Kota Kinabalu: hotel con bar

"I visited the hotel with my parents, my wife and my daughter. We stayed for four nights, checking in on 3rd May and checked out on the 7th. This is actually my second time visiting this hotel, the first time being 30 years ago, again with my parents. I had great memories as a kid so I was looking forward to this trip. The First night was great, had dinner at Coco Joe's and rested after a long trip. The Second day was fantastic, breakfast and dinner and Cafe Tutu, met a lovely dining lady named Rohana. During the day, we enjoyed the great activities of the Leisure Center. Friendly staff from there made the experience children friendly. And the icing of the dessert - the sunset parade, Jamie loves it. Housekeeping did a surprise heartwarming job, covering the lion doll of my daughter with a little towel on the pillow, very cute and thoughtful move. The Third Day we went out to town so didn't stay much time in the hotel. The Fourth Day, was quite disappointing to be honest. Housekeeping did not arrive in the morning when we were out playing at the pool. I understand as there are many rooms to take care of. We went back to the room to rest between 2-4pm, switch on the ”Do not disturb” button, and somehow housekeeping team arrived so they put a card to say they could not clean as we put up the do not disturb button. Fair enough, but again, there was five hours in the morning which they could clean the room. Leaving the room again at 4pm for activities, I called service center for housekeeping, switched off the ”Do not disturb” button and went out. We returned at 7:45pm, still there was no housekeeping. Frustrated, I called the service center again requesting for housekeeping, they replied they will check and follow up with housekeeping. Half an hour later, still no one turned up. Extremely irritated, I called service center for housekeeping again. This time, housekeeping finally arrived but our whole family were waiting for clean towels to have shower. VERY disappointing with the effecitivness of housekeeping and service center on this incident. On that very same day, I discovered a big crockcroach in the toilet, so I do have a big quetion mark on the housekeeping of this hotel. The day was worsen when we had dinner at Coco Joe's, where we wait for nearly an hour (from 6pm to 6:53pm) before we get all our food served. I did complain it to the manager when he came by, which he did apologise and waived our dining fee. Despite my disgrunt towards the long waiting time of the dishes, I would like to give credit on the manager (I think his name is Mr Kan?) in terms of how he managed the complaint. Overall, the experience is mixed. With friendly staff at leisure center + Cafe Tutu, good food but unreasonably long waiting time at Coco Joe's, and disappointing housekeeping after the heartwarming performance on the second day. The hardware of the hotel is great (view, pool design, restaurant seating) but our experience was mainly affected by the staff. On this ocassions, I would like to give commendation to the following staff: Rohana, Majid (both from Cafe Tutu), all staff from Leisure Centre (especially the two ladies and two gentleman hosting water polo and volleyball respectively), and Kan from Coco Joe's on complaint management. Please keep up on the good work you already have, and work hard on things that requires improvement:)"

"La posizione dell'hotel è davvero comoda. Il molo è raggiungibile a piedi. Vicino all'hotel si trova un centro commerciale, molto comodo per i ristoranti. C'è anche un minimarket. L'aeroporto è raggiungibile in soli 20 minuti."

"La stanza è molto grande, tutte e tre le camere sono al sesto piano. C'è un'interruzione dell'acqua ogni giorno, il water non si scarica e l'unico modo per fare la doccia è chiedere alla reception una tessera per andare in un'altra stanza al tredicesimo piano! A volte non c'è acqua al mattino e a volte di notte, eh! Stanco, dicono che sia un problema del comune, lo dimentichi e non vuole occuparsene, anche gli spogliatoi sono fastidiosi, tranne questo, tutto il resto è a posto, ci vogliono circa dieci minuti a piedi per raggiungere Durian Street e Gaya Street, e anche il centro commerciale Shuguang è raggiungibile a piedi. Fa troppo caldo per camminare durante il giorno, fa più fresco di notte!"

"Il colazione è pieno di scelta, ma l'esperienza di soggiorno non è stato davvero buono come il desk mi ha detto che la vostra stanza è al centro del piano alla fine è l'ultima seconda stanza (che deve camminare per 2 collegamenti dall'ascensore) ma la posizione dell'hotel era strategico a partire dalla strada Gaya"

"We will be here again in coming September! This hotel is excellent and vey cozy. Cleanliness is good, the surrounding is nice smell. The staff friendly and the room is comfortable."

"Si trova in centro città, ma è difficile raggiungere a piedi il molo per il tour. Tuttavia, non è un problema perché c'è un servizio di pick-up per i tour. Anche la piscina dell'hotel è bella e la colazione era buona. La posizione del rubinetto del lavandino in camera era ambigua. Quindi, è stato un po' scomodo lavarsi le mani o i denti, ma a parte questo, è stato un buon hotel."

"Il Luma Hotel era incredibile e pulitissimo! L'atmosfera era piacevolmente profumata. Il fattorino e il personale di servizio erano eccezionali. L'hotel è situato in posizione strategica, vicino al centro commerciale Imago, raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata attraverso un ponte. È anche vicino a diversi minimarket e al Chagee. Il personale ci ha offerto un servizio eccellente, aiutandoci a depositare i bagagli mentre aspettavamo il volo. La nostra camera era spaziosa e confortevole."

"Pro -Staff is helpful & friendly. -Provided free parking for those driving car. -Room is clean and housekeeping good. Cons -Just the Pedestrian crossing line to opposite road, the pelican crossing waiting is long and sometime not working."

"Pro: L'hotel è situato in posizione comoda, vicino a tutto: KK Plaza, il Mercato delle Filippine, Gaya Street e molto altro. Essendo un hotel nuovo, i servizi sono moderni e ben tenuti. C'è una bella vista per ammirare il tramonto, anche se durante il mio soggiorno era nuvoloso. Anche il sistema di sicurezza è buono: è necessario avvicinare la tessera della camera per usare l'ascensore, il che aggiunge un ulteriore livello di sicurezza. Contro: A volte, la camera emanava uno sgradevole odore di fogna. Nel pomeriggio, la camera diventava estremamente calda a causa della posizione esposta al sole e impiegava più di un'ora per raffreddarsi. La porta era molto difficile da aprire e chiudere, il che causava forti rumori, soprattutto di notte, quando i vicini andavano e venivano. Un giorno, il sistema di sollevamento non è riuscito a rilevare la mia tessera della camera e ho quasi perso il mio tour per questo motivo. Un altro giorno, dopo essere tornato dall'esterno, la mia tessera della camera non poteva essere utilizzata per aprire la porta o azionare l'ascensore. Infine, il menu della colazione era quasi lo stesso ogni giorno e dopo quattro giorni mi sono stancato."

"La posizione dell'hotel e la camera sono buone ma la pulizia era cattiva ! Il bastone è pieno di ”punti neri” ma lo lasciano, anche cercare di pulirlo! E nessun vuoto ? I capelli sono ancora ovunque quando tornano. Non laveranno neanche la spazzatura che avevamo usato."
