Hotel in zona South Yarra Community Baptist Church, Melbourne

Staycation for family in a one bedroom twin double which was perfectly spacious for 2 Adults & 2 under 7. Close to everything in the CBD likes the theatres, Chinatown, cafes and tram stops. Nice Juliet window to look out over the streets below. Only issue was Tv Connection for the kids (especially at 6am when they wake) tvs were not working.

Camere pulite, personale amichevole e posizione perfetta. Facile accesso ai punti di trasporto pubblico e di pasto. Grande valore per i soldi. Buona opzione di bilancio per una breve visita. Mi piacerebbe tornare.

La posizione è buona se dovete andare al centro della Convenzione, perché è solo a circa 6 o 7 minuti a piedi di superficie. La giovane donna del Michigan al concierge è stata SUPER utile e amichevole. E il controllo del personale è stato gentile, conoscente e amichevole. La stanza era una grande, il letto re era comodo, un sacco di piastrelle e un giardino in basso facevano piacere entrare nel letto. La casa ha fatto un grande lavoro con la tostatura, la sostituzione di asciugamani e sempre assicurato che avessimo acqua, crema e caffè/espresso. C'era un asciugacapelli, un frigo e una doccia con una testa di doccia tipo pioggia. Il desk front has adapters available if you didn't bring one. Overall it was a good stay Not many stores (grocery or convenience) in the area but it was super easy to get an Uber.

Good service, great location within CBD, close to Southern Cross and Flinders stations, within free tram zone too. The bed was comfie enough, room small, dated and needed a lick of paint and fridge really noisy. Even at 5 storeys up you can hear traffic, especially sirens. BUT, I wouldn't let that put you off, IF you simply need an affordable base to go explore etc.

Great hotel close to city center near Coles and Southern Cross station, very convenient. There is a swimming pool, sauna room, steam room, arcade, and gym for all guests to use for free. Rooms are clean and spacious, but the heating can be improved. Amenities are provided in the bathroom.

The staff were not following COVID protocols. None wore masks. Day manager actually spoke to us with mask on chin and AROUND the safety barrier. One pen used for everything by everyone. Night manager & staff as well as other guests were all maskless. We were not asked to show proof of our vaccination status. Inspired ZERO confidence that they were actually sanitising anything. My partner also felt unsafe as there were a lot of people loitering around the building. The room was clean and tidy. Located excellently for the event we were attending. Hot water worked, loved the choice of flooring. That was all. The room offered only one single bar of soap. No shower gel, shampoo or any extra toiletries as is expected from even the most basic accomodation you can stay in anywhere else. I have stayed in youth hostels in the outback and even they offered more than a tiny bar of soap. There was no indications of any extra services offered or being available. There were no extra pillows or blankets available in the room. One very flat pillow per person and a thin doona only. The pillows were so low that I could not sleep on it and when I asked for another pillow from the night manager I was met with rudeness. He finally gave me an old, dirty pillow with no pillow case (see photos). When I asked for a pillow case he acted like I was being ridiculous. We slept badly as the bed was very hard. Actually went home and slept as we were so tired from the uncomfortable bed. Upon checkout we got stuck in the lift as the door to the G floor would not open. We finally called for help using the phone but even though the front desk manager answered and said he would be with us immediately he was not. We finally left by going back to our floor and using the fire escape to exit via the basement parking. He then told us he couldn’t hear what we were saying on the phone so basically ignored us, and then gave some rubbish excuse about the one elevator being an old one that was not for guests. Basically if we had not exited the way we did we would have been stuck in the elevator for hours being ignored. There was no signage indicating anywhere that one of the two lifts was not for guests, and if the lift was not for guests you would think it would be clearly marked so.

Stato qui il 3 e 4 giugno.. Nuovo hotel, così come previsto, pulito e ben mantenuto.. La camera era molto piccola, ma il letto era molto comodo ( due re singola si sono spinti insieme),la camera era una grande dimensione con una doccia grande, che aveva una mano con la testa, così come la testa piovana.Nessuna guardia,ma aveva una ferrovia con circa 6 vestiti.. Connie, che era al di fuori del dipartimento, era sorprendente, molto utile e niente era molto problematico.Molto facile.e senza saldatura check-in.. L'hotel era grande, una pietra gettata al Vic Market, e ristoranti. In futuro saremo di nuovo, e consigliamo questo hotel ... 2 pollice in alto ...👍👍

My wife and I operate a small coach tour company, and have done so for the last 28 years. We offer residents of Sydney, the Central Coast, the Southern Highlands, Canberra and Queanbeyan, the opportunity to travel on a variety of tours, ranging from four days to ten days in length, to different areas in Eastern Australia. Last week, a group of our passengers from these areas travelled on a seven-day tour to Victoria. During the tour, our passengers stayed for four nights at the Novotel Melbourne Preston. We certainly have no complaints or regrets about using this Hotel for our group’s stay! When I first contacted the Hotel in September 2023, about the possibility of using it for my tour group’s accommodation for this tour, my enquiry was treated with genuine enthusiasm. I was put through to the Sales Manager, Ms Michele Kerrigan. Michele was amazing to deal with. After a steady stream of telephone conversations and emails during the next few days, the accommodation was booked, and the menus for all the dinners during this stay were locked in. At some hotels we’ve used over the years, this process can take weeks, and it can be quite a frustrating experience. At this Hotel, it was the exact opposite. So, a huge ‘thank you’ to Michele, for making this all so easy for us as tour organisers! After all the arrangements we finalised, and the booking was locked in, Michele passed on our booking to the Sales Coordinator, Annalise Dimase. Once again, Annalise was an absolute delight to work with! Between the finalisation of the booking, and the date of the group’s arrival, we spoke many, many times on the phone, and exchanged many, many emails. In all my dealings with Annalise, she was professional, personable, helpful, patient, and attentive. On a few occasions, when Annalise was unavailable, I was transferred to Nada, another member of the Sales Team. Again, Nada was wonderful to work with. When our tour group arrived at the hotel, Michele, Nada, and Annalise were all there to greet the passengers. They were very impressed by the warm and friendly welcome offered to them by this team! Once inside the Hotel, this level of service was experienced in all sections. The reception staff, the housekeeping staff, the restaurant staff, the chef and kitchen staff were all friendly, welcoming, obliging, and helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to any tour groups requiring accommodation in Melbourne. Judging by our experience, it would be difficult to surpass the level of attentiveness and friendliness offered by the management team and staff, the quality of service, the degree of comfort, and the attention to detail our group received during their stay. Assassinante, un hotel recentemente rinnovato, a circa 30 minuti al di fuori del CBD di Melbourne. Hotel pulito, ben prezzi con camere climatizzate molto comode. Inoltre, includeva una bevanda benvenuta, una sorpresa inaspettata. L'hotel è a soli 150 metri dalla stazione ferroviaria. L'hotel dispone di un ottimo bistro per pranzo e cena. Le strutture in bagno condivise sono anche super pulite e ben mantenute.

We arrived out of hours and were expecting trouble however it was a simple phone call and we got our key. We got a great deal on our accommodation, which had more than enough for our needs. The facilities (pool etc) were great and everything in our room worked perfectly. the air con was cold and quiet, the TV was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I noticed was the walls (toilet) and curtains (main entrance) are a little dirty (probably due to being a specific room for lots of children?) however this is just fussy. I will most definitely stay at Discovery Park again without any hesitation. From check in to check out it was easy, quiet and stress free exactly what I needed
