We routinely stay at Marriott properties in Istanbul and tried this one for a change. It is located slightly outside the hustle and bustle but 5 minutes to the subway and ideally located near restaurants and shopping. Our special observation is about all of the staff; they were so friendly and welcoming. We give a shout out to Eren at Breakfast, Putra in housekeeping. The breakfast is until 11am and is the best we have had in Istanbul hotels. The executive lounge is on the top floor and the staff very good. The fare is heavy on desserts but light on other items. This has now become our hotel in Istanbul

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura per due notti ottima location 5 stelle a circa 10 minuti d'auto da piazza Taksin con piscina sia esterna che coperta molto bella. Il ristorante a buffet offriva una grande varietà di piatti della cucina locale e internazionale eccezionali. Il lounge bar offriva dolci della tradizione turca e tè locale veramente mai provati prima. Tutto lo staff cordiale ed attento alle esigenze dell'ospite. Da tornarci sicuramente. Consigliatissimo.

Ottimo hotel con standard elevati in zona centrale con camere grandi e confortevoli, buona la colazione anche se manca qualcosina tipo bottiglie d'acqua, c'e' solo una caraffa a disposizione o più varietà di succhi. Bellissima la zona spa e con palestra e 2 piscina esterna e interna. Abbiamo anche usufruito della sala Lounge Executive e magari qui il cibo e drink sarebbe meglio che fossero disponibili tutto il girono e non solo a determinati orari. Poi un ringraziamento speciale a Nazli ed Eren dello staff che mi hanno fatto trovare in camera un dessert e una bottiglia di vino per il mio compleanno, è stata una piacevole sorpresa.

L'hotel è situato a pochi passi dalle attrazioni locali, ma abbiamo usato UBER molto e non è stato molto costoso e facile ottenere una macchina. Intorno all'hotel troverete molti ristoranti e negozi, i clienti di casa sono molto professionali e la nostra camera è stata pulita ogni giorno e riempita di bagno, bottiglie d'acqua, caffè e tè. Ci sono stati offerti colazione ogni mattina, una bella varietà di opzioni.

Ma per notte 1.000 TL non si può trovare altro hotel di questa qualità a Istanbul..

On arrival they insisted I pay 100% in advance. I had taken a suit which was well past it’s best. The room stank, it was dreadful, it is clearly a smoking room, opening windows did little to alleviate the stench and after 3 days all my clothing now stank. The carpets were stained and looked dreadful, furniture was chipped, marked and stained in place well in need of replacing. There were used nappies outside the room where my patio door went, not mention the fall as there were no safety rails outside. There is no way that this hotel in 4*. There were about 10 of us in total there and we all go back to Istanbul in May and we have all said never again. The breakfast was dreadful, only options if you wanted a drink was water, coffee or tea. No juice!! The toast machine barely functions, put your bread through 4 times and it’s still not toasted. The food choices left my team perplexed, no effort to cater for international customers. Room service, well you can’t credit it to your room as they have taken your payment at check in, so the steward insists on cash only!! Nice touch that…. Not… Yes I did ask to be moved, as my room stank so bad, but reception did nothing and promptly forgot my issue, why would they care they already had my money in full. The WiFi was rubbish, it blocked playing games online and other sites such as this one!! Even Apple news struggled. It would not work if my VPN was on. One day there was a drilling in the room above for hours, nice touch of torture that. Oh and the bath water came out brown… In summary one to avoid. My group will stay up the road in another hotel next time. AVOID
