Oud hotel, oude bedden. Geen gordijnen op de kamer, maar lamellen die niet meer sluiten. Erg gehorig, veel verkeerslawaai, ook met het raam dicht.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Eine neue, gute Adresse. Die Gegebenheiten sind von solider, gehobener Qualität, der Stil des Hotels entspricht heutigem Standard. Bemerkenswert gut funktionieren die Lifts, bemerkenswert zugewandt ist die gesamte Rezeption. Die Preise sind fair, bei sorgfältiger Wahl auch günstig. Nicht ganz so günstig erscheint die Anordnung der Frühstücksräume. Ein großer Vorzug ist es dagegen, dass es im Haus einen Durchgang zu einem Fitness-Studio und einer Bar gibt, wo man auch spätabends und nachts noch Getränke findet, und obendrein auch den einen oder anderen Bissen. The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

L'IntercityHotel Essen è situato in una posizione relativamente vicina alla stazione principale, alla uscita della Piazza Willy Brandt o alla City West), tempo di cammino 3-5 minuti). Il centro di Essen, con molti ristoranti diversi, è a piedi in pochi minuti e può essere facilmente rinunciato alla macchina attraverso la vicinanza alla stazione ferroviaria e quindi alla VPN. In linea di principio, IntercityHotel è un buon indirizzo per viaggi di business

Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet auch mal etwas weg vom typischen Zimmer. Mein Zimmer hatte separate WC und Dusche, sehr angenehm. kleines Manco , ein vergessener Gegendstand 4 Stunden nach dem CA, war angeblich nicht im Zimmer auffindbar, was schade ist. So klein war er nicht. Betten auch sehr bequem, alles in allem sehrvgutes Hotel.

Ambiente: buono, proprio accanto alla palestra, partecipare alla prima selezione qui. Istruzioni: Pensi che non ci sia bisogno di avere qui, come i prodotti sessuali come i pannolini per denti, sono tutti da chiedere per fornire, e sono felice che abbia la mia auto. Il servizio di accesso a ristoranti è molto comune, è meglio andare fuori a mangiare. Dietro c'è un parco pagato, il paesaggio è molto bello. Servizio: l'hotel dovrebbe avere un livello, non c'e' niente da fare.

The hotel is dated but has in essence all you need. Nevertheless, what you pay is not worth what you get. They still navigate in that ”corona-excuses-cloud” trying to use that for every shortcoming. Lots of discussions with staff about basic no-brainer items. Not worth listing them all here as the overall experience is just annoying. Sheraton in Germany needs to get their act back together fast - that business model is likely not going to fly for long by just hiring interns, juniors and trainees (out of which some do not understand only basic German, English, Spanish, French, Italian) and asking the customer to pay a premium for such poor service. One good thing to point out: the Lounge happy hour that got moved to their Restaurant (as the Lounge is closed - Corona). Getting the building back up to speed, small refurbishment needed, and appointing a minimal level of trained staff would give a different picture.
