We have been to lots of hotels in great places but D Maris’ location just takes your breath away; STUNNING – we could not get enough of the view. Go for deluxe sea view room or a sea view suite to fully appreciate it. The hotel itself is not bad; it has 5 beaches with easy access between them by a shuttle boat (our favourite one was the green beach – The Silent one) and 5 restaurants; we stayed at the hotel towards the end of the season which meant that we had beaches to almost just ourselves and there was no need to book any restaurants; we did not try Manos as the place was completely empty on most nights and to be honest we’ve heard very mixed reviews so just did not bother; La Guerite, on the other hand, was very disappointing – we had great expectations but unfortunately we left disappointed; the seabass ceviche was lovely but the mussels and grilled prawns were lukewarm and generally there was a feeling of not being very welcome. Zuma’s food, however, was excellent – we had dinner there twice (in our 6 day stay)– just a shame about some of the staff who appeared to be totally disinterested in what they were doing; also my plate was taken away while I was still eating and I had to ask the waiter to put it back on the table – that was a bit weird, to say the least. D Maris Kitchen is also very good. Just one word of caution – the prices throughout the hotel are very high; food was on the a par with London but drinks were extortionate; 75cm bottle of water was about £5, same for a glass of coke, beer was about £12 a bottle and the cheapest wine, in any restaurant, was over £60 a bottle; problem is that the hotel is very isolated so has a captive audience but there is no need to mark the drinks by 400-500%; one other thing to be aware of, is that the curtains in the rooms let a lot of light in, in fact the door to the hot tub room is only frosted, letting in huge amount of light so if you are light sleeper bring an eye mask with you. I would have thought that a 5* hotel could afford to have blackout curtains, considering they have huge amount of sun/light through the year. Having said all of this, it’s a lovely hotel and I can highly recommend it.

I am currently staying at this hotel, and I must say that it left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the design and ambiance of the hotel were simply breathtaking. The sophistication and beauty of the rooms were in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment, creating a truly immersive experience. The location, too, was unparalleled, and the hotel made the best use of its prime position. However, despite these positives, I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the service provided by the staff. Communication between the hotel staff and guests was noticeably lacking. Important updates and events were only announced on Instagram, leaving many staff members uninformed about the happenings within the hotel. This lack of coordination resulted in confusion and frustration as we found ourselves unaware of available amenities or the current menu offerings. One of the major drawbacks was the disinterest shown by the staff towards the guests. While the hotel was exclusively for adults, the adjacent beach seemed to attract people from all over, which impacted the serene and exclusive atmosphere. To add to the disappointment, the hotel staff paid little attention to the beachgoers, appearing disengaged and uninterested in catering to their needs. It was disheartening to observe the lack of personal touch and genuine care that should be expected from a luxury establishment. The music experience at the hotel was a mixed bag. While the pool area offered a perfect and relaxing musical backdrop, the beach area suffered from inconsistencies. On some days, loud disco music with heavy bass blared as early as 8:00 in the morning, disrupting any hopes of tranquility. On other days, pleasant and soothing summery tunes would play, befitting a 5-star relaxation haven. This inconsistency in the musical atmosphere added to the overall inconsistency of the hotel's identity. It is evident that a considerable amount of thought had been put into the hotel's design, but unfortunately, the same level of consideration does not seem to extend to defining what the hotel truly wants to be. Moreover, it is apparent that minimal effort had been invested in training the staff adequately, resulting in a lackluster guest experience. In conclusion, this hotel possesses the potential to be one of the world's finest, thanks to its exceptional location and captivating design. However, it falls short due to poor management and the disruptive activities of neighboring establishments. While I genuinely wanted to love this hotel, the issues with service, communication, and inconsistency left me feeling unsatisfied. With some improvements in management and a focus on training and coordination, this hotel could truly become a world-class destination.

