Il Mint Hotel 84 offre le basi giuste con camere pulite, confortevoli e personale amichevole.La mia camera era doppia standard con letto regine, aveva tutto quello che mi serviva, tra cui un ufficio, un caffè e una buona pressione idrica nel bagno. Il letto era piuttosto comodo e la stanza era pulita ogni giorno. Il colazione diffuso nella zona di pranzo aveva una varietà di opzioni, tra cui cereali, tostapane, frutta, pascoli e uova. Il cibo era di qualità e freschezza media, non eccezionale, ma sufficiente per iniziare il giorno. Il personale di servizio presso il dipartimento frontale e il concierge erano piacevoli, utili ed efficienti ogni volta che avevo domande, e hanno fornito raccomandazioni per ristoranti e attrazioni nella zona. L'hotel dispone di una piscina all'aperto e di un centro fitness, anche se non ho usato il centro fitness durante il mio soggiorno. In generale, l'Hotel Mint 84 offre alloggi a buon punto e senza frill in una posizione conveniente per esplorare Katherine. Il punto di prezzo è giusto per la qualità che si ottiene, rendendolo una scelta solida per il business standard o per il viaggio di svago.

Sono rimasto qui una notte in affari in giugno. Mi sono stato aggiornato in una camera più grande come Marriott Bonvoy Elite, così che era piacevole. Purtroppo la mia auto a noleggio è stata rotta in una notte nel parcheggio dell'hotel e gli oggetti rubati dall'interno. Il CCTV sembra avere un posto cieco dove ero parcheggiato, e ulteriormente bloccato da un SUV più grande. Hanno potuto portare la polizia sul sito molto rapidamente per prendere una relazione, che mi ha consentito di volare in tempo, nonostante questo problema.

If there were another Hilton’s in Johannesburg, that is where I’d be staying. But there is no other option for a loyal Hilton guy like me, so I spent 10 nights at the Hilton Sandton. I will readily admit that from day-to-day, the staff and the facilities were absolutely wonderful. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the Executive Lounge was very well serviced, the restaurant was excellent, the hotel grounds superb, the Business Centre efficient. I had pre-arranged airport pickup and daily business rides through the hotel and our driver MORGAN proved himself many times over to be reliable and flexible thoughout my stay. However, both the checkin and checkout process with the Front Desk were distasteful, disturbed my entire stay, and made me wish I was somewhere else. I had reserved and prepaid for a King room; as a long time Diamond member, I naturally expected some sort of upgrade, especially since I was staying for 10 nights. After 18 hours of flights, and a further 24 hours of layover, all I wanted to do was sleep. I had checked in online and knew my room assignment. At the Front Desk, I handed over my American Express Hilton card, and passports for my wife and I to HOWARD (“an experienced Front Office team member” according to hotel General Manager JOHN MCAREE). At first, HOWARD could not find my reservation and, next, once found thought it had been cancelled and, next, thought the reservation was in my wife’s name (it was not), and finally when he found the reservation, took a copy of my wife’s passport (but not my own for some unknown reason). I then had the temerity to ask if there any possibility of an upgrade. “Oh no no no” said Howard. “Why not” I asked. “Because you checked in online. Once the room is assigned, there is no changing it” said HOWARD. I knew from experience this was rubbish and not in compliance with Hilton policy or procedures. Indeed, when I checkedin online, the Hilton website said that an upgrade would be made available if possible. So I gently persisted in my questioning, and Howard gently insisted that no upgrade was possible since I had checked in online. I believe it was only when I asked for the business card of the General Manager that HOWARD checked with a colleague and, indeed, an upgrade was magically offered. It was the lowest level of upgrade possible, but something is better than nothing. I thanked him for the upgrade, and again asked for the GM’s business card. They had none. Indeed, they wrote down his name for me (three times with three different spellings) but did not know his phone # or email address. (I later googled him and got both). Perhaps due to this little interaction, HOWARD forgot to tell me about the Business Centre, the gift shop, the free shuttle to the local mall, hotel restaurant hours, the WIFI code, the hotel spa, or any of the other hotel services. He did mention the Executive Lounge several times in a tone approaching reverence. Never in my 20 years of experience with Hilton

