Gera hat man nicht wirklich als Reiseziel auf dem Schirm, aber man ist als Besucher sehr positiv über die Schönheit der alten, Reussischen Residenzstadt überrascht. Direkt an der Orangerie am sogenannten Küchengarten liegt das Mercure nur etwa 10 Minuten fußläufig zur Innenstadt mit Straßenbahnhaltestellecdirekt vor dem Haus. Das Mercure hat wunderbar ruhige Zimmer und hat ein ansprechendes, neuwertiges Mobiliar und ebensolche Badezimmer - leider mit Wanne, aber das hängt von der persönlichen Präferenz ab. Die schönen, aktuellen Holzfenster machen die Zimmer sehr wohnlich und der Schreibtisch ist auch groß genug für den Geschäftsreisenden. Dass die Amenities auf 3 Spender beschränkt sind ist ok für ein Haus der 3* Kategorie. Eine kleine Bar macht abends auf und macht Freude dank netter Bedienung, wie auch die Damen und Herren am Empfang und beim Frühstückbuffet auf Zack sind. Für mich zusammengefasst eine positive Überraschung und perfekt für Geschäftstermine zwischen Leipzig und Vogtland.

Wir hatten kurzfristig ein Wellness-Arrangement gebucht : ein Aufenthalt für 2 Nächte , im Komfortzimmer, Wellnesspaket und an jeden Abend 3 Gänge Menü. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen . In allen Bereichen trafen wir wirklich freundliche und aufgeschlossene Mitarbeiter an. Unser Zimmer war sauber, mit schönem großen Bad . Es war alles so toll hergerichtet mit lauter netten Kleinigkeiten, da fühlte man sich sofort willkommen geheißen. Das Restaurant und Bar waren modern und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Essen hat geschmeckt . Die Preise fanden wir angemessen. Die Cocktails an der Bar sind auch günstig , sie werden frisch vom Servicepersonal zubereitet , es sind keine vorgefertigtigen Mischungen. Der Wellnessbereich lädt zum Relaxen ein , denn dieser ist einem römischen Bad nachempfunden. Die gebuchten Massagen werden fachlich durchgeführt. Die Teilkörpermassage besteht aus Nacken/ Schulter/ Rücken / Arme und Bein/ - Behandlung. Vielen Dank , an die lieben Mitarbeiter.
