Via messaggi di testo in WeChat (posso leggere e scrivere in cinese), ho chiesto al proprietario dell'inn come arrivare al suo inn prima di arrivare. Le sue risposte erano pronte. Apparentemente c'è un autobus locale che va all'hotel dalla stazione ferroviaria Jilin, ma il giorno della mia arrivo, il bus non era in servizio. Il proprietario dell'hotel ha organizzato un'auto per prendermi in piu'. Ci sono una varietà di cibo che può essere ordinato al cantina. Ho dormito molto bene sul letto semplice piano. The stay was amazing. Hotel staff were very helpful. We had a staff member allocated to us for any questions. We are non-chinese speaking travellers and we communicated with the staff through WeChat which was very efficient with the auto translate function. We had RAIN who was responsive and helped us with a lot of questions. RAIN also provided great dinner recommendations as well as arranging transportation Location is great, right next to the ski lifts and food hall The Onsen (Soup) included in the package has amazing facilities. Inside the onsen thouguh the soup temperature did not feel hot enough The food hall at the ski resort was very good as well, a great variety and value

One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. The location is very close to the train station, which made our arrival and departure extremely convenient and stress-free. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a nice place to rest after a long day of travel. Everything was well maintained, and the size of the room was a pleasant surprise. The reception counter staff were friendly and helpful. They kindly recommended a good restaurant nearby for our dinner and also helped us book a Didi, which made getting around very easy. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay with warm service. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a clean, well-located hotel near the Jilin train station.

Very homely and nice people. The owner brought us around in the morning to take the pictures of the rime. Away from the crowds and that was special enough. Saved the money without have to pay the entrance. Tickets as we went to other remote places. Can contact me if need more location help. The accommodation is basic. Bring your own towel as they don't provide. And bring your own toiletries too. Good place to bunk in for photography as it is in a village setting. Had the opportunity to witness a traditional wedding during my visit. Have a great time.

We had a wonderful stay at Keyiju Wula Culture Theme Hotel and were truly impressed by the unique cultural atmosphere. The hotel beautifully reflects traditional Wula heritage while offering modern comfort. The room was spacious, spotless, and perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable, and the peaceful environment made it easy for everyone to relax. The facilities are very family-friendly and convenient for those traveling with children. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. It was a perfect way to start each day and something our whole family really enjoyed. A special thank you to Xiao Rui for the exceptional service. Xiao Rui was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for families looking for comfort, culture, and warm hospitality. We would definitely stay here again!
