The hotel is exceptionally clean, which made a great first impression. The reception staff were not only professional but also very friendly and accommodating. They provided excellent recommendations for nearby attractions and eateries, and they went out of their way to guide us on how to get there. We especially appreciated their helpful directions to a well-known local restaurant. While the room itself was a bit smaller than we expected, it didn't detract from our overall experience. The coziness of the space actually added to the comfort of our stay, and we felt right at home. One of the highlights for me was the hotel slippers—they were incredibly soft, thick, and comfortable, offering a nice touch of luxury and relaxation. Another nice surprise was the hotel’s thoughtful gesture of providing free porridge in the evenings. After a long day of exploring, it was a warm and comforting treat to enjoy before bed. Additionally, the hotel is well-equipped with convenient amenities like washing machines and dryers, which is always a bonus when you're traveling for an extended period. For food lovers, it’s worth mentioning that the hotel is just a short walk from 新兴园饺子, a famous local dumpling restaurant. The proximity made it easy for us to enjoy some of the best dumplings in the area without having to travel far. Overall, the hotel provided a great balance of comfort, convenience, and service, making it a wonderful choice for anyone visiting the area.

Amazing hotel! Very clean, really nice and cozy rooms (a bit too warm though) and friendly staff. Breakfast was also really good. The location of the hotel is very nice too, it’s right next to the beautiful Beishan park.

One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. We had an excellent stay at this ski-in, ski-out hotel—it truly exceeded all expectations! The room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day on the slopes. The hotel offers a fantastic variety of food options, both within the property and nearby, making dining so convenient. This was our first ski trip in China, and the experience was surprisingly comparable to our ski holiday in Hokkaido—every detail was thoughtfully curated for an unforgettable stay. I can fully understand why this is an award-winning hotel, and I highly recommend it for a perfect ski vacation! Photos taken from the window of our room. Great stay for ski holiday in songhuahu, the breakfast is delicious, the hotel vibes is chill and relax, they provide free pick up and sent us to solomon lobby everyday. The airport bus stop right Infront of the hotel building. Many nearby restaurant with walking distance. The bar at 2nd floor is pretty, the band sing every night. I love the room, it is big and clean. They give all amenities, include toilet bowl cover. The did room cleaning every day and change towel. I would love to come back again. You could get discount to rent ski gear with them, the turtle and helmet is the best price.
