Good afternoon to all at Dimitra. I’m in my review review mode, which previous guests can relate to and potential guests might find some guidance from but more importantly allows the management team, the owners, and the marketing team to get a clients view and a good feel of what we actually experience. This is my countless edit - I have to get this right, and I have gone in hard on certain points, but please remember any criticism should be seen as constructive. Where do I start…… we visited Dimitra last year and loved the staff and the very relaxing resort atmosphere so much we have just returned home from Dimitra after another wonderful holiday. We wouldn’t normally return to the same hotel/resort so soon afterwards, but our experience the first time around was just about perfect. Nothing to do outside the hotel as Dimitra is located at the end of the road from Kos town, however that in itself meant it’s very quiet outside and that is a huge plus. The resort is big, with a lot of steps up and down and not for the faint hearted so make sure when booking that if you’re not too good on your feet you’re suitably located, while on the flip side it’s easy to get your cardio steps in before breakfast with two circuits and 5000 steps achieved each day! Rather than endure the transfer coach from the airport we again took a taxi to Dimitra costing €49, and in under an hour we were checked in and on the beach. Transfer times vary, and with Dimitra being the last drop off it was time we wanted to save. On the return the Dimitra is generally second pick up point after the Michelangelo next door. OK, being honest and respectful here - I don’t think Dimitra is a 5* resort, more in the 4* bracket and parts of my review will explain my thoughts. The check in area is dated and walking up to the counter feels like you’re going buy tickets at the cinema, and better utilisation of space could see this area as a more welcoming experience, but needless to say the reception staff are a young team of very professional people who are very helpful indeed. I do apologise for my daily wristband replacement with the wristbands proving to be an attraction for bigger fish while swimming out at sea! To note I did not at any time throughout our holiday see the Dimitra guest experience manager sat at the desk opposite reception. Last year this particular manager was a great point of contact, but never saw anybody this year. Our suite - a deluxe junior suite with sea view was a short golf buggy ride away, and I had requested the same suite as last year No. 1119 - thank you to Kostas for arranging this - and on entering it was as if we’d never been away! A lovely clean and fresh airy suite that fulfilled our needs. The walk in shower is a delight, the balcony view is superb, but the suite is basic with no 5* luxury, and some of the flat pack furniture is looking rather tired and worn. Both LED TV’s didn’t work, and my own fault I didn’t to notify reception about this, b

La struttura in se, rispetta tutti i canoni delle 5 stelle presentate. Piscine, aree comuni, stanze. Tutto nella norma ed ampiamente apprezzabile. Qui finiscono i lati positivi e inizia la tragedia. Gravissime criticità emergono sulla gestione dei servizi. Basta stare 10 minuti in sala ristorante o zona bar per accorgersi che il personale non sia minimamente formato ne abbia la più pallida idea di come si gestisca un servizio e relativi clienti. Il concetto di ”scuola alberghiera” è lontano anni luce, ed è un fatto grave per una struttura 5 stelle. In una sala dove ci sono 200 persone , aver difficoltà a trovare piatti o bicchieri puliti e dover vagare per accaparr****ne uno....non è accettabile. Non è accettabile il fatto che in una struttura 5 stelle, ci si possa sedere ai tavoli esterni solo disponendo ”generose” mance ai camerieri. Non è accettabile, in una struttura 5 stelle, che la pulizia dei tavoli venga fatta con una pezza fradicia e lurida e che le tovagliette pulite vengano poi applicate sopra 1cm di acqua. Cosi come non è accettabile che ad ogni colazione, i cucchiaini non vengano mai messi a tavola, dovendo quindi chiederli ai camerieri che con tutta calma li consegano al tavolo, appoggiandoli nel mezzo come a dire ”servitevi”. Non è accettabile che i lettini in zona piscina, vengano occupati alle 7 del mattino dai piu furbi che scendono e piazzano l asciugamano per poi tornare a dormire. Poter avere un posto, dovendo fare la corsa all oro, in una struttura 5 stelle, è assurdo. Non è accettabile che sebbene il checkout sia alle ore 11....alle ore 9 due addette alla pulizia della stanza, entrano dentro la medesima, senza nemmeno bussare.....e iniziano a pulire....”sfrattando” praticamente chi c'è dentro la stanza. Non è accettabile che la shower room di servizio di una struttura 5 stelle, sia uno spogliatoio adiacente alla palestra, totalmente privo di asciugamani puliti e con un mucchio di sporchi buttato in terra in un angolo.....con uno stato di pulizia dubbia, con 10cm di acqua in terra in ogni sua parte poichè tra un utilizzo e l altro nessun operatore lo sistema e lo rende ”utilizzabile”. Non ci siamo. La struttura è davvero bella, ma viene gestita con uno standard davvero scarso e carente che forse si addice piu ad un 2 stelle. Non lo consiglio per una vacanza a Kos