Mio marito e io abbiamo trascorso una settimana meravigliosa qui all’inizio di maggio e non avremmo potuto chiedere un posto più bello per restare. Mehmet e la squadra erano meravigliosamente attenti e niente era troppo difficile. Le camere (avevamo una vista sul mare) erano pulite, confortevoli e spaziose, e completamente attrezzate – mentre avremmo preferito non usarlo, la grande TV dello schermo è venuta a buon uso quando pioveva il giorno della Coronazione, quindi abbiamo visto la copertura della BBC! È un breve passo in città, dove ci sono bar e ristoranti spiaggia tra cui il bar sorella – Pilos Beach – che è anche raccomandato, ma se si vuole fare la passeggiata intorno all’hotel, ci sono 2 piscine e un’atmosfera rilassante o un cortile da tennis e un Gym per i tipi più attivi. E non potevo lasciare un recensione senza menzionare il colazione. C'era qualcosa per tutti - i cereali e le pasticcerie, le specialità turche, tra cui diversi tipi di miele, frutta, salami, succo fresco – lo chiami, era lì. Si consiglia di avere l'omelette troppo – così fluffy! Rarissimamente abbiamo dovuto pranzo!! Ci siamo apprezzati molto il nostro tempo a Pilos e lo consigliamo molto

È stato un viaggio fantastico per noi. L'hotel e la sua vista sono magnifici. L'amicizia e l'aiuto del personale hanno reso il nostro lavoro molto più facile. La spiaggia è vicino all'hotel e si può ordinare lounge solari. I pasti e i dolci sono incredibilmente deliziosi e hanno molte varietà. L'ambiente è molto decente e affidabile. E 'molto ideale per la famiglia. Abbiamo fatto un paio di volte e siamo stati molto felici, lo consigliamo a tutti.

There were 12 of us, all mixed ages from toddler to 58. The hotel was always clean. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Pool area and bar were exceptional. Our room was cleaned daily. The only thing i would agree with on the negative reviews is it’s not 4 star quality as us brits know it but we couldn’t fault it. We ate out a lot but there was always something we could have eaten if we had wanted. They catered for children. The bar staff were always polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The alcoholic drinks were perfect and not watered down at all. If anything they have triple measures! The hotel rep sorted all out trips and we got some fabulous deals. However there are two sides to this hotel and the side for adult only is run down. We were in the other side as we had children with us. So ignore all the negativity. If you want a nice, relaxed traditional Turkish holiday The Munamar beach resort is perfect and for the price you can’t really grumble. We paid £780 for 10 days flights and holiday. If you want luxury then obviously this isn’t the hotel for you.

In Marmaris, gli appartamenti sono stati presi per la prima volta e con la prima tentativa di tale fortuna :) La camera è spaziosa, doppia. Il netflix (necessita di controllare) e il porto USB, un grande letto confortevole viene gettato fuori dal muro. Le letti sono comodi, le matite non sono troppo morbide, ma sono comode per dormire, le mutandine sono anche eccellenti. Nel nicchio all'ingresso, la cucina è dotata di una lavatrice, forno elettrico, lavatrice, tavolo da tè, un gruppo di piatti e un ottimo frigorifero con un piccolo congelatore. Ci sono tutti i biscotti necessari: panini e panini, bottiglia di olio d'oliva, pepe salato, tè e caffè marmo. Il bagno è standard ma anche spazioso, c'è un fan. Il tubo è eccellente. La stanza è semplice ma elegante, tutto è pulito e pulito. Lampade con dimmer. La posizione dell'hotel è un successo. Da 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia, al centro della città a pochi chilometri. Letteralmente attraverso la casa c'è ”Migros” aperto fino a mezzanotte, così si può correre per cibo in pochi minuti. Il personale è il più positivo e benvenuto possibile. Pulizia una volta alla settimana, ma per un piccolo extra, si può ordinare qualsiasi giorno. Se hai bisogno delle spese (carte, carta da bagno, ecc.) puoi chiedere, tutto porterà. In generale, siamo stati soddisfatti degli appartamenti :) Dai lati, tranne che a volte la strada centrale rumorosa dietro la finestra, ma la camera da letto sul lato opposto della strada, e il rumore del sonno non impedisce. Sarebbe ancora bello aggiungere alcuni appetiti locali alla cucina, perché nelle negozi tutto è venduto con un imballaggio piuttosto grande.
