Hotel in zona Adidas Takashimaya Saigon Centre, Ho Chi Minh

Staying at the Rex Hotel is like wandering onto the set of the 1932 MGM film ”Grand Hotel.” Morning begins with a lavish buffet breakfast in the Beaux-Arts-style ballroom. The host, wearing a tuxedo, welcomes you with a warm and enthusiastic smile. Then you'll take a swim in the gorgeous 6th floor pool under a tropical sky. Throughout the day, gracious staff members are available to make your stay a memorable one. In the evening, cocktails and dinner are served on the lovely rooftop, with sweeping views of the city. Indeed, when you stay at the Rex, you've finally experienced a Grand Hotel.

I have booked a VIP room costed about SGD 100 per nite for 2 nites. The photo shows a jacuzzi in the room! Upon check-in the room, I found the room a bit dark with dark walls, even with the curtains of the doors to the balcony opened. I have to repaired the right bedside light to make it lit. The TV remote has run out of batteries & the hair dryer is not working. I have to ask the house keeping to change it. The room is spacious with a outdoor balcony for smokers, as there is an ashtray there despite of my booking request for a non-smoking room. The balcony is facing a white wall of the next building!?! So no nice view from the balcony. Double basins are good but the jacuzzi is not working! Just treat it as an oversized bathtub. Feedback to the front counter & the answer is all jacuzzis in the hotel are all not working!?! This should be stated at the point of booking. I felt like being scammed to book a non-working jacuzzi VIP room! There are no face towels, just a medium sized towel & 2 large bath towels. The white floor towel is already stained & wet when I checked in. The aircon is weak even I have set it to full blast. However, the room is quiet without the infamous Vietnam traffic noise. There is no nite light leading to the bathroom in the nite, I have to switch on & off the lights when using it during sleep. The toilet bowl is located in the dark corner without lights. Do avoid throwing toilet paper into the bowl which would choked it. I learn it the hard way! The digital lock of the door sometimes refuses to lock. So do check if the door is lock when going out. The location of the hotel is perfect facing the famous Ben Thanh market. Shopping, eating & money changing are not a problem. There’s is a pharmacy in the left of the hotel & jewellers at the right for money changing. Most jewellers are unofficial moneychangers. This would be my first & last stay with this hotel,as there are plenty of other hotels nearby if I wanted to stay near the Ben Thanh market for my future trips. I do not mind paying but do not scam me.

Generally a laid back hotel at a great location near Ben Thanh market...if you are getting the bigger room, it will be value for money for comparatively similar sized rooms at nearby hotels...it now serves food and has an in-house massage room which adds simple comfort for a budget conscious traveller...many convenience stores and eateries nearby

The hotel is located in a good location not far from all major attractions. The staff was responsive. We enjoyed our stay even more after they cleaned the a/c. The 4 minor things i didn't enjoy about my stay are: 1. They gave us only 1 key. I requested an additional key but they refused. I think they should update to key cards in this day and age. 2. A spider made a nest in the bathroom 3. The refrigerator was packed with ice and needed cleaning 4. The furniture was dark and dated.

It was a wonderful stay at Le Merdien Saigon. Check in was a breeze and Ms.Hanni who was on duty was professional and able to address the concern on a minor defect in the room toilet. The issue was rectified while I was outside and issue was fixed prior to returning back to the hotel room. Attentive to the details she verified to ensure everything is in order in the next day. Other concerns were also addressed during check-in and also swift arrangement to address some other issues. A wonderful surprise to a fruit platter as well! We also ordered the in room dining food for dinner and it was good, thanks to the wonderful chef who brought the food up. Overall it was a good stay again in Le Meridien and like to compliment the warm hospitality and excellent customer service to Ms. Hanni and also to the manager on duty . Will be back staying at Le Merdien Saigon in the future. A minor feedback to the Global Marriott bonvoy app ( not Vietnam specific) if the room booking could have a list of default options for customer to be notified if the booking is primarily for room only vs room with breakfast vs room with addon (i.e breakfast , etc ) so that customer would be able to know easily during online booking . Current application may be challenging to navigate these options.

L'hotel è molto fondamentale. Tuttavia le camere sono molto belle, pulite con una cassaforte. A $40 per notte non si può più chiedere. Mi è stato detto che alcuni hotel nella zona offrono colazione allo stesso prezzo. Personale buono e amichevole ma manca in inglese ( sono in Vietnam!!). Quindi davvero una camera molto buona solo posto con un bel bagno. Nota: si deve negoziare circa 12 passi per entrare e uscire dall'hotel. Se questo è un problema non restare qui

Adoro assolutamente la vista di questo hotel. Ho soggiornato nella stanza sul 29° piano e ho avuto una vista estremamente bella della città. L'occhio alla finestra è come un dipinto. Il personale carino e entusiasta mi ha aiutato a spostare il mio bagaglio e ha suggerito alcuni ristoranti economici ma deliziosi. Posizione: lontano dal centro città, quindi spostati con Grab o autobus. Puoi anche prendere l'autobus numero 20 per 6K. Vicino alla fermata dell'autobus. (Circa 30 minuti in autobus dal vicino mercato di Ben Thanh) Camera: pulita, solo lo spazzolino da denti fornito come dotazioni Piscina: c'è una piscina a sfioro sul tetto e una piscina in giardino al primo piano. Nonostante fossero le vacanze di Capodanno, ho potuto godermi la piscina fin dal mattino. Prezzo: economico considerando le strutture. Nel complesso: il prezzo è basso. 　　La vista della piscina a sfioro sul tetto è fantastica 　　Voglio assolutamente tornarci. Altamente raccomandato.

This hotel is owned by a wonderful, sweet family! If you need help, they will always help. The hotel is very clean, no insects. The rooms are cleaned. The linen is changed every few days. Thank you for a wonderful holiday! I recommend the hotel. The beach is a 5-minute walk away.
