After reading some of the reviews before staying at this hotel I have to say I'm not surprised. I totally agree with the comments that this is not a true 5 star hotel at all. The positives are the location, the pool area and the rooms (to an extent). From one way its only a short walk to the medina and from the other it's a short walk to the beach bars. The pool area is well maintained and very attracting. The rooms are a good size with comfy bed and powerful shower and they are very clean. However, we started off by having to change rooms as the room we were first given had a chipped bath - all the paint had come up off the bottom of the bath so it was unusable, the staff solved this pretty quickly by offering us a room of the same standard one floor above. Nevertheless, I find it shocking that a 5 star hotel would not maintain their rooms in the first place. We found the cleaning staff and concierges very friendly. Some of the breakfast staff and beach staff, less so. One day we sat on the beach beds and felt looked down on and were not treated as well as some of the other guests. This really put us off and prevented us using this area again. Not sure if this is because we are a younger/mixed couple? Overall, the hotel is lacking in a lot of areas and the Accor group need to look into this. I would definitely visit Essaouira again but would probably rent an apartment since the beach and medina have so many options anyway!

Abbiamo avuto solo una notte per soggiornare a Essaouira e abbiamo decisamente fatto una scelta meravigliosa - Villa Marocco è molto unica e così deliziosamente decorata - le camere sono spaziali e tutti molto elegante - ogni camera è in uno dei quattro riad interconnessi e l'intero luogo esula il fascino e la tranquillità. Siamo stati fortunati che Fatima ci ha mostrato alcune delle camere e ..... wow ..... quanto erano tutte bellissime. - la vista dal tetto è spettacolare, vista sulla baia. Siamo stati molto benvenuti e il personale ti fa sentire come se fossi una famiglia - niente era troppo difficile. A notte il posto è così bello - abbiamo cenato lì e i luoghi comuni sono candeleli che dà al posto un'atmosfera così rilassante - anche il fuoco è stato accennato nella zona del bar accogliente - rimarremo certamente lì e saremmo profondamente Siamo un paio di persone del Regno Unito.

Non credo di aver avuto una migliore prima impressione di un hotel. Una volta che entrate, sembra un palazzo. Poi la nostra stanza ci ha appena buttato via. Non solo grande, ma anche bellamente designato; ovunque si guarda è un mosaico, bellissime colori, formiche sorprendenti, solo stupenda. La posizione è anche fantastica. all'interno della medina significa solo pochi minuti a piedi alla piazza principale e alle calze. Oppure, se vuoi la spiaggia, è a circa cinque minuti a piedi da alcuni bellissimi punti dell'oceano. Un grande colazione è servito nell'atrio o, come preferiremmo, sulla terrazza del tetto, con splendide viste. Non esitaremmo a raccomandare il Mumtaz Mahal.

A absolutely amazing experience. What a beautiful hotel! What lovely people! We met the fantastic owner Helen, her warm and kind manager Mina, Albie, Hamza in the restaurant. It's like a big family and we felt sad leaving! The design is STUNNING. Every room is special and the beds are incredibly comfy for a good nights' sleep. The team are wonderful in helping you organise transfers, surf lessons, restaurant recommendations. On my birthday they gave me flowers and the entire restaurant sang to me which made me feel so special! They also have a live band playing upstairs and people from all over come to eat in the restaurant so it really is the place to be at night as well.

Arrived Thursday 6th July and was given by Omar the choice of 2 rooms both seemed great to me but we chose room 6 that was very Moroccan with large windows looking into the unique centre of the property. Omar along with Mango and the other staff were so helpful always available whether at breakfast , to suggest a Hammam, directions to a restaurant or anything ! The Riad was located close to the city walls from where at sunset you get the most amazing views and it is very well located in the Medina to all the hustle and bustle and only 10 mins away from the outside gates and any taxis needed to travel elsewhere. We loved our stay and would most definitely come again and we loved Essaouira

Volevo essere a Essaouira per celebrare il mio 40° compleanno, come uno dei miei luoghi preferiti, e non potevamo scegliere un Riad migliore per farlo. Non posso davvero raccomandare questo Riad abbastanza. I proprietari sono alcuni dei più carini che abbia mai incontrato e quando ho ricevuto notizie distruttive, sono stati così meravigliosi e gentili e sarò sempre loro grato. La vista dalla terrazza è incantevole e il colazione è stato eccellente - vorrei davvero che avessimo cena qui, perché il menu sembrava delizioso, e se il colazione fosse qualcosa da andare da allora so che sarà buono! Le camere erano stupende. Tutto era decorato con gusto e si poteva dire che un sacco di pensieri erano entrati in ogni singolo camera. Sei un po' abbagliante in quello che chiamo Little Souk Street (non è proprio quello che chiamo!) e solo una strada lontana da quello che chiamo Big Souk Street (non è ovviamente neanche quello! ) è solo a circa 10 minuti a piedi al porto e si trova molto vicino a alcuni ristoranti fantastici. Tornerò a Essaouira e non esitarò a prenotare Villa Garance - mi sentivo come una casa lontana da casa. Grazie mille per tutto. Mandare a voi e alla vostra famiglia

What a beautiful Riad, everyone has been super friendly, helpful , knowledgeable and smiling. The hotel is lovely and clean, nothing is too much trouble. The reception staff go above and beyond to help and the lady that serves breakfast is always lovely with a good selection of food every day. Always welcomed with a smile. The Riad is very centrally located in the median and a 5 minute walk to either the port or beautiful sandy beach. Definitely recommend

Riad Emotion è un luogo fantastico per stare a Essaouira. La luce colpisce perfettamente questa riad, come l'aria fresca e il sole della città eolica vi si infila. L'ingresso, le camere e la terrazza del tetto non potevano essere più tranquilli. Proprio dalla medina, ma ancora abbastanza vicino all'azione. Tutti hanno detto che siamo stati abbastanza fortunati a viaggiare in Marocco nel maggio dopo aver ricevuto il vaccino e mentre ancora molto era bloccato, hanno accolto le armi. Non si può raccomandare Riad Emotion abbastanza! Riad Emotion è un luogo incredibile per soggiornare a Essouira. La luce colpisce perfettamente questo riad mentre l'aria fresca e il sole della città del vento vi invadono. L'ingresso, le camere e la terrazza sul tetto non potrebbero essere più tranquilli. Già accanto alla medica, ma ancora abbastanza vicino all'azione, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di viaggiare in Marocco nel maggio dopo aver ricevuto il vaccino e, mentre molti erano ancora bloccati, hanno accolto le armi. Non posso consigliare troppo Riad Emotion!

Jan & Jo si trovava a Riad Al Madina nel settembre. Un meraviglioso, tradizionale Riad marocchino che è benvenuto, confortevole e ha un personale molto carino e utile. Situate all'interno della Medina, le strade circostanti sono affascinanti e interessanti, con tanta esperienza da vedere e fare tutto il tempo. Ci sono un'ampia scelta di posti per mangiare o ottenere rinfrescamenti molto vicini, da dove si può guardare la vita in Essaouria. Siamo stati felici con le nostre camere, che erano pulite, comode e interessanti. Ci sono stati colazione ogni giorno e ci sono stati anche dei pasti di notte deliziosi, e talvolta abbiamo avuto un bicchiere di vino mentre guardavamo il cielo notturno dal cortile centrale aperto. Grazie a tutti i membri del personale che non dimenticheremo mai di essere così amichevoli, utili ed efficienti – un grande team!Grazie speciali a due dei catering team, Zach e Yosef, che erano così gentili e cari durante le ore successive al terremoto. Raccomanda molto questo Riad!
