Hotel vicino a Tempio Chom Phet, Luang Prabang

This was my first time staying at this hotel (chosen because it is top-rated), but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience for me as a business traveller. Apart from the central location, the stay did not meet my expectations. I booked a double-bed room and requested the second floor with a temple view. The staff informed me that the second floor was fully booked, and even the double-bed rooms were unavailable, so they gave me a twin room (no. 3) and pushed the beds together. The only good part was that the room still had a partial temple view from the window. The room itself was beautifully decorated, but there were no basic amenities such as slippers, toothbrush, razor, or comb unless requested at reception. I returned to the hotel close to midnight after a long day, only to find the reception closed, no staff available, and no information on how to contact anyone. There was also no in-room phone. I had to walk barefoot on the cold hard floor, could not brush my teeth, and could not request an iron to prepare for my meeting the next morning. In the morning, staff were still not present at 6:00 AM when I needed toiletries. When they finally arrived, I overheard the housekeeper saying they had run out of stock and that I should “go buy it outside,” which made me feel quite unwelcome as a guest paying a high room rate. The receptionist then repeated the same message without offering any guidance on where to buy items. Additionally, while the hotel claims to reduce single-use amenities for environmental reasons, they still provide drinking water in plastic bottles instead of glass — something that should be improved. I would like to compliment the staff member on duty on the morning of the 12th Nov 2025 at around 6:00 AM. I wanted to prepare food for almsgiving, and he kindly gave me helpful advice. He even went to ask a nearby vendor to bring the items I needed so that I could receive the service conveniently. I truly appreciate his assistance and excellent service. Overall, the lack of essential amenities, poor service availability, and unprofessional attitude made my stay uncomfortable. This will be my first and last stay at this hotel.

La struttura è bella e in posizione perfetta. Le biciclette sono sempre a disposizione e si gira per la città con molta facilità. La colazione è molto curata, abbondante e con prodotti davvero buoni. Camera spaziosa e pulita. A mio avviso quello che fa davvero la differenza è la disponibilità del personale, sono tutti gentilissimi e si impegnano per fare stare bene l’ospite. Lo consiglierei e spero di tornarci.

Very well sized room, fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, lighting could be improved, room still a little dark. Some switches has seen better days, switching on / off lights can be confusing, need to try a couple of times to get the right one. Service is good overall, checkout was not as smooth as expected, took a while and printer was not working, couldnt get my invoice printed.

We initially booked one week but decided to extend our stay for another week, which already says a lot about our overall experience. While there are certainly some areas that could be improved, we felt comfortable enough to stay longer and would consider returning in the future. The room was generally clean and offered good value for the price. We especially enjoyed having a terrace and a bathtub, which made our stay more relaxing (also for our cat). However, some attention to detail in housekeeping and maintenance would make a noticeable difference. For example, spider webs, dust around ventilation areas, and air-conditioning units should be cleaned more regularly. In our room (#13), the air-conditioner was heavily clogged with dust when we arrived, to the point where the cooling performance was noticeably reduced. We politely mentioned this to the staff, and to their credit, the issue was addressed immediately. We were very grateful for their quick response. Since then, the unit has worked much better. There is still a slight musty smell, so a professional deep cleaning of the air-conditioning systems once or twice a year would likely improve both air quality and guest comfort. One thing we appreciated throughout our stay was the willingness of the staff to help whenever a problem was brought to their attention. Requests were handled quickly and professionally, which is one of the reasons we decided to extend our booking. As digital nomads, reliable internet and a functional workspace are very important to us. The internet connection was stable and fast enough for our daily work, often reaching download speeds of around 8–12 MB/s. We also received a chair and an extension cable upon request, allowing us to comfortably use the large dresser as a workspace for our laptops. This was greatly appreciated! The location is another strong point. Two large supermarkets are within a short walking distance, making it easy to buy groceries and daily necessities. The Night Market is also easily reachable on foot, and the main road is just around the corner, where electric scooters can usually be found for exploring Luang Prabang. If we could suggest one improvement, it would simply be a warmer atmosphere from some members of the staff. A smile is never mandatory, of course, but it often makes guests feel more welcome. We would like to give special recognition to the evening receptionist, who consistently greeted us with a friendly smile and positive attitude. Her kindness always stood out and left a very positive impression. Overall, we believe this hotel offers fair value for money, a convenient location, reliable internet, and a team that genuinely tries to help when issues arise. For those reasons, we chose to extend our stay and would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable base in Luang Prabang.

L'hotel è difficile da trovare, situato in una strada a circa due chilometri dal mercato notturno. Lo stile generale è chiaramente quello di una guesthouse ristrutturata privatamente. Mi hanno dato una stanza al piano terra con una porta scorrevole che si affaccia direttamente sulla strada, proprio di fronte all'ingresso dell'hotel. A dire il vero, non mi sentivo molto a mio agio a pernottare lì di notte, dato che la sicurezza in Laos non è paragonabile a quella in Cina. L'unico vantaggio era il servizio gratuito di carrelli elettrici per raggiungere il mercato notturno.

Il migliore!! La direttrice Lynn è super disponibile. Questo posto è letteralmente incantevole. Offrono un'ottima e tranquilla colazione proprio sul fiume. Questo sarà il mio hotel di riferimento a Luang Prabang.

Прекрасный отель опишу подробно. Во-первых, он находится на удалении от центра города, и это очень хорошо, потому что в центре очень шумно, кафе, бары, караоке, толпы туристов. В отеле есть бесплатный шаттл, это очень удобно, ехать совсем недолго. Во-вторых, есть спортивный зал и бассейн с мелкой зоной и с нормальной глубиной 160 сантиметров, чистят его каждый день. Когда целый день гуляешь по храмам и горам, то это просто отлично - вечером поплавать и расслабиться. Третье, интернет был очень хороший, ничего не надо ждать. Четвёртое, завтрак по меню, его надо выбрать на следующий день с указанием времени, была и сытная еда, и салат, и фрукты, голодными никогда не были. У нашего номера был отличный балкон, там кресла и столик, прекрасно можно посидеть и посмотреть на закат, почитать книгу, или пропустить стаканчик. Убирали чисто. Самое в отеле лучшее - это его работники, очень внимательные, добрые, всегда готовые помочь. Будем с большой теплотой в сердце вспоминать прекрасную Vilaikham. В общем, обязательно туда вернёмся, если снова приедем. Есть ли что-то отрицательное в отеле? Совсем немного. Туалет, который разделён с номером только символической дверцей, сначала шокировал, но оказалось, что не так это и мешает жить. Если же прямо помешает, то на этаже есть туалеты, это всего несколько метров пройти. И шумные китайские туристы, которые кричат, как школьники, всё время, но это в любом отеле мира одинаково, такие уж они эмоциональные. В общем, плюсы перевешивают многократно, мы там неделю прожили, и было жалко уезжать.
