We were able to upgrade to a suite which was lovely. There was a great view of the sports park and the CBD. The bathroom is very large although quite exposed (it has a glass wall on one side so you must turn on a switch to obscure it. The mirror above the two sinks has the worst possible lighting we've ever experienced in a hotel--so bad we had to walk into the bedroom to find better light--even just to brush our hair. The climate control is integrated into the lightswitch arrangement on the wall so that took some learning. The AC could not keep up with the sun load in the afternoon unless you closed the curtains. The bed and room appointments were very nice. There are plenty of power outlets. The breakfast buffet was really good although the coffee maker needs some directions on how to use it. The location is across the street from a park and a nice walk to the CBD. The room was very quiet. The staff was particularly helpful, and we must commend Concierge Andy for all of his help.

Il letto era duro e non comodo, la parte superiore della coperta era sottile come un cappello di lana; il bagno era piccolo e quasi inutile, colpendo il mio volto sullo specchio quando cercavo di lavarlo, o di lavarlo la bocca. Si tratta di una difetta di progettazione e la stanza avrebbe dovuto permettere un maggior spazio dedicato al bagno, perché sarebbe pratico, non c'era nemmeno un contenitore utile per applicare la maquillatura o per immagazzinare prodotti igienici personali. Il minibar era bello, ma non tutti bevono alcol, quindi un minibar non alcolico sarebbe stato più apprezzato e più economico ai costi dell'hotel, un'opzione di scegliere sarebbe stata bello. Non sono andato all'ora felice, non ho scelto di prendere il colazione sulla grappa e andare. Se rimango ancora, no. Per il costo, il comfort e la posizione, non lo merita, a mio parere.

Quando arrivai a circa 5:00, non ho partecipato alla ricezione, ma dopo una chiamata telefonica veloce, mi sono rivolto a un luogo sicuro dove si trovavano la chiave e le informazioni della stanza. La stanza era di base ma pulita e con microonde, caldaia, tostapane e utensili di base per 3 persone. OK per un breve soggiorno. Le cieche della finestra lasciano molto luce, così in estate si sarebbe svegliato molto presto 😭. La ricezione non è stata assunta quando sono andato alle 9:00, quindi ho lasciato la chiave nella stanza. L'unica mia denuncia erano gli ospiti rumore/argomentazione in una stanza vicina, ma non è colpa della direzione. Mi fermerò ancora una volta, perché soddisfa i miei requisiti di ragionevolmente economico e vicino al mio ufficio.

Started out a little cold from the receptionist but suddenly became very helpful and obliging assisting us upstairs to our room with our bags. She also suggested getting help from staff with our bags when checking out in 2 days. The room was compact but comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. The ensuite bathroom was huge with a great shower, the only downside was the size of the towels. Very clean. Very quiet. Downstairs was a large sitting room with a big screen t.v. If you didn’t want to watch the one in your room. Included in the price was a full breakfast in the dining room from 8a.m. The full range cooked from the kitchen. Decor was back to the early 60’s but everything was clean, neat and tidy. Staff were obliging and helpful. Will definitely stay here again but this time ask for a downstairs room as there are no lifts.

This place was close to The MCG and ideal for us. We wanted free parking for 10 days and this was provided by a refunded permit. Gary at reception was friendly and helpful. On-site coin operated laundry was clean and worked well. Our room was basic and quiet with a very comfortable king bed. Rooms were scrupulously clean although the bathroom needed an exhaust fan and better water pressure in the shower but room cleaning service was available daily. Decor could have been a little better but for the price we’re happy to stay there again.

Grande posizione, facile passeggiata a Bridge Road. La stanza era pulita, il letto era comodo. La mia domanda era il parcheggio. Parcheggio limitato sul sito e si deve prenotare. Non c'è possibilità di trovare un posto nella zona locale, perché è un parcheggio permesso o un limite di 1 ora. Potresti avere fortuna dopo le 630pm. Ho dovuto parcheggiare circa 10 minuti a piedi in una strada residenziale che aveva parcheggio gratuito dopo le 6 pm. We were able to upgrade to a suite which was lovely. There was a great view of the sports park and the CBD. The bathroom is very large although quite exposed (it has a glass wall on one side so you must turn on a switch to obscure it. The mirror above the two sinks has the worst possible lighting we've ever experienced in a hotel--so bad we had to walk into the bedroom to find better light--even just to brush our hair. The climate control is integrated into the lightswitch arrangement on the wall so that took some learning. The AC could not keep up with the sun load in the afternoon unless you closed the curtains. The bed and room appointments were very nice. There are plenty of power outlets. The breakfast buffet was really good although the coffee maker needs some directions on how to use it. The location is across the street from a park and a nice walk to the CBD. The room was very quiet. The staff was particularly helpful, and we must commend Concierge Andy for all of his help.

This place was close to The MCG and ideal for us. We wanted free parking for 10 days and this was provided by a refunded permit. Gary at reception was friendly and helpful. On-site coin operated laundry was clean and worked well. Our room was basic and quiet with a very comfortable king bed. Rooms were scrupulously clean although the bathroom needed an exhaust fan and better water pressure in the shower but room cleaning service was available daily. Decor could have been a little better but for the price we’re happy to stay there again.

