Belmond Monasterio: The Best Hotel in Cusco, Beyond Any Comparison Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice. The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece. Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.

Consiglio di prendere un Uber o un taxi per raggiungere la zona. La passeggiata da Plaza Armas dura circa 6 minuti, ma è collinare e il traffico, sia pedonale che automobilistico, è intenso. L'hotel si trova in salita, come del resto tutta la città. Le porte si aprono su un piccolo cortile. A sinistra e a destra ci sono delle scuole. Basta proseguire dritto e suonare il campanello. Apriranno la porta molto velocemente. Se la porta del cortile è chiusa, c'è un campanello raggiungibile dal marciapiede. La colazione è preparata al momento con uova, pane, un buon caffè e 3 tipi di succo di frutta. Il proprietario e la sua famiglia sono gentili e disponibili. La camera era dotata di bollitore e controllo della temperatura. La famiglia parla inglese. Ho apprezzato il mio soggiorno.

Let me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice. But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath. The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it. I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep. Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh

Grande hotel, solo un po' lontano dalle aree abituali. Miglior se si vuole essere vicino all'aeroporto. E 'circa 20-30 minuti al centro. Soprattutto con il traffico intorno. Doccia calda, buon letto e bonus con un riscaldamento personale nella stanza. Purtroppo non si sparge un asciugacapelli nella stanza. Il tubo scarica acqua, quindi state attenti.

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was very quiet and super relaxing. I had a great recovery post trekking. There wasn’t any noise at all and the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel Santa Maria was the best hotel during my stay in Peru, which included not only Cusco, but also Lima and Aguas Calientes. The bed was comfortable, the Wifi worked well and reliably, and the serice was excellent in several ways. For example, when I requested an airport pickup at 10 pm after flying 28 straight hours, a friendly driver picked me up. Ruby was particularly helpful and very friendly and wanted the best for me as a tourist in her country. She asked follow-up questions about my experience at Machu Picchu after getting back from Machu Picchu Pueblo. It waa great Spanish practice! The men front staff were also gentlemenly willing to help. In addition to the very hospitable demeanor, the tour service also saved my trip. I booked a separate city tour with a different company on Trip.com, but that tour never happened. However, the tour services of Santa Maria gave me exactly what I wanted from their own tour booking service managed by Edith. So, rest assured that service, too, is reliable. Be wary of online city tours done online in Cusco. No need to worry at this hotel, though. I used it also for the Rainbow Mountain excursion. With Hotel Santa Maria, I wouldn't have truly experienced Cusco, Peru! Mil gracias for helping me realize my dream trip to its fullest extent!

La persona alla reception è stata molto gentile. Se siete sensibili ai rumori vi consigliamo di munirvi di tappi per le orecchie (nelle vicinanze c'era musica ad alto volume fino a tarda notte).

The Qosqo Wasi boasts an unbeatable location, with easy access to attractions and transportation. The receptionists and staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring a warm welcome and attentive service. Clean, spacious rooms and excellent dining options make for a delightful stay. Highly recommended!
