Hotel in zona Kreuzgassbrunnen, Berna

La città vecchia di Berna può essere raggiunta anche a piedi, ma l’albergo offre i biglietti gratuiti per i mezzi pubblici, quindi abbiamo utilizzato sempre quest’ultimi per spostarci visto che la fermata si trova proprio di fronte alla struttura. Le camere sono grandi e funzionali in tutto. Veramente utile anche la possibilità di posteggiare nel garage sotterraneo (posti limitati). Di fianco alla struttura c’è il supermercato della Coop, assolutamente comodo per effettuare qualsiasi acquisto (alimentari e altro).

Weekend a Berna da ripetere. Hotel speciale dall’atmosfera di altri tempi, servizio impeccabile. Cordialità e professionalità del persone che fanno davvero la differenza. Camere ampie e moderne. Abbiamo scelto il monolocale luxury leaving con angolo cottura e ci é sembrato davvero di essere a casa. Posizione centralissima per visitare i punti di interesse anche in vista dei mercatini di Natale. Servizio in camera ottimo, cucina curata anche nella presentazione. Menu completo durante il giorno e ridotto h24. Abbiamo avuto ospiti a cena in camera e sono rimasti anche loro colpiti. Possibilità di parcheggiare in Hotel a 50chf al giorno. Semplicemente fantastico. Siamo tornati a casa più riposati e rilassati dopo questo weekend che dopo altre vacanze durate una settimana.

Posizione centrale, circa 300 metri dalla stazione, raggiungibile a piedi o con tram 9 che ha fermata circa a 100 metri. Albergo moderno, ben arredato, ottima pulizia; stanze essenziali ma accoglienti (cassaforte ma non frigobar), bollitore acqua, phon. È presente un bar lounge (di cui non abbiamo usufruito). Colazione inclusa a self service soddisfacente. Acqua per gli ospiti gratuita (non indifferente visto i prezzi dell’acqua minerale a Berna!) e codice gratuito per utilizzo dei mezzi pubblici durante il soggiorno. Servizio Wifi efficiente. Se dovessi tornare a Berna prenoterei di nuovo qui.

L'hotel è a tre (3)-4 (4) chilometri dalla città antica di Berna e a meno di un (1) chilometro dalla città nuova di Berna. Il buffet del colazione ha una grande selezione di cibo a un prezzo molto ragionevole. Abbiamo risparmiato molto aggiungendolo al nostro viaggio considerando che un pasto decente nei ristoranti vicini costa almeno 30 franchi. Le camere sono a posto quando si tratta di dimensioni, ma non ci sono riscaldatori, asciugacapelli, pasta dentale e spazzolino, solo le toilette di base sono fornite. In generale, ci siamo divertiti a Berna.

Ottimo hotel, stanza molto bella e confortevole. Letti comodissimi e bagno con prodotti rituals molto buoni. Sala hall molto bella e moderna. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione perché secondo me troppo cara. Abbiamo invece usufruito del comodo parcheggio interno, anch’ esso troppo caro ( 22 franchi al giorno) Ottima la posizione dell’hotel in quanto è presente il tram che in. 5/6 fermate porta al centro di Berna. (Biglietti omaggio dati dall’hotel). Distributore acqua naturale e frizzante gratis nei piani. Super consigliato Peccato solo per il costo troppo elevato del Parcheggio e della colazione. ( ma del resto in linea con gli altissimi prezzi della Svizzera)

HOTEL AMBASSADOR BERN An ideal mix of good location, excellent staff & facilities We chose Hotel Ambassador primarily because it offered free parking service as we were travelling on rent-a-car and didn't have much idea about parking houses in Bern But the hotel turned out to be much better than our expectations. POSITIVES (+) The location is brilliant especially if you're new to the city. Close proximity to the tramp stop and ideally located in a neat, clean neighborhood. (+) I got a message from the hotel one day in advance summarizing all details of the stay and the city. Special thanks to Dominika Motykova who sent this message which really helped me book my free tramp tickets and get ready for the hotel stay (+) The staff and service are very good. Smooth check-in and check-out experience (+) I got a two bedroom option as we were a family of 2 adults and 2 children. This was really awesome as kids were independent and loving their own room (+) Views from the room especially with the barn and cattle side is breathtaking. Highly recommended to go for this view instead of city / old town view (+) Abel at the bar was very friendly and gentle during service hours in the evening. He chit chatted about our country, stay and gave advice on the tourist attractions. NEGATIVES (-) The hotel is slightly outdated in terms of infrastructure with old styled keys for opening doors, slightly old furniture & upholstery. The walls and carpeting inside the hotel is 90s styled. (-) The most painful aspect I experienced was the bed which was of poor quality with the mattress & pillows being really off. I was sleepless on both nights that I stayed here. (-) The pool is not heated and has limited space for people with only 4-5 beds and chairs (-) Access from basement parking to the main hotel is through a ringer which new comers may not know. No clear signage or messaging is written anywhere on how to go inside from the basement. I had to literally drag all the luggage by myself to the lobby for elevator access Overall, based on service / location / neighborhood, the place is Highly Recommended Rating: 8 / 10

