I stayed here at the Starlight Resort from October to December and it was great. The girls running the place were very easy going, accommodating, friendly and kind. It’s about a 5 min walk to the beach and the port. It’s right across from the market where there is multiple bbqs every night with lots of food and karaoke. Overall great location. My room was comfortable and the ac worked although the tv did not work. The wifi was iffy at times as it’s a small island with poor connection to begin with so it was expected. I enjoyed my time here and loved hanging out with their family kitten Yumi. I was happy with my stay and would recommend it to anyone! :)

Il personale è utile e lieto. Hanno organizzato il mio viaggio di giorno per l'isola di Kalanggaman. Ho prenotato una suite deluxe da regina con tre mesi di anticipo e fu assegnata la camera 2 dove dal balcone si guardava giu' la spiaggia di Bounty. La stanza era spaziosa, l’antica unità di aria condizionata sul muro funzionava bene e l’illuminazione era sufficiente. È stato sufficiente spazio per la maniglia e la pendenza. La dimensione del bagno era compatto e descritto come una stanza bagnata. La pressione dell'acqua era decente e l'acqua era calda come volete. Ho portato all'attenzione della ricezione il mio ultimo giorno che la mia prenotazione online comprendeva un frigo, ma la mia stanza non ne aveva una. Non era un'operazione per me, ma la ricezione, a loro credito, mi ha dato un sconto nella mia stanza, che è stato apprezzato; il resort era in colpa, ma è sempre buono quando un hotel è proattivo nel fornire compensazioni. C'erano scelte dal menu del colazione, ma ero più che felice con l'omelette che era servita. Non bevo caffè o tè e di solito puoi ordinare succo, ma qui ho dovuto pagare un'ulteriore fornitura di succo. Forse una questione di gestione (discriminazione) dovrebbe essere affrontata. We specifically visited Malapascua to dive with the thresher sharks — which was outstanding — but we were pleasantly rewarded with an amazing stay at Ocean Vida. The staff, food, bar, room, and dive center were all excellent and it was one of the highlights of our travels in the Philippines. Our fabulous bartender, Grace, was a true standout. The level of service and friendship was amazing, not to mention the best cocktails we’ve had in our month in the Philippines. We have no hesitation recommending a stay at Ocean Vida to any divers out there. PS - did we mention diving with the thresher sharks was an incredible experience? Don’t hesitate - book.

The exotic resort is nice and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was fine but pretty basic for the amount paid, there was an additional charge to have water in the room. The food was really good and they also had their own pizza oven which was great! Dive centre resort was super nice, they were very helpful and ran dives in very small groups. The thresher shark dives are amazing but are pretty far from the island. Finally the beach… there was rubbish all over the beach including plastic, bottles, can and glass. The locals and the staff didn’t seem bothered about the rubbish at all and it meant that not many people were leaving the hotel to visit the local village. If they cleaned up the island it could be great for diving tourist but at the moment I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.
