Hotel con colazione a Kaohsiung

Great location less than 20 minutes from KHH airport. It is within 8 minutes walking distance from SOGO for those who love to shop department stores. There are 7-11s ( more than one!) Family Marts and a PX Mart (grocery store) along each road. Very convenient. The drinks at 7-11 will be cheaper priced than Family Mart and PX Mart and sometimes they will have a BOGO on select items ( I got an extra baby wipe pack by sheer luck). The Family Mart will have more unique items (ex Kombucha, health teas etc). The food selection for both places will be a bit limited for grab and go eats. Think sweet pastries and snacks. They do have some sandwiches but not super healthy if you are vegetarian. The hotel has complementary breakfast that starts at 6:30am ends at 10am. It is a buffet the fills up the entire room. There is a wonderful mix of local foods, one Western style pot. There is a small salad bar, fruit bar, coffee/tea and a small short order cook that will fry up 4 items (eggs, scallion onion omelette, turnip cakes). There is an other side has at least 10 varieties of local foods. The quality is great! Not too oily, 2 congee pots ( regular and Hong Kong Style). Fruits include what is season (Guava, apples, watermelon) and oranges, bananas. I will warn you about the late night snack (Dim Sum) buffet. Located on same floor and it starts at 7pm. That is a busy mad house. The line to queue up starts earlier and it will go down the hall to the stairwell. Lots of tour buses come to this location and tour groups will flood in each week during season. I went during early April for 9 days. I would go to breakfast at 8 am and skipped the nighttime crush. Restaurants are readily available all around and very affordable. This hotel comes with complimentary laundry DIY and laundry powder soap. Make sure you write your room number on the dry erase placard and stick it on each machine you use. Otherwise another guest may accidentally throw their items in and use the machine. The dryers are on top so hard to see what’s on the bottom. There is a free lounge in the lobby that has complimentary ice cream, coffee/tea and jasmine flavored gelatin cups. You can sit there all day if you like and sip on a free espresso or other drink. This hotel comes with a lot of amenities at a reasonable rate— I will stay here again next time.

The check in was very nice, the hotel staff were well trained and provided a pleasant experience. The rooms itself also had more pluses than minuses, my expectations were definitely uplifted upon first checking in. My gripes with the hotel are definitely more of a personal issue, I will start off by stating that I am a very sensitive sleeper and also nitpicky when it comes to my showers. First of all, the room sound proofing was not the best, I could hear the traffic outside the window throughout the night and into the morning. Granted I did stay on the 6th floor, so I'd imagine this becomes less of an issue the higher the room is located (up to 19th floor). Second, the bed was very slightly uneven and bumpy. Like a well-worn bed that has been slept on many a nights, the maintenance of the mattress was not stellar. For travellers that can knock themselves out even on a wooden plank, this probably won't faze you. But for those on the unlucky spectrum of sensitive sleepers like myself, it was a nightmare. So much so that I opted to check out early at 6AM the second morning, because I couldn't get a wink of sleep in. Lastly, the showers. This isn't about the water quality, because Kaohsiung is known to have hard water and poor water quality that cannot be compensated by water softeners no matter where you go. But this hotel simply does not allow for cold showers, to my bafflement. My body temperature runs pretty warm, so I usually have cold showers to help me regulate my temperature. The hotel shower starts off cool, but after nary a few seconds the coldest end of the knob turns into fully warm water. You can only choose between warm or really hot showers. This came as a shocker, because KS is also known to be really warm all year round. Only having warm or hot showers sound like a potential safety hazard for travellers not well acclimated to the heat. I do not know if this is a byproduct of the types of water treatment the hotel uses to treat the hard water supply, but it was definitely very off-putting to say the least. Overall, the hotel was decent on the surface. There was class and quality in its well maintained splendour. But for my fellow sensitive and higher maintenance travellers out there, I would recommend opting for another hotel if you're in the ballpark to spend on a classy hotel anyways.

Luxurioso, pulito, molto buon servizio. La stanza era grande con grande vista. La piscina era anche bella, anche se fredda, ma la maggior parte delle piscine a Taiwan sono fredde e non riscaldate. Il cibo nel ristorante a buffet era anche molto buono. Diverse opzioni e anche un piatto di maiale Michelin menzionato. Il servizio nel ristorante era molto bello per noi. Poiché veniamo a Taiwan molto spesso/ regolarmente, rimarremo certamente di nuovo.

Hotel Just Sleep Kaoshiung is conveniently located between Kaoshiung Main Station and Formosa Boulevard Station. It is also within walking distance to convenience stores and Liuhe Night Market. As for the hotel room, we booked a family room. The room is very spacious for a family of four and our 3 large luggage bags. Plenty of walking spaces too.👍👍 The service is awesome and the reception is warm. Although the aircon for our original room was not working despite the hotel’s attempt to fix it, the staff offered us another room and even allowed us to try out the air con before confirming the room. That really saved us else we would have to suffer due to poor ventilation for the 3 nights’ stays. 👍👍👏👏 As for the hotel wifi, it does not work well. Probably the hotel wants us to just sleep at night and not to surf the internet. Hahaha…. 😁😉 The hotel also offers free usage of the washing machines located at 3rd floor. However the heater is charged at NTD 10 per 10 minutes. Oh a thing to note is that the pillows are too soft to our liking. It is difficult to sleep with it although the mattresses are really firm. 😆😆 din sleep well though. And for our room that faced the main street, it could be noisy in the morning. We could hear the traffic. As for breakfast, the hotel serves it from 6.30am to 10.00am. We booked our room with breakfast, however, we didn’t really get to enjoy the breakfast as we woke up late. So it is really up to individual to decide if they would want to include breakfast in their hotel package. Overall, it is really a decent hotel with friendly staffs who are always ready to offer their service. 🎉🎉👍👍👌👌

Tutto è stato buono durante il mio soggiorno in questo hotel. L'illuminazione della stanza era un po' troppo oscura per me, ma non era un problema durante il giorno, perché c'era molta luce solare dalla finestra. Mi piace che mettano una tavola da caffè e una sedia a mano dalla finestra, rendendo molto piacevole leggere durante il giorno. La posizione è una buona, circa 10-15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione MRT più vicina. La strada alla stazione era chiara e aveva una varietà di negozi locali da esplorare.

I booked this hotel because of next day flight. However, this hotel still needs to be access by taxi. Hotel is quiet, room is clean. 2 Water bottles are avb. Theres no facilities avb in this hotel except breakfast and almost all day coffee/tea and chips/biscuits (forgot the exact time). Nevertheless, the breakfast is really below so so, all food is not warm at all and limited choices. We finally went to Starbucks across the street.

La stanza era pulita e tranquilla. Il ricevitore maschile era molto bello. Tuttavia c’era un disastro: la ricevitrice femminile, con capelli corti, non era molto amichevole.

Molto amichevole personale. Situato proprio prima della stazione ferroviaria Kaohsiung. Per colazione gratuita, hai ordinato quando hai fatto check-in, hanno dato Un piccolo sacchetto marrone. Perché non riempire il tuo tamburo con tè di pesche o tè di latte?
