Close to London Eye and Big Ben, friendly staff, very cozy, clean and tidy

The room was not clean even water was outside room one of guest requested to clean but no one did

Staff is good, but there are few amenities and no laundry room.

Good location, large room, but noisy before 12:00PM

Mediocre at best, only real good qualities was the location and bar underneath. Rooms were small, had no AC so you had to have windows open and it’s always loud in the area so if you’re a light sleeper would not recommend. Beds were small and not the most comfortable. Limited number of bathrooms which are all small.

I've stayed at London Bridge St. Christopher's a handful of times, the most recent in April 2024, and I have no doubt I'll visit again before the year is out. For the price you pay, you get what you'd expect. I stayed 3 nights in a 'capsule' room, which is a small pod with a curtain for privacy. You still share a bathroom, but there are plenty of available showers and toilets all cleaned regularly, so it never seemed like a rush. The capsule was spacious (I kept all my belongings in there too), and had nice mood lighting. Perhaps my only complaint is that at night it would get absolutely baking hot! Staff are always friendly and welcoming. For a cheap price, this is a superb spot in central London for travellers who aren't picky.

Have woken up to a broken toilet. The room absolutely reeks as it has NO ventilation. No AC, no ceiling fans. Just 1 pedestal fan that’s facing one or two people in the corner. Granted when I arrived yesterday it was 30 degrees but it’s now 17 & it’s just as muggy and hot in here. The showers are so small I could barely fit inside. But the beds and pillows are fairly comfortable, so that’s about the only thing that this place has had going for it. Am going to be booking elsewhere for the rest of my stay to avoid the heat and stench of this room.

Bed bugs are inevitable at some point, my review is not based on the fact it happened, it’s how they dealt with it. Lying to my face about the bed bugs is unacceptable. I was told by a guest that we were being moved because of a maintenance issue, and should talk to reception. I went to reception who informed me the air con was broken and maintenance was needing everyone out, and by the way, “we’re fully booked”. My Australian tolerance to the heat accepted it, albeit confusingly as 2+ days for maintenance? Upon googling alternative hostels, St. Christopher’s still had beds available despite being told it was fully booked, so I asked reception if I could book on the website, and was told “that’s just an error, we’re fully booked”. Second time they lied to my face. I arrive back in my room for another guest who told me about the bed bugs, furious, I packed my bags and checked under my bed, and sure enough… yeah, don’t know how the cleaners missed that one and didn’t inform anyone. Then I attended reception to inform of my early check out, and still did not acknowledge the issue of bed bugs and still claimed it was a maintenance issue. Totally irresponsible staff and totally unacceptable behaviour.

Excellent service: Only visited the pub - not the hostel. It was Sat evening when England played Switzerland. Security on the door - the most polite and helpful I’ve come across in years. Told us about how full it was; top tips of where to stand and uber polite Bar staff were super busy - at the bar and doing table service but again very attentive and very polite. Can’t fault this young staff. Was disappointed to see that someone came to settle their very large bill £150+ (when I was at the bar) and declined to leave a tip - after all their table service. Really bad form - these guys deserved a BIG TIP. Thank you- we had a top evening

Encountered this pub last week with my partner, we were served by a girl I cannot remember her name it rhymes with chai . She was so attentive and kind. Proper chill vibes despite being in a very densely populated area of London . 5/5 stars thanks for the service

Frankly having such strong members of staff who can provide such a level of customer proficiency is rare to stumble upon. The wifi was inaccessible and i wasn’t able to do much bar sleep and rest for the time of my stay so my planning of after was fairly difficult to do on the spot and then to later return to no wifi has impacted my decision on staying at the inn both now and in the future. Beds are nice, layout is pretty widely hostel styled but still as always i hate the common theme amongst hospitlity venues of paying for towels and soap and other items that usually you wouldn’t consider the not having of and are fairly commonly forgot or difficult yet calming to obtain items especially when seeking a familiar, well known so safe, cheap but simple structured place to stay. The reception team members dealt with each check in quickly and tried to keep me in the same bed as hoped but when unable to do so provided me with an alternative so naturally that it seemed like not much had changed bar being closer to the window for sunlight entry at check out hours (i have no alarm clock so this was actually very subconsciously settling upon reflecting. my first proper stay in a hostel room instead of anxiously waiting in the hall way for the one night of booking id previously had elsewhere was strangely my first stay now i think about it and helped reinforced the unseen previously blurred line of being helpful vs the overstepping of being against their work responsibilities and work codes i.e. receiving a drink voucher when checking in for a booking but not chasing to ask nor of my ask but simply just like the room key. Bar staff were polite and managed to help me feel almost familiar in my being there.
