Stayed for a few nights and overall, it was a decent experience with a few standout perks and minor drawbacks.
👍 The Good Stuff:
- Was lucky to be placed on the 46th floor—top of the tower! 🏢 The view of Kunming city was absolutely stunning, especially at night 🌃.
- The hotel itself felt fresh and modern. Room facilities like the tap and shower were sparkling clean ✨—definitely appreciated.
- Complimentary bottled water and a mini fridge were nice touches 🧊💧.
- Location-wise, it’s nestled between two metro lines, which made getting around super convenient 🚇.
👎 The Not-So-Great:
- Staff seemed a bit new or shy—check-in felt more reserved than welcoming 😐. Not rude, just lacking warmth.
- The area around the hotel was pretty quiet 💤, which some might like, but it meant a bit of a walk to reach the nearest shopping malls 🛍️.
Overall:
A solid stay if you're after clean, modern rooms and great city views. Just don’t expect bubbly service or doorstep access to the action. Would consider staying again if convenience and comfort are the priority. 😊

Tolles neues Hotel (Eröffnung 17.08.2025). Die Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet, die Betten kuschelig, der Service ist wunderbar und der Ausblick aus dem 45. Stock atemberaubend. Auch der Koch hat uns spät am Abend noch wunderbares Essen gezaubert. Vielen Dank!

The hotel is clean and the amenities are good. There’s even a washing machine and dryer available for use, which is very convenient. However, the service was quite disappointing. We didn’t feel any warm welcome from the counter staff—no greeting when we arrived, and the atmosphere at the reception felt awkward, almost as if we weren’t welcome.
The staff outside the hotel who assisted with our luggage was very friendly, but once we entered the lobby, the experience was very different. There were no greetings when we arrived or when we left the lobby.
I had also checked multiple times beforehand whether the hotel was near the railway station for the high-speed train to Shangri-La. However, upon checking in, we found out that it was not the correct station. This was quite inconvenient.
The view from the room is nice.
Overall, the stay was comfortable in terms of facilities, but the service and communication definitely need improvement.

Hotel is pretty far from the main tourist area (40min cab ride to ancient town and night markets), and there’s literally no restaurants or shops around, but we booked it coz it was close to Kunming south station for our day trip to stone forest & mile. There’s construction all around, so even though the station is pretty close by, there’s no pedestrian path to walk, so appreciated the pick up from the hotel. They added me on WeChat so it was really convenient to arrange a pick up timing with them.
Room was clean and comfy, and staff were really nice. They even helped to keep our luggage for us for almost a full day after we checked out.
My main grip would be that the water pressure in the shower was terrible. For a brand new hotel, I really expected better…water was trickling from half of the shower head, which made for a very disappointing shower experience.

We enjoyed our stay . The room is fresh and new. All the staff members are very polite and helpful. Dinner was great . Compliments to the chef. 5 star rating. Also we had trouble booking Didi from our app and the marketing manager Jack help us to book a car for us and also pay for it. Thank you Jack for being so courteous and helpful. Oh buffet breakfast was amazing too. We will recommend friends to stay here and will be back to stay when we visit Kumming.

It‘s a brand new hotel that literally opened one week ago. We were probably the first guests in the room, so it was impeccable. The in-house gym was a bit small. Some things were not perfect, but this was probably because of the recent openings: we initially couldn’t connect to the wifi, but the staff helped to sort it out. The room was quite hot and, despite the AC being set to 16 degrees, remained so. The hotel is located 10 minutes by foot from Kunming South station. The neighborhood is, apart from said train station, a ghost town. Maybe this will change in the future as a lot of construction is going on.

Fantastic location for our short stay over as we continue on our train journey to Guangzhou. New, modern, well furnished large rooms with great view. Good food in the restaurants for our dinner and breakfast!! I booked 3 rooms with 2 single beds and one upgraded to queen. All were so happy with their rooms. Located next to Kunming South Railway and it was good that they provide free pick up and drop off service to the station especially if you have bags. The only one setback was the train station shuttle service provided by a common transport provider for two hotels located in the same building so it was on a first come first serve basis. That created a bad experience for us when one set of guests decided to jump queue to hop into the vehicle first even though we were the first to arrive. The situation was not well managed by driver and the staff. Other than that the stay was excellent and I would return again.