Appena rientrata da una settimana trascorsa in questo fantastico resort sito a Psalidi, perciò comodissimo per raggiungere kos town : la fermata del bus è antistante l'hotel! Il personale del resort è gentilissimo (gli addetti alla reception, i camerieri del ristorante e del bar sono veramente super gentilissimi) cercano di soddisfare tutte le richieste. All'arrivo ho ricevuto una calorosa accoglienza e un aperitivo di benvenuto. Ho scelto una stanza vista mare (mi è stata assegnata la numero 408) sita nell'edificio principale: ampia, luminosa, dotata di ogni confort. La pulizia sia delle camere sia dei locali comuni è eccellente. Ho scelto la formula mezza pensione, colazione e cena sono entrambe varie e abbondanti, servite nel ristorante principale dove consiglio il tavolo sulle terrazze esterne perché c'è una vista impagabile sui giardini lussureggianti e curati. Durante il soggiorno ho testato anche la cucina greca ( ristorante tavernaki) e la raffinata cucina mediterranea del finicia restaurant ( entrambe con supplemento, da prenotare all'arrivo in hotel). Ottime le pause rilassanti a base di spremute di arancia fresca nel bar da cui si gode una rilassante vista sulle piscine, davvero impagabile! La zona piscine è stupenda! Unica pecca, il doversi alzare di buon ora per assicurarsi un posto in piscina, anche se devo specificare che questa è ormai una tradizione consolidata quasi ovunque, ma devo ammettere che di posto ce n'è tanto e per tutti !!! Cmq le piscine sono di acqua di mare, sono curate e i ragazzi addetti sono pazienti e premurosi! La spiaggia antistante è di ciottoli ma ben organizzata. Et last ma not least c'è un fantastico centro benessere di cui ho usufruito e di cui decanto la professionalità (un caro saluto ad Ana e a Eva). C'è anche una bravissima parrucchiera ( grazie Maria) ed un fornitissimo mini market! È stata una vacanza molto piacevole e sono molto felice di aver scelto questo bellissimo resort dove mi sono sentita coccolata e che consiglio senza ombra di dubbio!

Haven't done many reviews recently because I got fed up of people complaining bitterly about the budget hotels I use but some of the reviews for Kos Bay bear no relation at all to what I and a friend experienced last month on a 2 week holiday. Some people don't seem to know that you can read reviews on Tripadvisor and then make up your own mind whether to go. I read every review and then decided to go . The price for 2 weeks in July was a bargain for us at just over £400 each. So room fine ,basic but not spending much time as so much to do in Kos. A few problems such as the shower curtain but no problem as I had read the reviews. All staff pleasant and friendly especially the ladies at breakfast. The breakfast was included and it's hard to believe that there was not something for everyone. The breakfast is set in a dining area as you come into the hotel and you can eat outside on the veranda if you like though it was too hot for us. Just to run through some things, different breads and rolls cold meat and cheese honey yoghurt different cakes hot pastries. Canned peaches stuff that looked like Nuttela olives hard boiled eggs tea coffee apple and orange squash different cereal liked the corn flakes. Could go on but you get the picture. We must have been very lucky because we had plenty of sheets and towels. WiFi was excellent. No noise because we were not facing the busy roundabout. TV worked great all in Greek of course. Anyway it's amazing how lucky I have been with budget hotels maybe I don't expect the Ritz for motel prices.

Siamo stati una settimana in questo posto davvero confortevole appena siamo arrivati ci ha accolto Tony un ragazzo giovane che parlava benissimo l’italiano, cortese capace preparato, fatto il check-in in pochi minuti ci ha accompagnato alla camera (oserei dire riduttivo chiamarla così!) era veramente ampia e luminosa con un terrazzo che dava sul giardino e la piscina. La sera, per cena essendo io la più problematica della coppia mi sono chiesta chissà cosa mi aspetta, non solo ho mangiato un po’ di tutto ma era veramente tutto curato e buono, siamo italiani non pretendiamo le lasagne all’estero ma la pizza a merenda era veramente deliziosa. Avevamo la formula All inclusive bar open fino allo stremo, non essendo noi dei bevitori ci siamo gustate delle ottime bevande al limone 🥹 La sera potevi stare o potevi scegliere di andare a Kos che con un taxi ci vogliono 10 minuti. Concludo facendo i complimenti a tutti lo staff gentile e competente, i ragazzi sono veramente disponibili e la responsabile nonostante il mio inglese siamo riuscite a capirci in tutto. Mi sono dimenticata che la mattina della partenza abbiamo rotto il bicchiere sul terrazzo ho raccolto tutti i vetri e chiedo scusa x la dimenticanza , in compenso vi abbiamo lasciato il nostro materassino rosa in ricordo della nostra presenza….grazie ancora di tutto la vostra camera 146 Perilli…è mai dire mai!!!!!

