I paid 150 RMB for high tea today and although the product was creative and a bit fun I left hungry. My main issue however was the service. It appears there was no manager on duty because the staff were messing about on their mobile phones and I had to always ask them for things because they were focussed on chatting and their phones. It wasn’t 5 star at all and having managed hotels the service was actually appalling. I found a bit of plastic in one of the dishes and the staff member just took it from me and threw it in the bin. No acknowledgement. Then I was waiting in the lobby for my cab and I can hear front desk staff laughing and messing about. They were only interested in messing about. I feel cheated by todays experience and I hope they get manager back on duty soon because today it was not being managed at all

E' iniziato brutto. È entrato presto per lasciare il bagaglio e il tizio che ha fatto il check-in era freddo, in piedi, e non si è nemmeno disturbato a rispondere alle nostre piaceri. Quando siamo tornati, un malinteso è stato assicurato. Avevo un incontro precedente, ma grazie per la gentilezza di Suhaila (penso) e del suo manager - hanno scalato la situazione con grazia e plomb. Quel bump da parte, ho avuto un bel tempo. Ero nella stanza 213. Inizialmente ero preoccupato perché ho letto delle questioni di rumore che provengono dal club vicino alla porta, ma sia il club sia il suono sono stato chiuso, non c'erano disturbi. La stanza era bella, e la posizione è sorprendente. Questo hotel è altamente raccomandato. Basta non preoccuparti di pagare un colazione extra. Questo era solo troppo triste. L'abbiamo provato il nostro ultimo giorno in hotel, mentre andavamo presto all'aeroporto. Era vergognoso.

Si consiglia al barista Dexter e una piccola baracca di guancia vicino. Anche l'esterno è vicino al mare e ci sono alcune attrazioni che possono camminare con il vento del mare. La stanza è ben organizzata nel pianoforte al secondo piano della porta, il letto è molto spazioso e pulito e due piccole scatole sono facili da bere e da bere caffè e guardare il profumo degli uccelli esterni. Esatto, c'è spazio pubblico per leggere e bere caffè per fare il giro di tavolo, e la pioggia fuori può anche giocare con i tuoi amici. The hotel is good and clean, but the service of parking security is terrible, before we check in, one of the security was playing his phone and videocalling with his friend，so he didnt even notice our car，when he finally noticed us after my husband was leaving to check in first， he knocked our car heavily，and said this is not parking area，i said ok，just a second，he is checking in，the security was rolling his eyes and said it emphasisly again，asked me to move it and i dont even have driving license here. One minutes later ，my husband was back with room card，he checked and let us just parking right there！！ can not believe there are rude staff in this fancy hotel！ 这个酒店的保安无比地*****，我们车停在门口去checkin ，有一个印度保安当时在草丛里玩手机压根没看到我们，然后我老公刚离开座位，车引擎今年还开这，就听见有人猛敲我车窗，我吓一跳看见这个印度保安从草丛里跑出来手机不玩了，说这不是停车位，我说好的 等一分钟，他去checkin ，我们马上开走，他在那翻着白眼大声说这不是停车位！ 我说我没驾照，不然你来开。他一副高高在上的嘴脸，站在我车门口，然后等我老公出来拿着房卡，他一看是酒店的客人，就说把车摆正，等我们下车他赶紧跑远了。酒店平时都没有服务态度的培训吗，他都把自己当这酒店主人了

