È passato molto tempo dall'ultima volta che sono stato a Shenzhen. Questa volta volevo esplorare il centro città, quindi ho trascorso mezza giornata a passeggiare nella zona di Dongmen, nel distretto di Luohu, e poi ho fatto shopping da MixC nel pomeriggio. Ho deciso di pernottare al Jiduo Hotel, ed è stato davvero fantastico. La camera aveva un minifrigo, acqua in bottiglia gratuita e una palestra ben attrezzata. Valeva sicuramente la pena soggiornare lì, offrendo un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Anche il prezzo non era eccessivo ed era nel mio budget. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel a chiunque viaggi da queste parti; sentitevi liberi di prenotare con fiducia.

Good location. At least 10 min walk to Laojie walking street and subway so away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist spot.
It is about 10 mins drive to Louwu port for rail to HK.
Plenty of eating places around as you walk to the main street.
New hotel so there are some work done around eg main lobby at 15F but the ground level reception serves clients needs well. No interruption or disturbance during our stay.
We had breakfast boxes served - welcome surprise as booking rate did not include breakfast.
Overall good value for money. Big bedroom, good TV selection offering and good bathroom amenities

Very affordable hotel. Basic but clean. Offers amenities as well like toothbrush and comb etc. Only downside is the pillows, a little hard. But otherwise, everything is great!! Staffs are very friendly as well and is always willing to help and assist. Location is fantastic, walking distance to dongmen old street and a huge mall (mixx). I extended my stay for another 4hrs which is great because I’m waiting for my husband to be done with work. Love it that they offer short stays like this.

Il personale non parla inglese, ma è possibile comunicare tramite WeChat. Per qualsiasi cosa si abbia bisogno basta inviare un messaggio. Il personale di notte è stato molto disponibile, un mio amico è rimasto bloccato in bagno per un problema con la porta. Tutto quello che hanno fatto è stato di aiuto immediato. La camera era grande, io alloggio al 38° piano con una vista mozzafiato. Offrono anche il servizio di frutta in camera e la colazione. Anche la posizione era buona. Mi hanno permesso di fare il check-out alle 16:00 perché il primo giorno ho fatto il check-in tardi, verso le 12:00. Mi scuso per il problema con la porta. Tornerò la prossima volta.

Il bagno e la doccia nelle nostre camere sono separati.
Il lavandino è esterno, quindi chiunque può usarlo in qualsiasi momento.
La posizione è ottima! C'è una stazione ferroviaria proprio fuori, ci sono anche molti ristoranti all'esterno e una piccola strada commerciale proprio di fronte. La vita notturna è molto vivace.
Il servizio e il personale dell'hotel sono molto cordiali e disponibili. Ci è stato concesso il check-out posticipato (fino alle 14:00) gratuitamente.

Ho ordinato anche una cena in camera (spam e noodles di stile HK: il lato soleggiato di uova non era cotto) e sono andato al bar di livello 4 durante il mio soggiorno. Tutto era grande. Sarò certamente tornato se sono di nuovo a Shenzhen.

JJerman VIl mio soggiorno al Ritz-Carlton è stato pulito e confortevole, con il livello di qualità e coerenza che si aspetta dal marchio. La proprietà è bella, le camere sono ben progettate e il servizio è professionale ed efficiente in tutto. Mentre tutto è stato ben eseguito, l'esperienza si è sentita più formale e meno personale di quanto possa essere l'ospitalità veramente eccezionale. There are hotels you visit, and then there are hotels that leave an imprint on your soul. The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, belongs firmly and unequivocally in the latter category. From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means.
Arrival and Reception
First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you.
The Club Skyline View Room
If the lobby whispered luxury, the Club Skyline View Room declared it in full voice. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty.
The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort.
The Mandarin Club
Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people.
Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. A cena c'è un buffet con gamberi di fiume freschi a volontà, e il personale di sala è attento e premuroso, consegnando anche i pasti in camera. La cosa più sorprendente è che l'aria nella stanza circola benissimo; basta aprire la finestra per sentire una fresca brezza, senza alcuna sensazione di aria viziata. I didn't have chance to take some pictures, but I think this hotel is ok. Hotel posted pictures are not same as real sight. Overall, average hotel for short trip.
