Yi Yuan Village is a quaint, peaceful and authentic hideaway in the mountains, away from the tourist crowds that cause chaos further down the valley back towards Song Yang City. It has a few homestays, ours at Yi Yin being the best and most recently opened. The host family (Ceng) is generous and hospitable, friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms were spotless and clean, nicely furnished and easy to reach, nearer the entrance to the village. All meals were freshly made with home-made or locally sourced ingredients, very tasty! They helped us arrange several day trips with an excellent driver (Xiao Bao) whom I also highly recommend. He can be contacted through the host family; he is popular, so I would suggest you request his services once you have confirmed your stay at Yi Yin. Yi Yin is well placed for visiting the surrounding area; there is daily, regular public transport to and from the village and surrounding countryside.

We had a amazing time here. We arrived by taxi in the village (which is beautiful) and got a beautiful room. The host and his family are really friendly. They showed us the surrounding and we ate together. In the area are a lot of beautiful old buildings and also some moderne buildings (tofu factory and rice wine factory). We felt like a part of the village and loved to stay here!

A perfect getaway from the city. The previous village that existed here was renovated and turned into a hotel, but it still retains its countryside charm. There are various activities from swimming in the infinity pool and playing pool in the games room. The food is fresh and tasty and there is coffee in the room, as well as at breakfast.
