The hotel is dated but has in essence all you need. Nevertheless, what you pay is not worth what you get. They still navigate in that ”corona-excuses-cloud” trying to use that for every shortcoming. Lots of discussions with staff about basic no-brainer items. Not worth listing them all here as the overall experience is just annoying. Sheraton in Germany needs to get their act back together fast - that business model is likely not going to fly for long by just hiring interns, juniors and trainees (out of which some do not understand only basic German, English, Spanish, French, Italian) and asking the customer to pay a premium for such poor service. One good thing to point out: the Lounge happy hour that got moved to their Restaurant (as the Lounge is closed - Corona). Getting the building back up to speed, small refurbishment needed, and appointing a minimal level of trained staff would give a different picture.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Wow. Che viaggio è stato alla Convenzione di Essen Spiel. E che ottimo hotel abbiamo avuto la fortuna di prenotare una stanza. Tutto era di prima vista. Ci è stato dato una stanza sul secondo piano, proprio sul lift, nella stanza 226. E' stato davvero molto conveniente, perché per il suono, le finestre erano sempre chiuse, e io sono un fumatore, così mi rendeva facile il viaggio fuori nella zona di fumo. Tutto nella stanza era dove doveva essere. Molte socce per inserire la nostra elettronica, un ufficio per mettere le cose della nostra convenzione e fare i nostri piani per il giorno successivo. La pressione dell'acqua si è verificata nel doccia, tutto in un sapone è stato fornito naturalmente in un dispenser e riempito quotidianamente. La pulizia della stanza è stata effettuata con grande precisione al mattino e la gente era gentile e attenta quando ci siamo accorti di sbatterli. Il personale che abbiamo attraversato era molto bello e gentile, anche se li stavamo sempre affrontando con cose irritanti e triviali. Senti, se ne sono andati, non sono riusciti a farli uscire da noi. Penso che abbiamo provato i limiti della loro pazienza. Nonostante tutti i nostri sforzi migliori - o peggiori - ma in modo involontario - per farli uscire, non hanno nemmeno perso il sorriso. Grande lavoro, tutti! La cerimonia in cima era la decisione dell’hotel di aprire una grande stanza piena di tavoli e sedie per i partecipanti del Spiel di passare la notte una volta che il giorno dell’esposizione era finito. Sono ansioso di tornare alla conferenza l'anno prossimo, e sono sicuro che prenoterò una stanza in questo hotel accanto ai miei biglietti per il volo e la conferenza.

Eine neue, gute Adresse. Die Gegebenheiten sind von solider, gehobener Qualität, der Stil des Hotels entspricht heutigem Standard. Bemerkenswert gut funktionieren die Lifts, bemerkenswert zugewandt ist die gesamte Rezeption. Die Preise sind fair, bei sorgfältiger Wahl auch günstig. Nicht ganz so günstig erscheint die Anordnung der Frühstücksräume. Ein großer Vorzug ist es dagegen, dass es im Haus einen Durchgang zu einem Fitness-Studio und einer Bar gibt, wo man auch spätabends und nachts noch Getränke findet, und obendrein auch den einen oder anderen Bissen. I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

The hotel is centrally located, near the city center and the main train station. The reception was very friendly and efficient. The room was standard and clean. There was a safe large enough for a laptop. The bed was comfortable. The view was, well, standard, but for a few nights this is not important. The bathroom was clean and modern, no frills but nothing missing either for the hotel category and price. Water pressure and temperature in the shower good. I was facing the back, so heard absolutely nothing, very quiet and good sleep. The room was a bit warm, but turning down the heating worked. The could send up an iron and board to the room, no problem. I did not try the restaurant nor the breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Essen, either private or business.

Ho passato più notti in prima classe che ricordo. Li ho usati nel Regno Unito per anni. Sono tutti molto gli stessi (Zip e Hub fuori di sé) di cui mi piace anche. L'offerta tedesca è destinata ad una bella qualità leggermente superiore o ad essere appena più recente. Qualunque, le camere sono belle. Ma.. Ho soggiornato all'hotel di Essen prima e i letti non erano grandi allora e non sembrano essere stati sostituiti nell'ultimo anno. Il risultato è (il mio 2p) che i letti sono troppo morbidi e quando io sono seduto su di loro, le sorgenti fuori e posso sentire la base. Non è molto meglio quando cerco di dormire. Questo è un po' strano, perché i primi inn di Gran Bretagna sono eccellenti, al punto in cui ho pensato di comprare uno dello stesso tipo di materassi/letti per casa. Il fine settimana, la TV era rotta nella prima stanza, e si chiedeva di muoversi perché il letto era incastrato. Quando sono arrivato alla terza stanza, mi vergognavo di chiedere di muovermi di nuovo, ma il letto non è limitato a una stanza. In generale, un soggiorno medio ma i letti significano che probabilmente andrò a Dortmund e Mercure la prossima volta.

Sono stato lì per una notte in relazione a un soggiorno di sera nella Filarmonia Food. La ricezione alla reception era amichevole (la stanza era stata prenota sul sito dell'hotel su Internet). La camera singola relativamente tranquilla è andata dietro. Le attrezzature erano facili rispetto allo standard stellare dell'hotel, ma tutto molto pulito incluso doccia/WC. Il WiFi disponibile era piuttosto lento. Le pareti/coperte sono relativamente luminose, si sentono doccia nei vicini al mattino. Il colazione molto conveniente aveva tutto il materiale in offerta: pane lucido, diversi tipi di pane, caffè, div. Succhi di salsa e formaggio, succhi, marmellate, burro, ecc. È consigliabile anche tenendo conto del basso prezzo.

Ich war der Meinung, dass ich zwei Nächte gebucht hatte zu einem Preis von 198.-. Leider stellte sich dann heraus, dass dies nur der Preis für eine Nacht war, das das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis noch schlechter dastehen lässt. Das Zimmer wie auch das Bad waren schon für eine Person viel zu klein, aber immerhin war alles sauber. Leider schloss die Tür zur Dusche nicht korrekt, so dass nach dem Duschen das Bad unter Wasser stand. Die Lage des Hotels ist topp, wenige Gehminuten zum Bahnhof und zur Innenstadt, die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Aber leider dennoch viel zu teuer.

Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet auch mal etwas weg vom typischen Zimmer. Mein Zimmer hatte separate WC und Dusche, sehr angenehm. kleines Manco , ein vergessener Gegendstand 4 Stunden nach dem CA, war angeblich nicht im Zimmer auffindbar, was schade ist. So klein war er nicht. Betten auch sehr bequem, alles in allem sehrvgutes Hotel.

Abbiamo scelto l'hotel perché volevamo il mercato di Natale . L'hotel è super centrale , e il centro è a piedi raggiungibile . Abbiamo ricevuto una stanza alla corte , che nonostante la posizione era super tranquillo . Il personale al check-in e check-out era super amichevole e molto utile . In generale abbiamo avuto un ottimo soggiorno
