On the negative side: - Room size is quite small, which may not suit guests seeking spacious accommodation. - Unusual housekeeping policy: rooms are only cleaned once every two days, which may not meet expectations for daily upkeep. Overall Verdict: While the location and amenities are commendable, the limited room space and infrequent cleaning schedule detract from the overall experience. For the price point, it falls short of delivering full value for money."

"Ho prenotato un soggiorno di 3 notti, il check-in è stato piacevole e tempestivo. Una volta raggiunta la stanza, il water era intasato, il vetro del bagno era ammuffito. Il resto della stanza era ok ma c'era un odore di odore proveniente dalla moquette. La TV era come un modello obsoleto e la ricezione era orribile e poco chiara, cosa che non otteniamo al giorno d'oggi se non negli anni '80 o '90. La colazione era davvero semplice, dovresti saltarla e non sembra quella di un hotel. Ho fatto il check-out anticipato di un giorno e ho prenotato un altro hotel perché non mi sento bene."

"The room is quite small, but it offers a lovely view. It's very clean, although we didn’t have enough space to store all our shopping bags. :) Mr Putasnen Nagadaran was exceptionally helpful and proactive. He made sure my early check-in request was fulfilled with a clean room ready upon arrival, and he even greeted me by name when he saw me in the corridor while he was checking other rooms. He took the time to respond to my email sent late at night—while I was out during the day—with detailed information about nearby parking options in case the hotel’s lot was full. We’ll be returning because of Mr Putasnen’s outstanding service, not because of the hotel itself. Mr Putasnen - Please take care of yourself and don't overwork :)"

"Posizione strategica per ogni luogo. L'insonorizzazione è scarsa, anche se l'hotel mi ha assegnato un piano più alto, 19 piani per l'esattezza. Fortunatamente non ho problemi a dormire/sono un buon dormiglione. Penso che sia qualcosa di inevitabile, data la posizione nel caos della città. Come utente di trip.com per la prima volta, quindi ho ottenuto uno sconto sul pagamento del conto totale. La cosa che adoro di più è il distributore d'acqua. Posso riempirlo facilmente e rimanere idratato durante tutto il soggiorno. La bella vista del komtar di notte è un punto a favore."

That said, if you’re planning a long stay or value spaciousness, you might feel a bit cramped. 🚗 Complimentary Parking A rare plus in central Penang—parking is free for hotel guests. The Cititel Express shares a secure multi-story car park with St. Giles Wembley, and parking comes with no charge for Cititel Express guests  . Do note, though, that a few guests have mentioned occasional hiccups with the parking ticket system, requiring a quick stop at reception to get it reissued  . 👍 Service, Cleanliness & Value Most reviews highlight friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, strong value-for-money pricing, and acceptable cleanliness standards for a budget-friendly city hotel    . While the facilities are basic, guests didn’t mention major complaints beyond the room size     . ⚠️ Noise & Thin Walls Light sleepers should be aware: the rooms tend to have minimal soundproofing, and sounds from neighbouring rooms or the corridor can be noticeable   "

"Le camere ei bagni erano molto puliti. Questo è un grande vantaggio. Tuttavia, c'erano alcune preoccupazioni. Inizialmente la stanza al nostro 18° piano aveva una porta comunicante con la stanza accanto. "A Relaxing Stay – Altamente raccomandato! Adorava questo hotel! La stanza era pulita, moderna e aveva un letto super comodo.Grande posizione vicina ai caffè e ai trasporti pubblici. Il personale era amichevole e utile. Il colazione aveva buone opzioni, e il Wi-Fi era veloce. Solo una piccola questione era un po' di rumore dalla strada, ma non mi ha rovinato il soggiorno. Sicuramente prenoterei di nuovo!"

"L'hotel è in un'ottima posizione e si possono raggiungere a piedi le attrazioni vicine al centro storico. L'unica cosa che non mi ha soddisfatto è stato il rumore delle pulizie ogni mattina prima delle 6:00, i primi due giorni. Non sapevo se fosse il rumore proveniente dalla porta accanto o dalla stanza al piano di sopra. Il mio sonno ristoratore mattutino è stato bruscamente disturbato. La terza mattina sono andato alla reception per chiedere un cambio di camera, ma il cameriere mi ha detto di aspettare un attimo. Di conseguenza, sono andato dalla ragazza alla reception tre volte prima di ricevere la tessera della camera verso le 15:00. Inizialmente, la reception mi ha detto che dovevo tornare in camera a preparare le mie cose e che la nuova tessera sarebbe stata consegnata in camera entro dieci minuti. Ma dopo aver aspettato più di dieci minuti, nessuno me l'ha consegnata. Di conseguenza, sono corso alla reception per chiederla al cameriere. Dopo essermi rigirato per diverse volte, ero di cattivo umore. Per fortuna, dopo aver cambiato camera, ho finalmente dormito bene."
