"Abbiamo avuto una bella permanenza in questo hotel e siamo stati molto impressionati sia dal servizio che dall'esperienza generale. Grazie speciali a Shengjing, il Direttore della Camera, per il servizio eccellente, tutto è stato ben organizzato, tempestivo e con grande cura, che ha reso il nostro soggiorno molto confortevole. La selezione di cibo è stata eccellente, la zona di cena è stata pulita e ben gestita, e il servizio è stato attento e professionale. Al divano frontale, Taozi, Damai e Huasheng hanno fornito un servizio eccezionale, che erano amichevoli, benvenuti e molto utili per tutta la nostra permanenza, sempre pronti a assistere con un sorriso e una grande efficienza. "The room in this hotel is the biggest room we have stayed in the trip in Northeast of China. The hotel is elegant. . The large room is equipped with modern lighting and electric curtain and also includes nice tea set. Breakfast is vast with many varieties of choices in the nice Japanese style restaurant. There is a concierge lady who helped guests arranging trip too. She is very friendly and supportive . What we like most is the ample space in the room that make us feel very comfortable. You can sip nice tea and be relaxed during the stay. We felt a bit sorry that we had only one day staying here because we really like this hotel. Even we stayed in Jilin only one day, we felt this hotel is very good hotel, and valued for money. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to all travellers who come to Jilin."

"Il personale era molto buono e mi ha aiutato a organizzare un veicolo privato per il resort Songhua. La stanza era annunciata come non fumante, ma ancora profumata di sigarette. Ashtray in camera. Questa era la parte più negativa del soggiorno. La doccia ha una grande pressione idrica, ma il drenaggio era molto lento, quindi si doveva essere attenti non ha superato l'acqua fuori dal doccia. "Abbiamo un caldo benvenuto dal personale dell'hotel (soprattutto da Eve) , erano grandi osservatori e ci offrono bevande, maschere, maschere oculari... quando sollevamo una questione, sono in grado di condividere soluzioni quasi immediatamente! La colazione è stata molto variabile, che si estendeva dall'ovest al locale. La dimensione delle camere era grande e le strutture erano le migliori tra tutti gli hotel che abbiamo soggiornato in Cina. Torneremo certamente di nuovo!"

"SONG JIANG BONANZA WINNING HOTEL — From Smoke Signals to Sacred Silence Arrival & First Sniff This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. "We had an excellent stay at this ski-in, ski-out hotel—it truly exceeded all expectations! The room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day on the slopes. The hotel offers a fantastic variety of food options, both within the property and nearby, making dining so convenient. This was our first ski trip in China, and the experience was surprisingly comparable to our ski holiday in Hokkaido—every detail was thoughtfully curated for an unforgettable stay. I can fully understand why this is an award-winning hotel, and I highly recommend it for a perfect ski vacation! Photos taken from the window of our room.
