Puri Bagus Resort in Lovina is heavenly. Everything from the lovely, detached villa, to the infinity pool is delightful. We stayed a week enjoying the beach, pool, sunsets, spa treatments, cultural show, food and beverage, and surroundings. The Deluxe Ocean Villa is a stone's throw from the beach and is very spacious with a huge main room, ocean view patio, large bathroom and showers both inside and outdoors (in a secluded space off the bathroom). Spa treatment is excellent and very affordable. The outdoor, yet private, spa treatment setting is spectacular with a close-up beach view, and beautiful pools of water and fountains around you. Yoga class can be arranged with the resort's very talented instructor, also director of the spa. Yoga takes place in a special building with glass doors opening onto the beautifully landscaped resort grounds and Bali Sea. Breakfast by the pool is a treat and features all you can eat hot and cold specialties from a buffet. Eggs and other items made to order. The management and staff are exceptionally friendly, efficient and professional. Customer service is a high priority for this staff. In the surrounding area, we enjoyed nearby waterfalls in the mountains, and hot spring swimming parks, both in the mountains and on the shore. Cooking classes can be found at the resort or within walking distance at Warung Bambu Pemaron. Lovina is a fun town to visit (free shuttle from the resort in the mornings). We stayed at Puri Bagus in 2016 as well and thoroughly enjoyed our visits on both stays. With the south of Bali becoming so much more crowded and noiser, we prefer the peace and tranquility of the north.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo magico resort solo 3 notti…troppo poco per godere di questo fantastico e sorprendente luogo.! Tutto perfetto!!! 10 stelle per tutto lo staff.. un particolare grazie a Kartika, Yumi, Yessi, Ayu …che con i loro calorosi sorrisi , delicata gentilezza e la massima attenzione ad ogni minima esigenza ci hanno coccolato fino all’ultimo minuto . Grande professionalità!!! Abbiam cenato ogni sera presso il ristorante della struttura, pietanze gustose sia per gli occhi che per il palato. Colazione abbondante e deliziosa, grande varietà e scelta tra leccornie dolci e salate. Eccezionale !!! La nostra camera , al secondo piano, era bellissima e pulita!! Sicuramente torneremo presto !!!! Grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff

From the moment we arrived we were treated like kings. The service was flawless and the team demonstrated a genuine interest in our happiness and great experience. The villa was spotless and the housekeeping team had great attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent, all the food fresh and delicious. We had a private dinner setup in our villa one night which was incredible! The table setup / flower filled pool / candles everywhere in hand made holders to the service and food! Such a great night. Overall a fantastic stay and well worth a visit. The villa, the views, the peace and quiet top notch

We just came back from our holiday and Amandari is a beautiful place we were so happy there. Everyone was so nice and attentive especially DewaAyu from the restaurant. We look forward to her wonderful smile everyday and she always was so helpful and understanding. We will miss DewaAyu and everyone dearly and hopefully we will meet again one day. Amandari was one of the best places we have ever stayed and we will cherish those special moments forever.