Non è accettabile il fatto che in una struttura 5 stelle, ci si possa sedere ai tavoli esterni solo disponendo ”generose” mance ai camerieri. Non è accettabile, in una struttura 5 stelle, che la pulizia dei tavoli venga fatta con una pezza fradicia e lurida e che le tovagliette pulite vengano poi applicate sopra 1cm di acqua. Cosi come non è accettabile che ad ogni colazione, i cucchiaini non vengano mai messi a tavola, dovendo quindi chiederli ai camerieri che con tutta calma li consegano al tavolo, appoggiandoli nel mezzo come a dire ”servitevi”. Non è accettabile che i lettini in zona piscina, vengano occupati alle 7 del mattino dai piu furbi che scendono e piazzano l asciugamano per poi tornare a dormire. Poter avere un posto, dovendo fare la corsa all oro, in una struttura 5 stelle, è assurdo. Non è accettabile che sebbene il checkout sia alle ore 11....alle ore 9 due addette alla pulizia della stanza, entrano dentro la medesima, senza nemmeno bussare.....e iniziano a pulire....”sfrattando” praticamente chi c'è dentro la stanza. Non è accettabile che la shower room di servizio di una struttura 5 stelle, sia uno spogliatoio adiacente alla palestra, totalmente privo di asciugamani puliti e con un mucchio di sporchi buttato in terra in un angolo.....con uno stato di pulizia dubbia, con 10cm di acqua in terra in ogni sua parte poichè tra un utilizzo e l altro nessun operatore lo sistema e lo rende ”utilizzabile”. Non ci siamo. La struttura è davvero bella, ma viene gestita con uno standard davvero scarso e carente che forse si addice piu ad un 2 stelle. Non lo consiglio per una vacanza a Kos

Appena rientrata da una settimana trascorsa in questo fantastico resort sito a Psalidi, perciò comodissimo per raggiungere kos town : la fermata del bus è antistante l'hotel! Il personale del resort è gentilissimo (gli addetti alla reception, i camerieri del ristorante e del bar sono veramente super gentilissimi) cercano di soddisfare tutte le richieste. All'arrivo ho ricevuto una calorosa accoglienza e un aperitivo di benvenuto. Ho scelto una stanza vista mare (mi è stata assegnata la numero 408) sita nell'edificio principale: ampia, luminosa, dotata di ogni confort. La pulizia sia delle camere sia dei locali comuni è eccellente. Ho scelto la formula mezza pensione, colazione e cena sono entrambe varie e abbondanti, servite nel ristorante principale dove consiglio il tavolo sulle terrazze esterne perché c'è una vista impagabile sui giardini lussureggianti e curati. Durante il soggiorno ho testato anche la cucina greca ( ristorante tavernaki) e la raffinata cucina mediterranea del finicia restaurant ( entrambe con supplemento, da prenotare all'arrivo in hotel). Ottime le pause rilassanti a base di spremute di arancia fresca nel bar da cui si gode una rilassante vista sulle piscine, davvero impagabile! La zona piscine è stupenda! Unica pecca, il doversi alzare di buon ora per assicurarsi un posto in piscina, anche se devo specificare che questa è ormai una tradizione consolidata quasi ovunque, ma devo ammettere che di posto ce n'è tanto e per tutti !!! Cmq le piscine sono di acqua di mare, sono curate e i ragazzi addetti sono pazienti e premurosi! La spiaggia antistante è di ciottoli ma ben organizzata. Et last ma not least c'è un fantastico centro benessere di cui ho usufruito e di cui decanto la professionalità (un caro saluto ad Ana e a Eva). C'è anche una bravissima parrucchiera ( grazie Maria) ed un fornitissimo mini market! È stata una vacanza molto piacevole e sono molto felice di aver scelto questo bellissimo resort dove mi sono sentita coccolata e che consiglio senza ombra di dubbio!