Started out a little cold from the receptionist but suddenly became very helpful and obliging assisting us upstairs to our room with our bags. She also suggested getting help from staff with our bags when checking out in 2 days. The room was compact but comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. The ensuite bathroom was huge with a great shower, the only downside was the size of the towels. Very clean. Very quiet. Downstairs was a large sitting room with a big screen t.v. If you didn’t want to watch the one in your room. Included in the price was a full breakfast in the dining room from 8a.m. The full range cooked from the kitchen. Decor was back to the early 60’s but everything was clean, neat and tidy. Staff were obliging and helpful. Will definitely stay here again but this time ask for a downstairs room as there are no lifts.

Questo hotel classico è tutto quello che si può desiderare e aspettare. Il personale è favoloso, sempre utile e relativo. La stanza che avevamo era incredibile - un foyer d'ingresso, bagno separato, grande camera da letto e cammino-in-cabina con minibar; più una suite che semplicemente una stanza. Il mobilio e la decorazione della nostra suite e di tutto l'hotel sono adeguatamente del periodo, senza essere preziosi o stufa. Abbiamo avuto una piastra di azioni nel bar dei cricket che era molto buona in qualità e valore e il nostro colazione stamattina è stato magnifico e magnificamente presentato da un grande personale - tranquillamente efficiente. Vi consigliamo di prendere il tempo di andare a guardare tutte le opere d'arte e forse potremmo vedervi la prossima volta che rimaniamo; certamente torneremo.

Il fine settimana è stato a Melbourne e abbiamo dovuto aspettare un po' per entrare. Il check-in è stato alle 3:00, ma siamo riusciti a raggiungere la nostra stanza solo dopo aver aspettato circa 1-1.5 ore al lobby. È stato bello offrire champagne a tutti gli ospiti che aspettavano nel lobby, ma anche doverci dare un'altra stanza (un po' di gradimento dal livello 9 al livello 8 in direzioni diverse) perché la nostra stanza non era pronta. Il portatore, Oscar, era molto utile e amichevole; quando siamo arrivati in camera, c’era un letto extra, e ci ha aiutato a spostare il letto e tutto a tornare dove doveva essere efficace. La stanza era pulita ma ci erano solo 2 pizzi (supposti 4) sul letto. Called reception to get more pizzi but got told that they will try to source some as they’re running low on pizzic at the time :/ Kind of unbelievable for a 5-star hotel. Inoltre, dopo ho scoperto che la cortina elettrica nel bagno non funzionava e la luce notturna moriva e stava sfogliando. Non c'erano bevande o snacks molli al minibar, quindi se si vuole qualcosa di semplice da bere o mangiare alla notte, si dovrà ordinare servizio in camera + una commissione di consegna di $8. In generale, la posizione è fantastica, molto vicino ai negozi e ristoranti che volevamo andare. L'hotel è molto fondamentale per un hotel 5 stelle - non c'è macchina da caffè, capelli più puliti disponibili per noleggio o piatti più fermi per l'uso. Dopo aver detto che, la posizione batte davvero tutto e probabilmente lo riservero' quando viaggiero' a Melbourne la prossima volta.

The Deluxe room we were allocated was possibly the worst view you could get for the most expensive price you could pay. We were allocated a room ( 210) directly opposite the lifts and in the room out view consisted of overlooking a persons apartment and as they were having drinks on the balcony and we were maybe 2metres away from that building there was zero privacy . The curtains were very fine materiel so in order to have some distance between us and them we were forced to keep the heavy drapes closed all day and night . This made the small room very claustrophobic, the windows don’t appear to be doubled glazed so on the lower levels you can hear the bins being emptied and the general rough and tumble of the lower laneways and the residents in the adjacent building having late night drinks . When we enquired about moving rooms we were offered a room two doors down . The annoying thing was they said they were fully booked so there was no rooms on higher floors we could move too . A quick check on Wotif revealed that there were actually rooms available that you could book so there were vacancies , but l guess it was better to hold them open to get top dollar rather than to accommodate current guests who’d paid upfront 2months prior . I would have moved current guests who had a legitimate concern if it had been me making the decision as a gesture of support, but l guess they weren’t to concerned because we’d paid already but that type of contempt for guests who chose to stay in good faith wears thin . Not a pleasant stay wouldn’t recommend and will be happy for a refund !

Quando arrivai a circa 5:00, non ho partecipato alla ricezione, ma dopo una chiamata telefonica veloce, mi sono rivolto a un luogo sicuro dove si trovavano la chiave e le informazioni della stanza. La stanza era di base ma pulita e con microonde, caldaia, tostapane e utensili di base per 3 persone. OK per un breve soggiorno. Le cieche della finestra lasciano molto luce, così in estate si sarebbe svegliato molto presto 😭. La ricezione non è stata assunta quando sono andato alle 9:00, quindi ho lasciato la chiave nella stanza. L'unica mia denuncia erano gli ospiti rumore/argomentazione in una stanza vicina, ma non è colpa della direzione. Mi fermerò ancora una volta, perché soddisfa i miei requisiti di ragionevolmente economico e vicino al mio ufficio.
