The room was pretty tired looking although the bed was very comfy

Easy to find

A fantastic location and a great hotel with rooms that relfect the price point at which it sits. Small but fine for one or two evenings. Walls could do with a touch up and having stayed a few times its difficult to regulate the temperature of the room. Great shower facilities and a comfy bed. Worth a stay and will do so again.

I was thoroughly impressed by how helpful and friendly all the staff were. Rooms were small but clean, cheap and cheerful.

Motel One is a quality budget boutique hotel chain. Can’t fault the staff, cleanliness or style of the Newcastle hotel. For £160 on a Saturday night in March (booked in advance) it does the job. One thing that I’d have expected, but cannot be changed is room size. A 3m x 4m room is what you’ll get for most rooms - small. Other Motel Ones we have stayed in have been more spacious, as are other hotel chain rooms. Drinks - pricy as per all hotel lobby bars. Food - get a Deliveroo as they only do toasties. Breakfast - a fabulous and healthy continental breakfast. Don’t like “full English” and it’s not served here and this suits me down to the ground. 7/10 - would be a 10 if there were bigger rooms with 2 chairs for both guests and a second bedside table. The TV - you need a PhD to operate as the remote will only allow “up/down” the channel list between TV and radio station (but if you’re on a weekend away then you shouldn’t be watching TV!)

Great spot, right in center, really helpful staff whosw recomendations of where to head for great food, cocktails and nightd out were all spot on. Only complaint from us was that the room was a bit too warm, but other than that, absolutely great saty for 3 nights.

Staff are brillaint. Nothing too much trouble, and really friendly to chat about things.

This hotel is in an ideal place for everything shopping, restaurants and comedy nights really enjoyed Newcastle. The hotel was great staff were lovely the room was small but adequate for the few days we were there for and the bed was comfortable and a large walk in shower which was great.

Nice hotel, not far from train station and well situated for bars, restaurants, shops etc. we will definitely stop again.

Really nice hotel, helpful staff, very well located in the center of the city. Rooms are clean and the facilities were great. Only issue we had was that the room was very hot and we just couldn’t get the room to cool either with the AC or by opening the window even when it was 7 degrees outside. This meant we had a very uncomfortable night.