Un posto bellissimo con tanto potenziale ma.... Durante la nostra prima notte, abbiamo sentito un topo che girava sul tetto per tutta la notte. Ci siamo svegliati e abbiamo trovato cacca di topo ovunque, anche vicino al letto. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiare camera e non abbiamo sentito più nulla di notte dopo aver cambiato la nostra stanza, ma ogni mattina abbiamo trovato cacca di topo vicino al letto. Inoltre, non poter utilizzare Grab è un grosso problema. Gli autisti locali fanno pagare una quantità ridicola di denaro, quindi se hai intenzione di fare un giro nel centro di Ubud, questo resort non fa per te.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at The Samaya Ubud. We spent 3 nights at the Ayung Villa and did not want to leave! The villa is very spacious, clean and well maintained – with just the right balance between modern and Balinese style decor. The bathroom is huge and equipped with a private jaccuzi. There is also a 1.8m-deep private swimming pool that is quite large. The hotel consists of a number of villas and they are a fair distance away from the reception area, but a buggy service is provided to transport guests back and forth from their villas. The Samaya Ubud has a beautiful scenery and is centrally located, it is only about 15-minute drive away from local attractions such as the Ubud Monkey Forest and Saraswati Temple. A free shuttle service from the hotel to Ubud Central is provided. The service was impeccable, every single one of the staff that we met during our stay was extremely friendly and helpful. We had informed the hotel that we were visiting Bali to celebrate my birthday / our honeymoon, and they provided us with complimentary wine, decorated our room with flowers, and even surprised me with a cake on my birthday (right after we checked out & just before we left!) We felt very well looked-after throughout our stay here and we could tell that they truly served from the heart. One of the highlights of our stay was the romantic candlelit dinner at the Swept Away restaurant overlooking the Ayung River. The 7-course dinner was delicious, and the staff were very attentive throughout the dinner. We couldn’t finish everything and they helped to pack the remaining food and delivered them to our room. The dinner set up was very beautiful – the staff went above and beyond with the set up, placing 100 candles around the dining area, even at the riverbank! They also kindly helped us take many photos and videos to capture this unforgettable moment. We really loved our stay at The Samaya Ubud, and we are hoping to go back there one day. Tranquillità e pace ad Ubud. Quando arrivi in questo Boutique Hotel e percorri il lungo viale che ti porta alla piscina ti senti già lontano dal caos e dalla confusione di Ubud. Poi arrivi alla fine e davanti a te ti si apre una vista magnifica sulla Rain Forest e da lì non te ne vorresti mai andare. La Villa che avevamo era a due piani con piscina privata, peccato che l’acqua era sempre fredda perché immersa nella vegetazione e quindi non prendeva mai sole. Purtroppo a differenza delle camere standard, le ville non affacciano sulla Rain Forest. La colazione è a là carte con tante proposte sia dolci che salate. Buona anche la cucina del ristorante, ma Ubud offre centinaia di ristoranti. Personale sempre gentile, disponibile e cordiale. All’arrivo ci hanno offerto anche un massaggio di 10 minuti per rilassare le spalle o i piedi!

This place is a must, as the staff are OUTSTANDING. I had an issue with noise from another room and they promptly solved the issue with kindness...they go above and beyond to make you feel like you are really at HOME. The grounds are beautiful. I will definitely return here...Thank u Kajane Team!!!!!

I have stayed here before in the past and booked 8 days. Was looking forwards to staying here again but it was not the same. Still beautiful villas and rooms and beautiful gardens and pool but everything else was a complete failure. First they no longer do a shuttle run into Ubud centre. My room was not available for my first night. So put in an alternative one which I was happy with. Just not happy that because I was going to be moved the next day I really couldn't unpack and settle in. They could have asked me if I wanted to stay in that room as it didn't get anyone else in for the next 7 days. In your room you no longer get the supply of tea, coffee and sugar but you get the cups and kettle. I had to plug mine in in the bathroom as there was no socket near the tray on the cupboard. So I also washed my cup in the bathroom and one day left my teaspoon in there next to my toothbrush. When I came home after an outing the receptionist pulled me up about housekeeping said a teaspoon was missing!!! Really awkward and not appropriate. Then one morning I wanted to have a nice early bath in the beautiful bathtub, but the plug would not stay down and keep the water in. So that didn't happen until later in the day. Also the bathroom towels had seen better days. At the start of my stay I ordered dinner from the restaurant. That was a big failure. The cordeon Blue was rough and dry with no self saucing, only a little bowl of tartare sauce which is normal for a fish meal but not chicken and the chips were the frozen type and uneatable. So I didn't eat here for the rest of my stay. The street outside has become very popular since the pandemic with several new really good restaurants, cafes and lovely spas.

È un posto magico e veramente singolare, soprattutto per noi europei. Abbiamo dormito in bungalow, in pratica una palafitta su uno stagno, con il bagno all’esterno, com’è tipico a Bali. Si è immersi nella natura, in mezzo alle risaie e la mattina ti svegli e vedi i contadini con il loro tipico cappello che vanno a curare la terra! Molto suggestivo!! E chiaramente con i suoni tipici della natura ad ogni ora! Deve piacere una cosa de genere! L’ambiente è curato, pulito e il personale è veramente molto gentile e disponibile! Al ristorante si mangia bene, la colazione è molto vasta e ogni mattina c’è diversa scelta di frutta. Anche nel pomeriggio è sempre disponibile un piccolo buffet con cosine da poter mangiare.
