Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice.
The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece.
Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt.
I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name.
In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.

L'ambiente interno dell'hotel è molto buono, la decorazione è molto bella e pulita
La stanza è pulita, ma non c'è gas di scarico nella stanza. Il sapore del bagno è difficile da dissipare, soprattutto la stanza chiusa senza finestre.
Il servizio è difficile dire. Quando ho prenotato una stanza avanzata con una finestra con balcone, ho detto che la stanza era inutile. La stanza ”aggiornata” è una stanza completamente chiusa senza finestre! Non sono d'accordo, ma l'hotel ha detto che non c'era una stanza ”discutere” e'stato per darmi una cena gratuita. Non ho scelto di accettare il tè.

UUtente ospiteIl nostro hotel ha un soggiorno meraviglioso a Hampton Hotel a Cusco. Una menzione speciale a Wilma, che ha fatto un'altra mila per accogliere la nostra richiesta di trasferirsi in una stanza con un letto regina invece di due letti standard, ha fatto una grande differenza.
Le camere sono nuove, pulite e confortevoli con letto fresco, e il colazione è molto buono. In generale, un'ottima esperienza e consiglierei molto questo hotel per chiunque visiti Cusco.

NNAOHIKO HASEGAWASituato all'angolo di Plaza de Armas, questo hotel ha la posizione migliore a Cusco. La camera era ben pulita e pulita. Tutto il personale è stato gentile e cordiale. Il giorno della nostra partenza anticipata per Machu Picchu, ci hanno fornito un pranzo al sacco per colazione. Hanno chiamato un taxi per l'aeroporto e il prezzo era stato fissato, quindi mi sono sentito al sicuro. UUtente ospiteOverall the hotel was good, service was good, laundry services excellent. 2 issues:
1) location: the front is not a street but a walking lane, so taxis and tour transportation cannot come to front door. This alleyway also has many clubs so the noise and foot traffic is all night long.
2 Breakfast was included , however if you want a second omelette they wanted you to pay for it. Free breakfast means free, any other buffet restaurant you can take as many eggs as you wish.
Overall I would stay there again,

UUtente ospiteHad two separate bookings with the hotel as I was going to Machu Picchu and staying overnight there. During my first day at this hotel in my first reservation, I was asked to pay for this second booking together. No receipt given but was assured that there will not be any misunderstanding. Was told to pack and leave my things at the reception and check out and re-check in. So not sure why I needed to pay for the second reservation upfront in my first booking (Maybe afraid that I would cancel it as I was really tempted to). As mentioned in my previous post, the amenities are severly lacking, cause of low water supply, the pipes and toilet filling up is very loud and the water flow from the tap is like the picture at night and it was trickling and dripping one of the early mornings when I had a tour. In short, i will not stay here again.

KK TravelsLet me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice.
But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath.
The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it.
I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep.
Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh
