We stayed in a lake view room - which was lovely and spacious. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location near Grassmere - we would recommend walking to places from the hotel rather than driving as there is often traffic in Ambleside/near Windermere. There are lots of options for pubs/ walks/hikes nearby. At breakfast time there is a really great choice from the buffet as well as extra options you can order. The spa is really relaxing, we also had some treatments which I would highly recommend doing if you are able to. Our stay was admittedly more expensive than we would usually pay for accommodation but it was a special occasion and well worth it - if it is within your budget then I would highly recommend the Daffodil Hotel!

Came up for a meet up with friends for some walking on the surrounding fells. Arrived about four and the carpark was full and like an ice rink. Waited a few minutes and thankfully some day walkers on their last day came and took their cars away. Checked in and happily I was in the main house. The rest of the group was already there and so it was odd for drinks and food. It's been a few years since I've been to this hostel as my Wainwright journey has had me in different areas. Looks like the communal areas have had a fresh paint job which has brightened up the building. Had breakfast twice which was excellent. Made my own on the last morning and the smaller kitchen was in desperate need of a mixing bowl. Other than that no issues. All in all a great stay and I look forward to another visit in March. Hopefully room 7 is my room again on that visit.

Perfetto soggiorno. Prenotammo “Holly” una splendida stanza di pavimento, decorata e arredata con un comodo letto e una piccola tavola da pino e sedie. Veramente elegante moderna grande doccia. Non abbiamo mai preso il nostro cane per rimanere in alloggio prima, ma ci siamo sentiti comodi subito. Ci era abbastanza spazio per il suo letto e avremmo portato la nostra copertura di letto solo se saltasse sul nostro letto, ma ci erano le lamiere che erano pronte ad essere utilizzate per gli ospiti cani. Noi abbiamo il nostro soggiorno e sappiamo quanto pensiero e sforzo si sforzano di garantire che gli ospiti siano confortevoli e divertiti. Siamo stati molto benvenuti, è stato un piacevole e caldo, tranquillo e confortevole soggiorno e saremo sicuramente tornati! Come abbiamo sempre letto le recensioni precedenti e dobbiamo ammettere di avere un cucchiaio ai negativi per Lake View. Francamente, è a circa 2 minuti da un colazione più delizioso al Sport Inn. Vi consigliamo di prenotare una tavola in anticipo per un pasto serale per evitare dellusioni, facile da fare online. Il parcheggio è un parcheggio con la stanza che è brillante considerando quanto è a un premio nel villaggio. Fate uso della posizione anche per camminare, non sarete delusi.