The white elevator is very unique to this elevator. Tho it was slow but I don’t mind bec it so chic with glass door. Very unique indeed! Love it though I wasn’t able to take pic. 😒 +++ white elevator, water refilling dispenser, very spacious room & bathroom +++ location was quite away from the main action but there are 2 bus stops nearby, komtar & chowrasta are 5-10mins walk +++ they provide dental kit, small soap, nice shampoo/conditioner & body wash, mugs, electric kettle, safe, ref, ac was functioning very well, room telephone, tv but i did not use it +++ free wifi was good —- reception is not very friendly except for 1 Indian guy who promptly answers whatsapp tho he mistaken me for a guy at first 😄, the chinese receptionist hardly smiles, indian lady seemed to not know anything when you ask about tourist spots (i think hotel people should equip themselves with some knowledge on tourism. I mean there should be basic orientation by management on this. Times had changed and you need to have these extra customer service, just suggesting). —- i was in the assumption that cleaning is daily but i was told every other day but i still need to remind them about it. Entire hotel can use some improvement in the cleaning — no closet inside the room, you just have to hang your stuff —- my view was a huge wall —- soundproofing is bad, very noisy when people close doors or children running around. You hear toilet flushing from nearby rooms —- it was raining when I arrive and nobody offered an umbrella except on the second day when the janitor heard me. That was appreciated very much. It also made me realize that umbrella is a weapon for solo travellers so that made the carrying a little easier —- towels smell mushy maybe bec of rainy season —- sometimes bathroom had some drainage smells —- food choices was a little limited in area unless you walk for like 5-10mins. Overall stay was still on the good side. I had way worst stays than this. I did enjoy my solo trip to Penang and would love to go back. I plan to stay next time near the street art areas where the actions are. I would still recommend le embassy to other travellers.

The staff are fantastic. Max, Fitri, Mehedi, Azad, Hidayah (and another nice young woman whose name I do not know) were so great during my stay there. The WiFi works well, there are plenty of places to eat in the area, I didn't smell anybody smoking (common in budget hotels). The only issue I had was with a loud guest, but it was Thaipusam week so it is likely not like that often. It's not a luxury hotel, but he staff perform like a luxury hotel staff.

We stayed with the Ascott group numerous times for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities around the world, and Citadines Connect Georgetown is no exception. The building is renovated from a historical building which gives the hotel a mixture of cultural and contemporary vibe. It's a 3-story newly-built hotel and everything you see is brand new and tidy. The lobby is not large, but there are plentiful spaces to rest for a while. The room we stayed in is Studio Executive, and it's clean enough. The air-conditioning system utilized a touch panel for you to easily adjust to your liking. There are no drinking bottles inside the room but a water dispenser is just in the hallway, both environment-friendly and convenient. One of the things worthy of notice is the tap water system, where hot and cold water may be installed conversely. The hotel itself is located around minutes walk from Komtar neighborhood, and you can easily take buses to the airport or to other areas of Penang via the Komtar terminal. Several malls are also in this area to give you the convenience of shopping. The well-known hawker food centre at Lebuh Presgrave crossroad is also close by, where you can easily grab most of the famous and delicious local dishes here. CAT bus station is also not far from the hotel, and you can tour the UNESCO sites with it for a day trip. Overall, it's an excellent choice to stay here for its brand-new facilities, and its convenience regarding transportation, shopping, and dining.

La posizione era facile da trovare, il processo di check-in era ben fatto e tutto era grande. Il ricevitore era molto amichevole, e la pulizia della stanza era buona. Io e il mio amico abbiamo prenotato lo stesso tipo di camera, ma abbiamo due disegni di camera diversi, aveva una camera più grande con un bagno più piccolo, e la mia era una toilette più grande, ma una camera più piccola. La mia camera è molto piccola e non c'è posto per il nostro bagaglio, ma la vista della mia stanza è solo il muro di un altro edificio, mentre la vista del mio amico è bella soprattutto di notte (posso vedere il bar e il camion al cibo in fondo). Suggerire di contattare il ricevitore per confermare la progettazione della stanza prima di prenotare. IVA il loro corridoio è stato super bello. In generale, altamente raccomandato e soddisfatto!

OPH room is clean and very small, almost like a square cube. A bed to sleep, a working table and a relatively spacious bathroom. Air-condition and water heater works really good. The bed, mattress, blanket, towel are rather tattered looking.No toileteries. No tissues provided. Thumbs up for being environmentally friendly. I strongly recommend this room for solo travellers who are on the move most of the time ! Otherwise, 2 or more will cause massive congestion

Molto corretto per il prezzo, non si può avere lusso pagando tre volte niente, ben posizionato, è di 2 stelle, la mia camera ”lusso” con grande letto dava sul retro quindi tranquillo, un po' sparita, a questo prezzo è normale, nessun frigo, cassaforte HS, Wifi bene, bagno con doccia, tutto molto pulito, bene per una o due notti.

The bed is comfortable. Toilet is clean. Service is friendly, prompt and good! Even though my room is the smallest but is spacious enough for mom and me. Can do yoga at room already. Only the water pressure is a bit low.
