Hotel vicino a Spiaggia Oriental Bay Beach, Wellington

The room had multiple areas of built up dust that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the shower had some mould in the corner and lots of soap scum around the bottles. The silicone holes in the shower head were all cracked and so the water dribbled down. I could also smell the drain. The additional windows installed (appreciate the building is historical) didn’t shut tight, which is a big problem in a windy city. The wind was howling through the window gaps when they were fully shut. Assume they were done as cheaply as possible. I was also a few doors down from the staff room, so I heard very frequent door slamming in the mornings which woke me up as it shook my door frame. There’s no way I’d be paying for full price for this hotel, but for a 50% off deal it was fine. The location is unbeatable and the bed was really comfortable. The room was a good size too.

I stayed at Boulcott Suites for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent — plenty of eateries nearby (many Asian options), a New World supermarket just around the corner, and Cuba Street all within walking distance. For those driving, private parking is available at NZD 29 per night, though it does need to be booked in advance by calling ahead. The room itself was well-equipped, with nearly everything listed on their website provided. Amenities included tea, coffee, hot chocolate, an infusion tea selection, a coffee machine, kettle, washing machine, clothing rack, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hair dryer. There’s also a convenient kitchenette with a stove and full set of utilities if you’d like to prepare meals. Do note that some basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, and bottled water aren’t supplied. I just drank the tap water, which seemed perfectly fine. On the downside, I felt the room was a little dusty, which took away slightly from the otherwise good presentation. I had also requested a baby cot during booking and was told it would be included, but it never arrived in the room. It wasn’t a big issue for me personally since the bed was large enough to co-sleep with my baby, but it’s worth mentioning for others who might rely on that service. All in all, Boulcott Suites is a convenient and comfortable choice in the heart of Wellington, with great amenities and an ideal location. With a little more attention to detail on housekeeping and guest requests, it would be close to perfect.

Good sized room with comfortable bed and good shower. However, walls were paper thin and you could hear the conversation in the next room word for word. I'd expect better from a quality hotel. Great service from front desk staff. Checkout in the morning was frustratingly slow, with a queue of six or so people and only one person on the front desk.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.  No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.  $45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

Personale molto gentile, camere pulite e belle, buona posizione in centro

La struttura è in una buona posizione abbastanza centrale. Il servizio è stato ottimo e il personale molto disponibile. La camera molto ampia,ma le strutture avrebbero bisogno di più manutenzione.

I stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom. The hotel has an old style elevator which is cool. The room comes w a heater and a face basin with a mirror which is too high unless you are 1.9m to 2m tall. Lol. A fridge, a kettle , coffee, tea , cocoa powder and milk for coffee are provided. It also provide a bath soap and towel. The hotel entrance are locked after 5pm or 6pm for the safety of the hotel guests as there are no receptionist after 22:00hours. Cons :- The shower area light auto switched off 3-5mins thus it’s scary when u are still showering , the whole place turned dark. Both the shower cubicle and the common area in the shower area are scary when they are in total darkness. This is negative as not the right way to save electricity I guess and risk falls as well. U can parked your luggage after you checkout for free as well. Lastly the hotel is 20min walk from the Railway station or NZD11 on Uber. And walking distance to the Pier for some high end dining as well as nice eateries within the city centre.

Quite the experience.  I was hoping for ‘cheap and cheerful’ fairly close to town. That was the case for the room and the breakfast options surpassed my expectations.  We slept well and were happy to have somewhere to stay that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.  After checking out we had a riotous time over a drink, reading through past reviews as we are clearly not alone in noticing the ‘Fawlty Towers-esque’ demeanour of the owner/manager.  He likes to complain about guests and after a couple of chats with him we were bemused to o notice that we had inadvertently behaved incorrectly and were the subjects of gossip with new guests - while we were still in the room!  I might have grey hair but my hearing is still intact.  My impression is that he’s harmless enough, just lacking in some social etiquette.  If you remember Basil Fawlty and take it with a grain of salt, you’ll be fine.

La posizione dell'hotel è buona, nel centro di Shenlington, il parcheggio è al piano superiore, dove andare su un pendio, e il costo del parcheggio è 15 denominazioni al giorno.La decorazione interna è un po'antica e antiquata, ha un senso di storia. La carenza è che la notte di notte è arrivata all'hotel. La ricetta è stata chiusa (dovrebbe essere alle sette), dicendo che mi ha mandato un'e-mail, non l'ha trovata.Oppure il ragazzo di pulizia, aiutami a contattare, aprire il serbatoio prima di ottenere il mento.

Un po'di lago per arrivare alla stanza. Il ferro della doccia è distacco dalla parete sul tappeto inferiore. La camera di bagno inonda essenzialmente quando si ha una doccia al punto in cui l'acqua ha iniziato a correre in camera da letto. Non c'è manipolazione alla porta di slitta della porta del bagno e viene facilmente fuori dalla pista. La situazione delle tazze e delle strutture nella stanza è molto sporca, non ho usato nessuna tazza, perché ho trovato che aveva un strato di grasso all'interno delle tazze. In generale, non così piacevole come avevo sperato. Ma la posizione era fantastica, proprio nel centro della città.