Good afternoon to all at Dimitra. I’m in my review review mode, which previous guests can relate to and potential guests might find some guidance from but more importantly allows the management team, the owners, and the marketing team to get a clients view and a good feel of what we actually experience. This is my countless edit - I have to get this right, and I have gone in hard on certain points, but please remember any criticism should be seen as constructive. Where do I start…… we visited Dimitra last year and loved the staff and the very relaxing resort atmosphere so much we have just returned home from Dimitra after another wonderful holiday. We wouldn’t normally return to the same hotel/resort so soon afterwards, but our experience the first time around was just about perfect. Nothing to do outside the hotel as Dimitra is located at the end of the road from Kos town, however that in itself meant it’s very quiet outside and that is a huge plus. The resort is big, with a lot of steps up and down and not for the faint hearted so make sure when booking that if you’re not too good on your feet you’re suitably located, while on the flip side it’s easy to get your cardio steps in before breakfast with two circuits and 5000 steps achieved each day! Rather than endure the transfer coach from the airport we again took a taxi to Dimitra costing €49, and in under an hour we were checked in and on the beach. Transfer times vary, and with Dimitra being the last drop off it was time we wanted to save. On the return the Dimitra is generally second pick up point after the Michelangelo next door. OK, being honest and respectful here - I don’t think Dimitra is a 5* resort, more in the 4* bracket and parts of my review will explain my thoughts. The check in area is dated and walking up to the counter feels like you’re going buy tickets at the cinema, and better utilisation of space could see this area as a more welcoming experience, but needless to say the reception staff are a young team of very professional people who are very helpful indeed. I do apologise for my daily wristband replacement with the wristbands proving to be an attraction for bigger fish while swimming out at sea! To note I did not at any time throughout our holiday see the Dimitra guest experience manager sat at the desk opposite reception. Last year this particular manager was a great point of contact, but never saw anybody this year. Our suite - a deluxe junior suite with sea view was a short golf buggy ride away, and I had requested the same suite as last year No. 1119 - thank you to Kostas for arranging this - and on entering it was as if we’d never been away! A lovely clean and fresh airy suite that fulfilled our needs. The walk in shower is a delight, the balcony view is superb, but the suite is basic with no 5* luxury, and some of the flat pack furniture is looking rather tired and worn. In October 2023 I booked the Christa Apartment’s for a 7-day break. In my party there were two adults.   ROOM We were assigned room 22 which was located on the first floor (there is a lift provided). The apartment had a small kitchen, bathroom with shower, two separate bedrooms each with two single beds in (these are pushed together if you don’t require single beds).  There is also a balcony that can be accessed from both bedrooms. The rooms are spotless & the cleaning team do a fantastic job. The room also has fantastic Air Conditioning system. If you require a safe only one of the bedrooms has one.   FOOD As far as I am aware the apartment doesn’t provide or offer food which is understandable with it being self-catering apartments. However the appartment is in a perfect location for some fantastic restaurants that are within walking distance (I have listed some of these restaurants below). HOTEL & LOCATION The hotel is kept really clean with lots of outside / under shelter seating. The location of the hotel is fantastic for people who want to be near the beach / Kos Town. You can be at the sea in 6 minutes from the hotel front door. There is a variety of restaurants near the hotel (I have mentioned the best restaurants we found the best below). If you hire a car there is quite a bit of free kerbside parking around the hotel. A massive positive for the hotel is the shower facilities they have on ground floor which you can use to freshen yourself up on the days you arrive or leave if you have not checked in or checked out. They also have lockers that you can pay 2 euros to hire to store your luggage which allows you too make the most of your arrival or departure days ( I have uploaded a video of these shower facilities which you can find on my YouTube channel, the link is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube).    POOL The pool at the hotel is spotlessly clean & tidy. When I visited the apartments, I only used the pool once as we were out most days till late. The pool is open 10am – 7pm.  I did feel there was probably a need for some extra sun beds during the busier months as there wasn’t many (The pool can also be seen in some of video tours I did of my stay on my YouTube channel, the link for this is in my TripAdvisor profile or by searching howeij on YouTube).   STAFF The staff at the hotel were fantastic & helpful. A massive shout out to Aimilia & Emiliano who were always so welcoming, they are a credit to the apartments.   OVERALL Overall, we had a great stay at the Christa Apartment’s. If I was to return to Kos & this apartment was available Id happily book the apartments again.
