Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per 3 notti. L'hotel è molto intimo e familiare e la proprietaria si prende cura degli ospiti, dando loro consigli sui luoghi da visitare, e facendoli sentire a casa. La stanza era molto pulita, spaziosa (soprattutto il bagno), e riscaldata tramite termosifoni tradizionali (non dalla fastidiosissima aria condizionata) che la rendevano estremamente accogliente al rientro dalle passeggiate al freddo. Il punto forte è senza dubbio la sala della colazione, con affaccio su un fiabesco giardino interno, poco praticabile d'inverno, ma certamente più godibile nella bella stagione. La posizione dell'hotel è ottima, a pochi passi dalla piazza principale.

Reception was very helpful. As we arrived, we had not made parking reservations, but there was a safe garage nearby. The hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Best towels on our trip so far! 😊 wonderful breakfast in a lovely area! Conveniently located and very walkable! Really enjoyed our visit!

Will definitely come back to this hotel next time we are in Bruges. Great location, comfortable bed, plenty to eat for breakfast in the most bright and lovely dinning room. Lots of hot water for the shower but we had to climb in the tub! Plenty of room to hang your clothes and store your bags.

We stayed for four nights in this lovely hotel which is a short walk from the centre. Cosy, spotlessly clean room with very comfortable bed. The friendly owner was very helpful. The continental style breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The family that owns the hotel is on site each day and takes pride in the hotel. Breakfast included bread, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, hard boiled eggs, cheese, sliced meat. Very good. The room is very clean. Bathroom has a walk in shower. Plenty of hot water. Wifi was great. Located 2 blocks from the main square. Elevator!

This is a small, elegant hotel, with a very well designed and furnished room. The view of the garden and beyond was lovely. It was very close to the center square and a host of restaurants. The breakfast was decent, the bed comfortable. As other reviewers have stated, the hotel owner, who works tirelessly from early morning to late at night, seems not to want all her guests there. She is easy to anger, become defensive, and take offense at the simpliest questions. This made the stay somewhat unpredictable. Also, the key, with the key to the safe attached, along with the code for the door, had the hotel name on it, making security confusing.

This hotel is located in a very good area. That's how I got here. This is the only advantage. The lady at the reception, on the other hand, is the opposite, she is the big disadvantage. I hope I never meet anyone like her again on a vacation. The lady has only rights but no obligation. she doesn't realize that her guests are coming on vacation. She doesn't offer anything. not even a water, although the cost of accommodation is quite high. The fridge is empty, and he explains that the water from the bathroom tap is drinkable :))) The behavior is discriminatory. you don't get rid of the lessons about the locals, lessons you don't necessarily need. We did not disturb her even once during the stay, but her behavior conveyed to us that we were not welcome. I don't know why they don't clearly display on the website which categories of guests they prefer... in this way embarrassing and occured situations could be avoided. Well, Brugge is an amazing town,choose wisely something else.

This was a lovely hotel. The location is excellent and the room was very well presented with all modern conveniences. The location is perfect being at the heart of Bruges. The breakfast was very good.

The hostess was extremely rude, condescending, and presumptuous of our every move in her precious hotel. She made me and my guest feel like we were criminals or children who didn't know how to behave. She even scolded us for starting breakfast literally two minutes before the official start time! She claimed she wasn't ready, and under her breath, which of course was loud enough for me to hear, that she would "let everyone know breakfast was ready by unlocking the door." I didn't want to point out to her the obvious that my guest and I arrived in the dinning room via the only open door there was to the dining room. To top it off, my guest and I couldn't leave her precious hotel without making sure she knew we said "goodbye" to her, HER WAY, by making sure she yelled at us down the street, even though we clearly wanted to check out immediately by dropping off our keys and waving goodbye to her. Such a dramatic and sad woman. I've never experienced such disrespect from any hotel receptionist as I did from her. She ought to be fired. On top of this, she didn't even give us the room I booked. And they failed to mention in their advertisement about the storefront that's apart of the hotel lobby! If I'd known this, I wouldn't of booked this hotel. The receptionist had the nerve to chase my guest and I to the hotel elevator. I'm not sure anyone would like to book a hotel stay where guests are made to feel like criminals instead of logically moving the illogically placed pathway to their only elevator!!! Can anyone tell how much I loathe this receptionist?

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Hotel Alegria. Brilliant location just off the Market Square but the road itself was quiet with good shops and restaurants just on the doorstep. The hotel and room was spotlessly clean, you can tell the hosts took real pride in welcoming you to their beautiful hotel. The breakfast each morning was delicious and had something to suit everyone. The owner Veronique couldn’t have been more helpful with her local knowledge and we looked forward to returning to the hotel after a busy day to see her as she was so lovely and welcoming. We would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Bruges and if we are lucky enough to return we would stay here again.

Marvelous.The room was elegant and spacious, equiped with everything one might need, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast was superb, the location perfect to explore the beautiful town of Bruges on foot, and 15 min walk from the train station. Also, Veronique in the reception is excellent!!!

The hotel is in great location, very nice room, clean comfortable and very nice decorated. The breakfast was lovely. It is very nice small boutique hotel, the lady the owner that ran the hotel was very kind and helpful, she help us with all what we need and gave us great recommendations for 3 restaurants.

This small hotel is in an excellent location, a few minutes from market square. It is about 30mins walk from station with suitcase and as all streets cobbled it is hard work. Get the free bus or no.1/2 from outside station, much easier. Our room was a superior twin at back overlooking garden (no.24). Ok size and nice view over rooftops. There is no a/c and it was very hot and stuffy at night. We left windows open and both of us were covered in bites. The bathroom has a bath with shower in. However you need to be agile as there is a shelf to get over to get in and out and as the shower is on side wall you stand almost over plug hole. Not great pressure. A walk in shower would be much better. Be prepared that the back of hotel is noisy. Bar that you can see is lively with chatter that carries til midnight. Then quiet til early morning when you will hear cars, voices etc. It did not bother us but if you go to bed early or are a light sleeper bring buds. Or just close window and endure heat, if warm. Bruges is a lovely place to visit with loads to see. Do a walking tour and then go back to sites that interest you. Have deep pockets as eating out is expensive, even going away from market square. We averaged 35/40 euros per person for main meal and soft drink (no starter or dessert). Would I stay again - maybe. Definitely not when warm as no a/c. Would see if there is a room with walk in shower, not bath with wide shelf.

Hotel Alegria is a beautiful small and welcoming hotel in the heart of Bruges. Veronique the owner is absolutely charming. She is very hands on, and her personal touch, high standards and attention to detail are evident throughout. The rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is excellent: Veronique kindly provided GF options as I am coeliac, and the breakfast room has huge windows and a view of the pretty garden at the back. The location couldn't be better and there is also a small garage at the side should you require parking. This was our second stay at Hotel Alegria, and we'll certainly be back again. I cannot recommend it enough.