Hotel molto bello e moderno, situato a Melrose arch, un quartiere tra i pochi veramente tranquilli e sicuri di Johannesburg per i turisti. Camere belle e grandi, con ampia vasca da bagno e doccia separata. Personale gentile e disponibile, colazione abbondante a buffet con possibilità di ordinare anche un piatto extra (omelette o altro). Molto comodo anche per la posizione, poiché nello stesso quartiere sono presenti una serie di ristoranti molto buoni (raccomando il grillhouse e Mr. George). Non ultimo, mi sono potuto vedere la partita di campionato del Milan e le altre della serie A in quanto c’era un canale sudafricano che le trasmetteva tutte…prezzo non proprio da poco, ma per stare a Johannesburg bisogna scegliere un buon hotel e soprattutto un quartiere sicuro. in generale un ottimo hotel, un’ottima soluzione se siete a Joburg per turismo o solo di passaggio, lo consiglio vivamente

Very disappointed after our stay at The DaVinci Hotel. I was thoroughly looking forward to this stay as I have not stayed in this hotel before and it had been on my list, check in took quite long, which didn't bother me initially but ended up being a compounding factor after everything else, we had booked online and it took close to an hour for us to get checked in and given our room key, we used this time to look around. When we finally got to our room, we quickly left everything and went to the mall then had dinner, we got back relatively late and only upon getting back did we notice the bed was 2 single beds pushed together, however we booked and paid for a delux king room, needless to say I spent the duration of the evening falling through the 2 beds as I was trying to cuddle my lady, so I didn't get much sleep to say the least. When we got up in the morning I quite badly needed a coffee to wake me up after the night I had and Lo and behold, the coffee machine was not working! By this point you can imagine the frustration.. so we got dressed and went down for breakfast, the process of simply getting a coffee took close to 40 minutes, let alone the food arriving! We actually ended up getting up and leaving because we had plans for the day and did not expect to wait over an hour for our breakfast to arrive! The cold food that was available at the buffet was very dry as well but we scoffed it down and went on our way, it was only while we were walking out that the juice we ordered when we arrived was beginning to make its way to our table, so we were given the bottle and we went on our way We mentioned the incorrect room as well as the coffee machine to the lady at the checkout desk, to which I was reassured that next time we stay it will be nice I can very confidently confirm that there will not be a next time from us, as we do expect a certain service when checking into a 5 star hotel and paying the price that comes along with it On a positive note, the concierge was helpful with taking our luggage to the room Such a pity for a lovely perfectly located place to put such little effort into the quality they provide

Le strutture dell'hotel sono ancora molto buone, la colazione è molto ricca, abbiamo prenotato una suite appartamento, che ha una cucina, un soggiorno e un bagno, l'attrezzatura è relativamente completa, un ottimo hotel

Hotel fantastico. Tratta sempre con personale cordiale. Mi prendo sempre cura della mia stanza e dei miei pasti. Ottima atmosfera.

Il capo è cinese, molto entusiasta, molto cucina e delizioso.La notte locale è un po' fredda, il capo ha anche configurato un letto di diamante elettrico a calore, molto comodo.

Le camere sono pulite e ben decorate. Il servizio del ristorante è molto lento e il cibo è medio. L'altro giorno all'hotel abbiamo lasciato presto la mattina e ho dimenticato i miei occhiali sul tavolo da pranzo. Quando tornammo, notammo che i miei occhiali e la cassetta erano andati, ho controllato in ogni stanza senza fortuna, e sembra evidente che il personale di pulizia ha preso i occhiali dalla nostra stanza. Questo è molto grave per l'immagine dell'hotel e dell'immagine dell'Africa del Sud, e ho parlato con il personale della reception, per sorpresa, hanno accettato che in SA questa situazione è assolutamente normale e non possono fare nulla. Ho ricevuto un'e-mail da qualcuno all'hotel dopo. Non c'è nulla di risolto (ovviamente). Posizione: pensavamo che fosse un'area sicura. Non potevamo andare a piedi, visto persone molto schizzi.
