Hotel vicino a Monte Victoria, Wellington

I stayed at Boulcott Suites for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent — plenty of eateries nearby (many Asian options), a New World supermarket just around the corner, and Cuba Street all within walking distance. For those driving, private parking is available at NZD 29 per night, though it does need to be booked in advance by calling ahead. The room itself was well-equipped, with nearly everything listed on their website provided. Amenities included tea, coffee, hot chocolate, an infusion tea selection, a coffee machine, kettle, washing machine, clothing rack, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hair dryer. There’s also a convenient kitchenette with a stove and full set of utilities if you’d like to prepare meals. Do note that some basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, and bottled water aren’t supplied. I just drank the tap water, which seemed perfectly fine. On the downside, I felt the room was a little dusty, which took away slightly from the otherwise good presentation. I had also requested a baby cot during booking and was told it would be included, but it never arrived in the room. It wasn’t a big issue for me personally since the bed was large enough to co-sleep with my baby, but it’s worth mentioning for others who might rely on that service. All in all, Boulcott Suites is a convenient and comfortable choice in the heart of Wellington, with great amenities and an ideal location. With a little more attention to detail on housekeeping and guest requests, it would be close to perfect.

Rimasi una notte al James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor per una conferenza tenuta sul sito. Il personale di check-in è stato amichevole ed efficiente. L'hotel dispone di tre banche di ascensore separate che servono aree diverse se siete inconsapevoli di Wellington, sicuramente chiedere al personale di spiegare la via di uscita più facile alla città. Il pranzo era un buffet molto grande con molte opzioni, anche se ho vissuto una migliore qualità altrove. L'hotel stesso è più vecchio ma ha ossi solidi. Perfettamente adatto per un lavoro per un soggiorno di notte. Per i viaggi personali, probabilmente avrei scelto un posto più atmosferico, ma si sentiva sicuro e confortevole. Una caratteristica strana: alcune camere si trovano in una terrazza interna/apertura ricordate di chiudere le vostre tende, perché la gente può vedere direttamente. Il letto era pulito e ben fatto, la stanza era tesa, anche se il telaio mostra la sua età. La doccia aveva una pressione eccellente e un sacco di acqua calda, un'evidenza. In generale: alloggio a conferenza affidabile, pratico, piuttosto che un soggiorno di destinazione.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.  No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.  $45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean. Felt safe as a woman traveling alone staying here. Would stay again.

La struttura è in una buona posizione abbastanza centrale. Il servizio è stato ottimo e il personale molto disponibile. La camera molto ampia,ma le strutture avrebbero bisogno di più manutenzione.

Ho esteso il mio soggiorno nella camera 326 e i 6 piatti per pareti elettriche nella stanza non funzionavano dal 26 dicembre fino a quando non sono andato a controllare il 28 dicembre. Il personale del desk front worked it out of the main switchboard at the evening of the 26th, but it was out again at the early morning of the 27th. Room lights were well working accept for the power outlets. Unreliable service. Ho dovuto giacere alla porta principale per usare i piastrelle elettriche del corridoio.

Personale molto gentile, camere pulite e belle, buona posizione in centro

Quite the experience.  I was hoping for ‘cheap and cheerful’ fairly close to town. That was the case for the room and the breakfast options surpassed my expectations.  We slept well and were happy to have somewhere to stay that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.  After checking out we had a riotous time over a drink, reading through past reviews as we are clearly not alone in noticing the ‘Fawlty Towers-esque’ demeanour of the owner/manager.  He likes to complain about guests and after a couple of chats with him we were bemused to o notice that we had inadvertently behaved incorrectly and were the subjects of gossip with new guests - while we were still in the room!  I might have grey hair but my hearing is still intact.  My impression is that he’s harmless enough, just lacking in some social etiquette.  If you remember Basil Fawlty and take it with a grain of salt, you’ll be fine.

L'Aura Hotel è situato vicino alla vivace strada Cuba e al Courtenay. Tuttavia, la prima stanza che mi era stata assegnata nel Block N aveva un forte odore di soffocamento e finestre mancanti. Ho chiamato il desk front per chiedere un cambio di stanza, perché non riuscivo a trovare alcuna finestra in quella stanza o nella zona di cena, solo per essere informato che tutti i blocchi dell'hotel erano senza finestre. Quando sono tornato al desk front, ho notato un blocco con finestre aperte. Il personale del desk front non era felice con me per controllare altri blocchi e anche arrabbiato quando gli ho informato che ho colpito 5 camere vuote vicine nel blocco, senza alcuna risposta, per chiedere se anche loro si sentono l’odore. Il personale ha sostenuto che il blocco che ho visto era l’unico con finestre e era completamente prenotato. Tornai nella mia stanza iniziale, ma l’odore persisteva, mi spingeva a restituire le chiavi e chiedeva un rimborso; dopo quasi un’ora, abbiamo ricontrollato la stanza con il ricevitore, e, sorpreso, l’odore era scomparso. Nonostante questo strano incontro, ho ancora scelto di cambiare la stanza, mi è stato dato un'altra stanza nel blocco J, che, pur mancante le finestre, aveva un odore migliore. Quando ho esplorato il pavimento dopo avermi sistemato, ho scoperto altri blocchi con le finestre. Questa esperienza ha riflettuto un servizio molto scarso e informazioni disonestate che sono state sbagliate dal desktop front. Le prime sei immagini caricate sono di Block N, mentre le immagini successive, cominciando con le chiavi, mostrano Block J.
