Hotel vicino a Museo della Citta' e del Mare di Wellington, Wellington

I stayed at Boulcott Suites for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent — plenty of eateries nearby (many Asian options), a New World supermarket just around the corner, and Cuba Street all within walking distance. For those driving, private parking is available at NZD 29 per night, though it does need to be booked in advance by calling ahead. The room itself was well-equipped, with nearly everything listed on their website provided. Amenities included tea, coffee, hot chocolate, an infusion tea selection, a coffee machine, kettle, washing machine, clothing rack, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hair dryer. There’s also a convenient kitchenette with a stove and full set of utilities if you’d like to prepare meals. Do note that some basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, and bottled water aren’t supplied. I just drank the tap water, which seemed perfectly fine. On the downside, I felt the room was a little dusty, which took away slightly from the otherwise good presentation. I had also requested a baby cot during booking and was told it would be included, but it never arrived in the room. It wasn’t a big issue for me personally since the bed was large enough to co-sleep with my baby, but it’s worth mentioning for others who might rely on that service. All in all, Boulcott Suites is a convenient and comfortable choice in the heart of Wellington, with great amenities and an ideal location. With a little more attention to detail on housekeeping and guest requests, it would be close to perfect.

This was our third stay at the Copthorne and have always enjoyed it.  Very comfortable and friendly front of house staff. The big let down is mould and dirt on the floor around the outside of the shower wall.

Abbiamo soggiornato al Ramada Wellington e abbiamo apprezzato la cortesia e la disponibilità del personale durante tutto il nostro soggiorno. La camera era confortevole e il servizio di pulizia viene effettuato ogni tre giorni, con asciugamani disponibili su richiesta se necessari prima. Ci sono stati alcuni inconvenienti: gli utensili avrebbero potuto essere più puliti e l'aria condizionata/pompa di calore non funzionava quando abbiamo fatto il check-in di domenica. Ci sono voluti un paio di giorni per risolvere il problema, ma nel frattempo il personale ci ha fornito un ventilatore e una stufa portatile. Nel complesso, un posto decente per soggiorni brevi, con una posizione centrale e una calorosa ospitalità.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.  No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.  $45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean. Felt safe as a woman traveling alone staying here. Would stay again.

Tutto sommato, alloggi e servizi sono buoni e si può prendere un autobus per girare il centro città e Lambton Quay. Tutto perfetto! Tornerò sicuramente. Saluti.

I stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom. The hotel has an old style elevator which is cool. The room comes w a heater and a face basin with a mirror which is too high unless you are 1.9m to 2m tall. Lol. A fridge, a kettle , coffee, tea , cocoa powder and milk for coffee are provided. It also provide a bath soap and towel. The hotel entrance are locked after 5pm or 6pm for the safety of the hotel guests as there are no receptionist after 22:00hours. Cons :- The shower area light auto switched off 3-5mins thus it’s scary when u are still showering , the whole place turned dark. Both the shower cubicle and the common area in the shower area are scary when they are in total darkness. This is negative as not the right way to save electricity I guess and risk falls as well. U can parked your luggage after you checkout for free as well. Lastly the hotel is 20min walk from the Railway station or NZD11 on Uber. And walking distance to the Pier for some high end dining as well as nice eateries within the city centre.

Quite the experience.  I was hoping for ‘cheap and cheerful’ fairly close to town. That was the case for the room and the breakfast options surpassed my expectations.  We slept well and were happy to have somewhere to stay that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.  After checking out we had a riotous time over a drink, reading through past reviews as we are clearly not alone in noticing the ‘Fawlty Towers-esque’ demeanour of the owner/manager.  He likes to complain about guests and after a couple of chats with him we were bemused to o notice that we had inadvertently behaved incorrectly and were the subjects of gossip with new guests - while we were still in the room!  I might have grey hair but my hearing is still intact.  My impression is that he’s harmless enough, just lacking in some social etiquette.  If you remember Basil Fawlty and take it with a grain of salt, you’ll be fine.

L'Aura Hotel è situato vicino alla vivace strada Cuba e al Courtenay. Tuttavia, la prima stanza che mi era stata assegnata nel Block N aveva un forte odore di soffocamento e finestre mancanti. Ho chiamato il desk front per chiedere un cambio di stanza, perché non riuscivo a trovare alcuna finestra in quella stanza o nella zona di cena, solo per essere informato che tutti i blocchi dell'hotel erano senza finestre. Quando sono tornato al desk front, ho notato un blocco con finestre aperte. Il personale del desk front non era felice con me per controllare altri blocchi e anche arrabbiato quando gli ho informato che ho colpito 5 camere vuote vicine nel blocco, senza alcuna risposta, per chiedere se anche loro si sentono l’odore. Il personale ha sostenuto che il blocco che ho visto era l’unico con finestre e era completamente prenotato. Tornai nella mia stanza iniziale, ma l’odore persisteva, mi spingeva a restituire le chiavi e chiedeva un rimborso; dopo quasi un’ora, abbiamo ricontrollato la stanza con il ricevitore, e, sorpreso, l’odore era scomparso. Nonostante questo strano incontro, ho ancora scelto di cambiare la stanza, mi è stato dato un'altra stanza nel blocco J, che, pur mancante le finestre, aveva un odore migliore. Quando ho esplorato il pavimento dopo avermi sistemato, ho scoperto altri blocchi con le finestre. Questa esperienza ha riflettuto un servizio molto scarso e informazioni disonestate che sono state sbagliate dal desktop front.
