Hotel eccellente, ottima posizione, personale cordiale, direttamente collegato al Terminal 3 dell'aeroporto del Cairo. Le camere sono molto pulite e arredate in stile moderno. Dispone di un ristorante cinese che offre un'ottima cucina cinese.

L'ambiente, le camere, il ristorante e il servizio erano tutti eccellenti. Inizialmente non avevamo prenotato la colazione perché eravamo preoccupati di partire presto, ma alla reception ci hanno detto che era disponibile dalle 6:00 alle 12:00, quindi abbiamo deciso di anticiparla. Il personale della reception ci ha detto che la colazione sarebbe stata fantastica, ed è stata davvero molto abbondante: la migliore colazione che abbiamo fatto durante il nostro viaggio in Egitto. Il parcheggio costava 350 sterline egiziane al giorno, ed era disponibile il servizio di parcheggio e riconsegna auto, il che è stato molto comodo. Abbiamo cenato in hotel ogni giorno; c'erano molti ristoranti in loco, con un'ampia scelta. Nel complesso, siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti.

La prima stanza era come una sigaretta, nonostante non fumasse. La seconda era un'aggiornamento, ma era l'aggiornamento che ho pagato all'inizio. La mia prima stanza era un'abbandono.

Ho avuto una pessima esperienza in questo hotel e non ci tornerò mai più. Avevo prenotato una camera doppia, ma al mio arrivo, al check-in, sono rimasto sorpreso di trovare due letti singoli. Ho chiamato la reception e ho informato l'addetto, il quale ha affermato che il tour operator non li aveva informati della mia richiesta di una camera doppia con letto king size. Non avendo a disposizione un letto king size, siamo rimasti in quella camera. Tuttavia, l'aria condizionata era talmente rumorosa che era impossibile parlare. Ho chiesto di cambiare camera e me ne hanno data un'altra, ma anche lì l'aria condizionata era estremamente rumorosa. Dopo aver fatto qualche domanda, ho capito che quasi tutte le camere dell'hotel erano rumorose. Il giorno successivo mi hanno dato una camera doppia con letto king size e ho specificato chiaramente che avevo bisogno di una camera con un buon impianto di aria condizionata. Una volta entrato nella nuova camera, sono rimasto scioccato dal fatto che l'aria condizionata funzionasse correttamente, ma non raffreddasse affatto, e la temperatura non scendeva sotto i 26 gradi. Ho detto al destinatario di mandare il team di ingegneri e hanno provato a risolvere il problema, ma la situazione non è cambiata. Nessuno ha fatto una telefonata di cortesia per verificare e non ho informato il team del Front Office del problema perché avevo perso ogni speranza che lo risolvessero. Il personale in generale non sorride, il team del Front Office è molto freddo e arrogante, ad eccezione di Mostapha, il team del Food & Breakfast non sorride affatto e ha un linguaggio del corpo rigido, tranne una signora al bar della hall che è molto allegra (turno mattutino). Muhammad e Amir dello sport bar sono fantastici e veri albergatori: sanno come parlare con gli ospiti, sono molto gentili e sempre sorridenti, sono davvero professionali. Muhammad del servizio facchinaggio è semplicemente fantastico e una persona gentile. Yousef della lavanderia è un vero albergatore che si è prodigato oltre i suoi doveri quando ha dovuto rimanere fino a tardi dopo l'orario di chiusura della lavanderia quando l'ho chiamato alle 21:55 chiedendogli che avevo urgente bisogno di stirare una camicia perché tutte le mie camicie erano stropicciate nella borsa. Mi ha aiutato a farlo e ha dovuto rimanere fino a tardi: dovrebbe essere candidato al premio di dipendente del mese. Non posso scrivere molti dettagli qui, ma non ho avuto un'esperienza piacevole. Un punto molto importante è la sensazione che si prova entrando nell'hotel dall'ingresso principale sulla strada, è quella di entrare in una base militare, a causa dell'alto livello di sicurezza. Questo di per sé non mi dispiace, ma ciò che non accetto è che quando sono arrivato con Uber, e mi è successo diverse volte, gli agenti di sicurezza che fermano le auto non hanno il diritto di far perdere tempo agli ospiti, costringendoli ad ascoltare le loro storie personali dopo aver fermato l'auto e l'ospite a bordo. È assolutamente inaccettabile e non riflette un'immagine professionale dell'hotel. Gli agenti di sicurezza devono essere addestrati a ispezionare l'auto e a fare copie delle patenti di guida immediatamente e rapidamente quando un'auto Uber o qualsiasi altra auto entra nell'hotel con un ospite a bordo, senza far aspettare a lungo l'auto finché non hanno finito di raccontare la loro storia. Questo è irrispettoso dei tempi e dovremmo prestare molta attenzione alla puntualità e formare il nostro personale su come rispettarla. L'addetta alle pulizie ha dimenticato lo spolverino sporco sul comodino quando ha pulito la stanza.

In general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

The hotel is very conveniently located near airport, making it a best choice for travelers who are on short visit to or transit via Cairo. The facilities are outstanding with a well maintained swimming pool, nice restaurants, souvenir shops and with nice & attentive staffs. The check in was made a little earlier and smoother via online check-in. The room is clean, well maintained and spacious for the price range. The hotel offers free shuttle service to all the departure terminals (once in 30 minutes for 24 hours) and the complimentary buffer breakfast was awesome with a wide spread of menu items.

The staff of this hotel was not good, At about 8 PM in the evening, the hotel front desk staff called the room and said that the hotel we booked only allows one person to stay. If two people stay, they need to add an additional fee of 70 US dollars. Very unlogic, so I leave my friend and I booked another hotel.but the facilities and environment is good .only their service is bad
