Access to Yellowstone Park from our north entrance was fully restored October 30, 2022 with a beautiful new road! Our sweet backyard cottage is nestled among the fruit and flower trees of the yard. It is easily within walking distance to the grocery store, coffee, shopping, restaurants, laundromat, post office, and local arch park events. It is at the north entrance to Yellowstone Park, as is all of Gardiner. The cottage is in the heart of town but shielded from the main street by the owners' home. The yard is shared with the owners but privacy is afforded by the layout. The owners' home was built in 1930 and its cottage was built in 1940 by former owners, the Eastons. It is believed that their intent was to rent the cottage to visitors of Yellowstone, making it a very early vacation rental in this town. The cottage is a perfect fit for two people who want to day trip to northern Yellowstone, book local activities like rafting, biking, horseback riding, and return to a simple, basic, clean environment to relax. Our guests note that the well cultivated green and floral landscaping add to the charm and character of their experience. The stucco cottage still has the details of its early history with the old style glass door knobs and kitchen cabinets. There is a comfortable queen bed, sitting area with Smart tv, eating area, full but small kitchen, and full bathroom. It is clean, well cared for, and you are welcome! Welcome to Yellowstone Retreat Rentals! Built in 2021, our two bedroom one bathroom apartments carry all the necessities you need to visit Yellowstone. The apartment is located only four blocks from the historic Roosevelt Arch, the North Entrance to Yellowstone. We are also located a few blocks from Arch Park, which provides grills, a gazebo and picnic tables, and the neighborhood elk that tend to hang out there. With our convenient location, you will also be close to all of the wonderful shops and restaurants our little town has to offer. We have BRAND NEW MATTRESSES delivered in April of 2025.As mentioned above, each unit has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It also has a laundry room, washer and dryer, with laundry soap and dryer sheets provided (nice for those guests who have been traveling for a bit!). There is a queen bed in each bedroom, and there is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. We provide extra blankets, pillows, and sheet sets for the sleeper sofa. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo, as well as hairdryer and towels provided. We have a full kitchen with a full size oven, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. All of the basic kitchen essentials are provided along with dish soap. You cannot carry bear spray on the airplane, which is why we provide it for you! It is located above the microwave in the kitchen. Parking in Gardiner can be a struggle - not here! There is one parking spot per unit provided, right in front of the building. There is also a paved handicapped spot right in front of our ADA unit for those in need of it. Some important things to note : *We DO NOT provide cable TV. We have Smart TVs and you have the ability to log in to any streaming service you carry. We have the best WIFI plan available to accommodate our working travelers and those who want to relax with a movie after a long day in the park. *Our air conditioning unit (our AC is not central air) is located in the living room, and tower fans are provided in the closet of each bedroom. *If you are sensitive to noise, we would recommend getting a top floor unit. We worked with our contractor to do all we can to prevent noise transference, but these are apartments with two upper units, and two lower units. We also enforce quiet time from 10pm-7am, and no parties are allowed at our apartment. *For our ADA unit: The countertops and cabinets are lower, and there is no under sink storage in the bathroom or kitchen to accommodate our guests in wheelchairs. We are a small family business, and love what we do. We take great pride in our business, and want to provide each guest with a 5 star experience! Wildlife is common in the area and neighborhood, so don't be surprised if you see elk, bison, deer, a fox, or bighorn sheep on or near the property. The house has a 4 zone mini split AC/heat pump system to help keep a comfortable indoor temperature year round. The living room and each bedroom have their own dedicated AC/Heat pump wall mounted mini split unit. This system allows guests to individually set their desired bedroom and living room temperatures. The Roosevelt Arch which is the northern entrance to Yellowstone can be seen from the Master Bedroom and front deck. The great room has walnut floors, rock fireplace, huge windows for beautiful views, vaulted ceiling, 2 reclining leather sofas and leather chair. The vaulted ceiling and walnut floors continue through to the kitchen with its granite counter tops, farmhouse sink, top of the line appliances, 2 full ovens, lots of cabinet space and a separate pantry.There are two bedrooms on the upper level. Large living room with 54 inch TV with satellite. Dining room table sits 8 and a counter bar that sits 3. The kitchen is fully stocked with all amenities, coffee, tea, sugar, spices, flour, ketchup and lots more. I also stock tp, all soaps except hair. Washer and dryer with soap. And bear spray to take with you will your out hiking. The back yard has a deck with table and chairs with barbeque right off the back door. The large back yard is big enough to play soccer in and then the most enjoyable feature is the gazebo with deck over the river. We also have built a concrete dance floor off the gazebo for weddings. This house is a very comfy house and is far enough out of town to not hear all the noise but yet close enough if you need to run in to get some supplies. At different times of the year you may see different wildlife in the yard such as mule deer, elk, grizzly and black bear and buffalo.
