenderlo in prestito), rifacimento camera solo su richiesta (per eco-sostenibilità, ci sta), ma quando l’abbiamo chiesto si sono dimenticati e abbiamo dovuto tirare il giorno dopo con elemosinando del doccia schiuma. Lo staff è cortese, ma le loro procedure li rendono poco efficienti. Consigliato per vista e posizione, ma consci che il servizio non sarà quello che ci si aspetterebbe dalla, considerevole, cifra pagata.

L'ambiente interno è molto buono, l'hotel è nuovissimo, la colazione è inclusa, il pranzo e la cena possono essere ordinati dal menu, l'atteggiamento del servizio è buono, ma la posizione non è molto comoda, solo Uber, autobus e stazioni della metropolitana possono 't andare in giro, vicino al viadotto

Estremamente povero. Dalla preautorizzazione risultava che il pagamento era già stato effettuato ma diceva che non era stata strisciata e ho cambiato tre carte. Non c'era niente nella stanza tranne alcune bottiglie di shampoo e articoli da toeletta, nemmeno una descrizione della stanza. L'asciugacapelli era rotto. L'insonorizzazione della stanza era pessima e la moquette era sporca. La colazione non era niente di buono. La cosa più strana è che il rasoio, il sapone e una bottiglia piena di detergente viso HR che avevo portato mi sono stati portati via dal cameriere, e nessuno si è fatto carico delle successive perquisizioni, spingendoli di qua e di là. Non ho mai visto un hotel a stelle così brutto! ! !

Per non parlare della posizione, il Tongniu è accanto, a pochi minuti a piedi dal Molo della Statua della Libertà e dal Museo Indiano, e anche la metropolitana è molto comoda. Tuttavia, devo lamentarmi di questo ascensore al 44esimo piano. ci sono stanze densamente popolate e due ascensori. E quando ho chiesto dell'acqua il giorno successivo, hanno detto che l'avrebbero data solo per il primo soggiorno, e non c'era acqua minerale il secondo giorno. Tuttavia, quando mio figlio è andato a prenderla il terzo giorno, gli è stata data tre bottiglie Lo standard di servizio non era uniforme.

L'hotel è sempre occupato a tutte le ore a causa del numero di voli che vanno e vengono da Newark. Ciò significa che l'albergo è un po' stanco. Tuttavia, non mi importava nulla di tutto ciò e non credo che tolga una buona esperienza nel complesso. L'unico lato negativo è che la posizione è un po' confusa se si guida.
