Hotel con colazione a Quanzhou

Questo hotel è stato un luogo meraviglioso per soggiornare. Situato vicino a tutti i paesaggi locali e il personale è stato amico e utile e con camere meravigliosomente pulite

La posizione è leggermente lontana dalla zona turistica principale, ma c'è un grande centro commerciale vicino (circa 5 minuti a piedi) e vicino all'hotel c'è un parco di gioco e zona ricreativa dove si possono nutrire anche alcuni piccoli animali. L'hotel è nuovo e pulito, una vista grande dalla nostra camera. La piscina era pulita con guardie di vita intorno, ma l'unica cosa che hanno bisogno è la capsula di nuoto e abbiamo finito di comprarla per usare la piscina. La colazione era anche buona.

Abbiamo davvero goduto il nostro soggiorno al Gucheng Alley Yu Hotel e ci siamo sentiti molto benvenuti a causa del servizio caldo, utile e paziente da Xiayang e Xiao Wang! La stanza era pulita e molto spaziosa, come mostrato nella foto acclusa, e tranquilla alla notte. Le matite e i giacche sono perfette, che ci offre un buon riposo notturno senza lasciarci sentire troppo caldo o freddo. Il pranzo è servito nel ristorante Yallayala all'interno del complesso dell'hotel, che serve una miscela di Singapore-stile (ad esempio toast kaya) e di cibo Fujian (shacha noodles), ma piuttosto medio. L'hotel è situato vicino alla Torre Bell Quanzhou zhou, che lo rende a pochi passi dalla Zhongshan Road (Zhongshan Road) e West Street (West Street), e anche vicino a eccellenti piatti come il devanzhou nella strada orientale. Lasciare le seguenti informazioni per aiutare chiunque intenda raggiungere l'hotel con auto o taxi privati. Si prega di notare che le auto non possono entrare nella Zhongshan Middle Road (Zhongshan Central Road) e nella West Street (West Street) a causa delle barricate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They provided useful itinerary suggestions, and food recommendations. As a foreign guest, the staff proactively shared their WeChat ID and it’s recommended to share yours as well, as they are cautious about scams. Communication through WeChat was smooth and very helpful. A RMB 200 deposit is required, but as a foreigner there was no issue with the transaction. They were also kind enough to help me operate the washing machine, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and well-kept. The bed was comfortable, and I especially liked the pillow—it suited my preference well. One small thing to note is that it took a bit of time to figure out how to maintain a consistent shower temperature, as it would sometimes be too hot or too cold. Also worth mentioning: part of my room had a low ceiling. You’ll need to be careful when standing up—I bumped my head a few times during my stay 😅. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience with very attentive service. I would still recommend this homestay, especially for travelers who value helpful staff and local guidance.

Grand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

西湖酒店地處西湖公園旁，環境安靜，是個逛完景店後入住的好地方。旁邊的公園也出乎意料的美，6.6公里的步道、桃花島等景點讓人心情愉悦。還提供了升級服務，前台人員服務温馨，大堂提供的薑茶有益健康，軀走了夜晚遊玩歸來的些許寒意。

After further experience, it seems that this place is typical for this area at this price range. So I guess I got what I paid for. But still, I was significantly disappointed by the lack of cleanliness. The lobby seemed clean and new, but after that, the elevator, hallway, and room were disappointing. And although this room was a bit cleaner than a cheaper room at a different hotel nearby, the floor and bathroom were still noticeably dirty. There was a stain on the bedsheet, which I don’t doubt was perfectly sanitary, but still added to the impression of it being dirty. There were some free condoms and lube in a container near the bed, which made the place feel even more shady and unappealing. Besides those things, it was fine. The breakfast on the top floor (you have to go up a set of stairs to get to it) was ok, though quite simple, Chinese-style breakfast items. Overall, it was tolerable, and from experiencing a few other hotels later during my stay, I came to see that it’s hard to get anything much better than that for that price range. I paid about $28/night for this place. If you want a clean place to stay, you’ll probably have to pay a decent amount more money, probably more than $40.