We totally enjoyed our 2 night stay. Loved the ”industrial” decor, spotlessly clean everywhere, really comfortable bed and pillows, great shower. Really easy to get there from the railway station using the free tram/buses. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at an Ibis, lots of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had stupidly lost my phone case ( that had CC cards in it!) and 2 honest young men had found it and a card from the hotel in it, called the hotel to say they had it, staff immediately contacted me to let me know, really appreciated the efficiency and concern in reuniting me with my lost case! Highly recommend staying here for comfort, breakfast, value and staff

PROS - Modern clean rooms with comfortable beds and reading lights. - Fast and easy route to the centre via the bus (free to guests!) - Black out blinds - Two bed apartment was very spacious - Laundry facilities (washer and dryer, 2 francs each) were really helpful, and clearly signposted - Parking including reasonably fast electric car charging - Concierge was available, helpful and very friendly. CONS - The air con was very slow even when turned up to the highest setting, and rooms were hot. Windows don’t open. - The breakfast was abysmal value. No fruit selection (just the usual bulk-bought fruit salad; it doesn’t cost much to put some apples and seasonal fruit in a bowl to choose from!). The scrambled eggs were rated inedible by the whole family. No baguette or whole loaves to slice, just large individual rolls and some white sliced processed bread.

My wife and I stayed at the Moxy in Bern. This is the second Moxy that we have stayed in (the first without Covid restrictions) and it didn’t disappoint. The room was a good size as Moxy hotels go with a two seater sitting area, fold out luggage stool, a large flat rack with hangers (a brilliant way to hang clothes without taking up floor space). The bed was supportive and comfortable. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there is a kettle (and a microwave) in the lobby for guests to use. Staff were happy to regularly fill the kettle so I could have hot water in my flask for the room. All staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was super and all food was to a very pleasing standard. They had a selection of two juices, at least 8 different cereals and 3 different milks, a couple of yoghurt options, fresh fruit, as well as a selection of breads, rolls and loaf with a toaster. There was also a selection of cold meats and cheeses. Breakfast included a choice of three hot options including scrambled eggs, bacon bits or sausages and also waffles. There was also a coffee machine providing latte, espresso etc. One of the things I really appreciated was that they put small quantities of food out so that it was regularly replenished and therefore fresh and not picked through. The hotel provided a small menu of bar snacks including Nachos and cheese, a couple of different rice/pasta dishes, a couple of different pizza options as well as flatbreads and a few other options. Food is not Michelin Star quality but was good and very welcome if you didn’t want to leave the hotel in the evening. Whilst the location of the hotel is out of the city centre (it is a 30 minute leisurely stroll to the Barengraben), we made use of the Bern Card which gives free travel in the city centre. Trains run every 10-15 mins and take 3-5 mins to reach the central station. There are other trams and buses but these take slightly longer. The Bern Wankdorf train station is extremely handy (about 50 metres from the hotel) but we hardly ever heard the trains in the hotel when the windows were closed. Between the station and the hotel is a handy Co-op store which, for all the size of it, was very well stocked with essentials including fresh bakery, fresh sandwiches and a small hot food counter. The hotel is also located less than a 10 minute walk from the Stadium Wankdorf complex which also includes a shopping centre, McDonalds, as well as a couple of other cafes. All in all, a great stay and we would be delighted to return to this hotel if we are ever in Bern again.

The hotel itself was clean and smart decorated. Comfortable and big bed, and a small kitchenette that facilitated the reparation of easy meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a smooth check, whereas check out was a breeze. An aldi supermarket was right in the corner. Bern Bahnhof and city centre was easily reachable. All in all, it was a pleasure staying there.
