Some places are too good to be true, and some places are better than the too good they seem to begin with. It took me a while to get to The Sleep Factory, in several ways; being spoilt for choice for accommodation in Gladstone, and not needing to stay in any particular area, and all at good pricing. I checked the sites and The Sleep Factory came up quickly, and for good reason. I'd check others, go and come back, look at it again; it was too good to be true... I read some reviews, and there was some negative consensus, the rooms there were not as pictures, some rouse was in play to dupe and deceive? I checked Google Maps, and searched elsewhere, I had time, after all. The price was really good though, and when I came back looking at The Sleep Factory, I decided to upgrade my experience from the std motel style room to a 1 BR unit, which they advertised as having as well, and curiously, as I scrolled down the page of accommodation options, there were no shortage of them! Single rooms, Queen rooms, 1 BR units, family units, Villas of different sizes?! I checked Google Maps again, it didn't look anything special, but that's exactly what made it so good! Sitting almost submerged in tropical trees and greens, it's not easy to see exactly how big, diverse, and spaced out The Sleep Factory is, in its entirety... Once you see how large it is, and the variety of options of rooms and accommodation you have, you realise two things; The reviews are unfounded, those travellers simply have not picked the room they wanted for the room picture they saw. My 1 BR unit looked much better than the pictures would suggest - there is no subterfuge here. Secondly, it is not only a hidden gem, it's better than too good to be true. It's quiet, pet-friendly, clean, well serviced, friendly hosts, awesome internet (with Ethernet into my room!), great bedding, great bathrooms, great parking, easy access, great kitchen, space inside and outside so large; for the first time in my travels i was able to easily unpack my whole car, borrow buckets and hose to wash it. Store everything unpacked, easily in the huge unit floor space. I'm writing this review after having made my second booking to The Sleep Factory

Sono stato qui prima, ha il miglior sole, ma nel tempo la vista del parco è stata costruita. Grande posizione, le nuove riparazioni sono eccellenti, nessun tappeti tacchi e tutte le tessere di crisp... bagno grande, letti grandi... cuscini perfetti ... tutte le cose che un blocco vuole!!! Non menziono il tasso dato... Dirò solo che meritano di più per la stanza, ma il tasso di mercato per Queensland è le arachidi per questa qualità! Molte altre unità sono vuote! Grand motel, fresco e pulito!!

Estremamente pulito, letto comodo, bella doccia, tv, frigo e microonde in camera. Disponibilità di tostapane, ferro da stiro ecc su richiesta alla reception. Gratuito in loco parcheggio. Ci tornerei.

La camera era molto pulita e il letto era molto comodo. Quando arrivammo la ricezione era buia e la persona dietro il desk sembrava stare seduta nel buio per qualche motivo.ma sta lavorando rapidamente e in modo efficiente e siamo andati nelle nostre camere. Il prato era superficiale in tutto il terreno che faceva sembrare il posto intatto, ma tutto era ben pulito all’interno. L’aria condizionata nella mia stanza “112” non era molto efficace, ma potevo spostare il letto sotto il quale era accettabile. La camera sarebbe stata molto calda, la forza della testa del doccia era fantastica e la temperatura faceva doccia di piacere. E' triste vedere che il ristorante è andato come era stato uno dei migliori a Gladstone.

Nel dicembre 2021 abbiamo prenotato una camera per una famiglia di 4 persone, in viaggio per un vacanza in immersione di Heron Island. Anche se la camera era molto piccola per quattro persone, era sufficiente e buon valore considerato solo $90 per la notte. La stanza era aperta quando arrivammo e un tx ci ha detto che la chiave sarebbe stata all'interno. Non abbiamo visto nessuna squadra di motel durante il nostro soggiorno. La mattina dopo abbiamo lasciato la stanza aperta con la chiave all'interno, come di solito. Dopo la nostra vacanza abbiamo notato che il prelievo sulla nostra dichiarazione bancaria era $130 piuttosto che $90 come citato?? Ho e-mailato il motel chiedendo perché e un email inviato dal telefono di qualcuno leggendo (in verbatim): “Durante la pulizia c'erano mancanti pizzi fuori dalle stanze, quindi c'è stato un surcharge, Regaurds management”. Risposi per posta elettronica, affermando che non abbiamo preso nessuna pila, e che le nostre borse erano già completamente imballate con non solo vestiti, ma anche attrezzature per immergersi e regali di Natale. Inoltre, senza una macchina, avremmo dovuto portare i pezzi rubati nel taxi e sul traghetto per l'isola di Heron e indietro. Se le piastrelle fossero state mancate dalla stanza, forse erano state prese prima che arrivassimo, perché la stanza era stata lasciata aperta per noi. Le ho informate che ritengo molto poco professionale che un'impresa possa pagare un prezzo superiore al prezzo citato senza prima cercare una spiegazione della necessità di un onere supplementare, e che è poco scrupoloso per loro non informarci del onere supplementare. Ho commesso un'infrazione alla presunzione di furto e delle loro pratiche disoneste e ho chiesto un rimborso completo, altrimenti avrei postato su TripAdvisor. Non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta dal motel, né alla mia posta di follow-up una settimana dopo. Raccomanderò se dovete restare al pagamento di Rusty in contanti, poiché non possono essere fidati dei dettagli della vostra carta di credito.
