Hotel in zona Waterfall and Dam, Città del Capo

Overall a good experience at the hotel. Was greeted promptly by a staff member. Got a good room on the highest floor and the hotel was smelling of Indian spices (what a great way to start off). It was the slow season so two of the three elevators were operating. Did not wait that long. The rooms were small. Would recommend only staying about three nights. Great for people traveling business. Breakfast was good and had good seats. Wasn't crowded and did not need to come at a specific time. Laptop vault worked. The adapters did not. Luckily I got some Euro plugs which actually worked in the bathroom area (no where else). There is a USB port by the bed but those are not that quick. Wifi was good in the room but not that good in the lobby. I slept comfortably and it was quiet. Easy to get Uber. Would stay again (if I am on a short business trip). Tip: Do not exchange money at the lobby UNLESS it is an emergency. Also, know where you go and do not look lost.

Room and especially the bathroom were small but adequate for a few nights. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was good with many options and an omelet station. There is a market that sets up every day in the square directly across from the hotel, however, this was not an issue. Our room did not overlook the square but overlooked rooftops. The bottom half of the window was frosted to block the rooftops. The rooftop pool and pool area is small. The location is the best reason to stay here. With your back to the market, walk down Longmarket or Shortmarket street to catch the Hop on Hop Off bus on Long street or continue to Bree Street for restaurant options including Hacienda (Mexican obviously), Burger & Lobster (limited but excellent menu and great bar). SCAM One evening, when we were heading to Bree Street, we were stopped by a gentleman with a security lanyard telling us the street ahead was closed because they were filming a movie. We could pass if we scanned a credit card into a wall mounted device. No charge but they need our names to protect the filming equipment. We declined and went up another street to the restaurant. Road not blocked, no filming equipment. We were glad we were suspicious. Amazing how you could be duped by a security lanyard.

La posizione era un po' lontana dall'oceano e dai ristoranti e altri divertimenti, ma altrimenti era OK il servizio per la pulizia della stanza era buono ma all'entrata non ho ricevuto alcun aiuto con i miei bagagli forse perché erano troppo piccoli. bags but some assistant would’ve still been nice the food was OK not a lot of variety but OK the room was also fine the bathroom was OK it’s a nice place for a short trip if the business you want to do it within the area it is too far from everything else e costerà molto in trasporto per arrivare alla spiaggia e a posti con divertimento

Posizione 💯 Servizio 💯 Pulizia 💯 Lo spazio nella stanza era limitato. Mio fratello e io saltamo a letto solo per arrivare a 🤦‍♀️Un'altra limitazione è stata la tavola nel ristorante, abbiamo provato a sedere nella zona del bar, ma tutto è quasi caduto su di me perché è instabile e non sicura al fondo della marmellata. Grande concetto, molto pericoloso! In generale, è stato buono per un viaggio veloce e la vista dalle piscine è epica!

Il soggiorno era brillante .... Non posso lamentarmi di niente ... Amichevole personale e grande servizio dal momento in cui cammini fino al momento in cui lascia ..... La disponibilità del personale che è nelle stanze per aiutarti è grande ... Non che sia mai venuto a questo punto ... Dove doveva contattarli tardi nite ... Servizio brillante che è certamente il mio nuovo punto di uscita da casa.

We where here in the middle of building renovations with lots of noice from early morning till late afternoon. Dust in our passage to the room. I couldn’t make a proper ZOOM meeting as the noice of drilling and banging of hammers was unpleasant. When I called to ask for info the lady told me that renovations would start end of May!! Now pay the full amount for our room to be part of these renovations. On the website there is NO WARNING ⚠️ about this. Renovations wil continue until end of 2023 as confirmed by front manager this afternoon.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this hostel, from check-in to check-out. The rooms are dirty, and messy, power outlets so loose one can't put the plugin in, the shower has barely warm water; the rooftop terrace that they brag about online has just very uncomfortable picnic tables, which make it impossible to hang out there for longer than few hours; the kitchen has cockroaches; staff is rude, slow and irresponsible - never sent me the extra blanket I requested since the room was so cold; if you are a girl staying in the dorm, know that they going to check in drunk man with no luggage at the middle of the night, making you feel insecure; wifi doesn't work properly in the room. Plus, I had an absolutely terrible check in experience, waiting for over 7h for my room. I arrived at the hostel at 6:30 am and was greeted by the night staff, who got my documents, and confirmed my booking but informed check-in was just 3pm but would check if my room could be ready right after check-out time. I asked to leave my luggage in the reception (which is a service that it said to be included) so I could go explore, and the night staff said it wasn't safe, therefore, I was condemned to sit at the reception and wait. At 7am, there was a shift change and 3 new receptionists came. These receptionists saw me sitting at the (very uncomfortable chairs at the) reception but did not communicate with me - they were too busy scrolling on their social media, looking at their phones the whole time. Check-out was at 10am and I saw all guests leaving and waited as, in theory, soon my room would be ready. At 11:30, I finally walked to the receptionist to discover they had no idea who I was - how come someone is sitting at their reception for 5h and they just don't think who could that be is beyond my understanding. The lady informed me she would talk to housekeeping to get my room ready as soon as possible. That took another 2 hours; When I talked to the housekeeping, they had no idea that I was waiting for the room. The staff has no communication at all among themselves. Naturally, a hotel has a minimum guaranteed check-in time (which was 3pm), but every hotel I have been to around the world, when they have a guest that arrives earlier and is waiting at the reception, have the courtesy to try to get the room ready as soon as check-outs are done, putting a priority on that room for housekeeping. In total, I waited for 7 hours after an overnight flight that I was extremely tired and just wasted half of my first day in CT due to the hotel irresponsibility, disorganization and neglect.
